The actor also explained the physical and mental benefits of the practice. He said Sahaja helps deepen the connection with nature and boosts inner awareness. From a scientific point of view, Vidyut noted that the practice activates neuroreceptors and proprioceptors in the body. This process improves balance, coordination and sensory feedback. It also increases body awareness and sharpens mental focus.

Emraan Hashmi has never been one to mince his words, and his latest comments on the success of Dhurandhar have once again sparked conversation within the Hindi film industry. While praising Aditya Dhar’s ambitious espionage thriller, the actor also called out what he described as a “CRAP MENTALITY” in Bollywood, where people often speak negatively about films instead of celebrating success.

Speaking to India Today, Emraan reflected on how Dhurandhar has rewritten box office rules and why its success should be seen as a win for the entire industry. According to him, the tendency to pull films down is deeply counterproductive, especially at a time when theatres need consistent footfalls.

Talking about this mindset, Emraan said, “Whenever a film does a certain amount of business, firstly, you’re happy. [However,] there is a crap mentality in our industry. People like [to] run-down films. But I’m of the opinion that if something does well, you should celebrate that. Because that really… the more films do well, it gets for the industry, and the cash flow comes in. It helps everyone. So, that crap mentality shouldn’t be there.”

His remarks come at a time when Dhurandhar is being hailed as a game-changer for Hindi cinema. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film released on December 5, 2025, and has since shattered long-standing domestic box office records. As of early January 2026, the espionage thriller has crossed Rs 840 crore nett in India (as per producer figures), overtaking Pushpa 2 The Rule to become the highest-grossing Hindi film in the domestic market.

Clocking in at nearly three and a half hours, Dhurandhar defied the belief that modern audiences lack patience for long-format storytelling. Emraan openly admired this bold creative choice, even admitting that he has not yet watched the film himself.

He said, “But it’s great for the makers. I think it’s a great film. The marketing of the film, the way it’s… I’ve not seen the film, but it’s audacious when you have two parts like that. And a film that is almost three and a half hours, but it’s doing that kind of business.”

Emraan also pointed out how audiences are flocking to cinemas at odd hours. He added, “I was telling someone right now that the cinema experience would be four hours, but people are going and seeing it at 12 o’clock shows, even early in the morning. And that’s the power of cinema and word of mouth. It’s caught on like wildfire.”

Bangladesh Unrest: India’s external affairs ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has remarked that there is a ‘troubling tendency’ in Bangladesh to attack minorities, especially Hindus.

In recent past, there have been many attacks on minority communities after Sharif Osman Hadi was killed in December. According to the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council (BHBCUC), 51 incidents of communal violence in December have reported in the month of December alone.

Jaiswal added that India continues to notice a disturbing pattern of recurring minority attacks as well as their businesses and homes by Islamic extremists. He further added that such hate crimes should be firmly and swiftly dealt. Jaiswal added that there is a growing tendency among many to attribute such hate crimes to political differences, personal rivalries or extraneous reasons.

The MEA spokesperson added that the disregard of Bangladesh of such incidents emboldens the perpetrators. Jaiswal also said that this deepens the sense of insecurity and fear among minorities.

In the last few days, many Hindus have been brutally killed. Sarat Chakraborty Mani, Dipu Chandra Das, Amrit Mondal, Rana Pratap Bairagi and many more were killed in broad daylight while a Hindu widow was gangraped and a video was made of the brutality.

In the state’s battle against drugs, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh” continues to make significant headway, with notable results on its 314th day of operation. The project, which was started with the goal of eliminating drug usage and trafficking from Punjab, has once again witnessed strong enforcement actions that resulted in numerous arrests, seizures, and attempts at rehabilitation.

Punjab Police conducted coordinated raids in 320 places across the state on the 314th day of this enhanced anti-drug campaign. 82 suspected drug traffickers were apprehended as a result of these operations, and 62 First Information Reports against individuals engaged in illicit drug activity were filed. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the period political drama aimed to depict the 1965 Anti-Hindi Imposition agitations in Tamil Nadu.

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 36: After a spectacular start, the momentum of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar appears to be slowing down. The Ranveer Singh-led espionage thriller has been a dominant force at the Indian box office, inching closer to the Rs 800 crore net mark domestically. However, the arrival of the latest big release, The Raja Saab, has shifted audience attention, leaving Dhurandhar fighting to maintain its footing.

The film had an exceptional run during its first few weeks, earning consistently in double digits for 28 consecutive days, which is rare for any Bollywood film to achieve. Week-wise, Dhurandhar raked in Rs 207.25 crore in week one, Rs 253.25 crore in week two, Rs 172 crore in week three, Rs 106.5 crore in week four, and Rs 51.25 crore in week five.

However, after the fifth Monday (Day 32), the film’s earnings began to decline sharply, collecting around Rs 4–5 crore per day. The downward trend continued on Day 36, as The Raja Saab opened in theatres and dominated screens nationwide. On Friday, Dhurandhar earned Rs 3.50 crore net in India, taking its total domestic tally to Rs 793.75 crore net. The Hindi version recorded an overall occupancy of 14.03% for the day.

Occupancy rates have steadily declined over the past week. On Day 36, the average occupancy was 15.25%, with morning and afternoon shows at 7.97% and 16.7%, and evening and night shows at 17.41% and 18.93%, respectively. Despite the dip, the film continues to run on over 2,900 screens across the country, reflecting its enduring popularity.

About The Film

Dhurandhar features a star-studded ensemble, including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan.
