According to fresh industry reports, the film has already completed its shoot and is currently in post-production. A source said to Bollywood Hungama, “The shoot of the film has been successfully completed and right now, post-production is going on. There has indeed been a delay, but a team has been dedicatedly working on the film regularly.”

The insider further added, “Akshay Kumar has shot for the film for 25 days and has poured life into the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Moreover, Mahesh Manjrekar has mounted the film on a grand scale. It has shaped up to be one of the grandest films in Indian cinema.”

Reports also suggest the makers are considering a January 1, 2027 release, though an official announcement is still awaited.

Netizens React To Casting Of Akshay Kumar

Earlier reports about the film being shelved had brought relief to some netizens. But the new update has once again started a debate online. Many users feel Akshay Kumar may not be suitable for another historical role, especially after the poor response to Samrat Prithviraj.

Reacting to the update, one user wrote, “Ye sab type role me akki jamte nhi h aur ye movie chalegi bhi nhi.”

Another commented, “This was better off being shelved. Akki is not the actor for this genre!!”

A third user said, “Please replace him with someone else .”

For the unversed, Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj was a big flop at the box office. Many viewers felt Akshay Kumar was not the right choice to play a 26-year-old king. Critics and fans also pointed out that the film lacked strong historical accuracy, had a weak screenplay, and included less impressive action scenes compared to other period dramas.

Another major issue was the fast shooting schedule. Akshay Kumar reportedly completed his part in just 42 to 46 days. This rushed approach led to criticism that the film did not get enough time or effort. He was also trolled for using a fake moustache instead of growing a real one for the role.

According to an official update, police teams arrested 132 drug smugglers during coordinated raids conducted at various locations in Punjab. Authorities also seized 4.1 kg of heroin, 23 units of poppy husk, and 704 intoxicant tablets and capsules.

In addition to enforcement measures, the police highlighted efforts toward rehabilitation. As many as 28 individuals were persuaded to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment, reflecting a dual approach of strict action against traffickers and support for those struggling with substance abuse.


The anti-drug campaign, backed by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force Punjab, has seen consistent operations across districts. Officials stated that raids were carried out simultaneously at multiple locations, ensuring wider coverage and impact.


With the latest arrests, the total number of drug smugglers apprehended during the campaign has reached 61,103 over 422 days, underscoring the scale and persistence of the crackdown.

The Priyadarshan-directed horror-comedy collected below Rs 5 crore on Monday, marking a major dip in collections after Sunday’s jump. Despite the fall, the film has still crossed the Rs 115 crore mark in India.

According to trade estimates, Bhooth Bangla earned Rs 3.65 crore on its second Monday. This takes the domestic total to Rs 117.05 crore. The film had shown strong momentum over the weekend, but weekday numbers brought the expected decline.

The second weekend trend remained strong. The film earned Rs 5.75 crore on second Friday, followed by Rs 10.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.50 crore on Sunday. However, collections came down sharply on the second Monday with Rs 3.65 crore.

Even with the dip, the film reportedly maintained around 10% occupancy on Monday.

It is said that emergency workers made a woman clean up vomit from a car while her husband, who needed medical help badly, was still inside.

The video was put online on April 25, 2026. Since then, it has become popular and been criticised by both regular people and government officials.

What Went Wrong?

Sources say that Rahul Burman, 32, from the Umaria-Barhi Road area, was seriously hurt in a car crash. He was first taken to a nearby health centre. After that, he was taken to Katni District Hospital in an 108 ambulance to get better care.

Reports say Rahul threw up while on the trip because he was so sick. Mohit Nayak, who worked in the ambulance, is said to have told the victim’s wife to use water to clean up the vomit inside the ambulance when they got to the hospital.

The government quickly did something after people complained. The chief civil surgeon of Katni, Dr Yashwant Verma, said that the problem is being looked into carefully. The person in charge of the 108 ambulance and the driver have both been sent letters asking them to explain themselves within a week.

People in charge have said that harsh punishments will be given if the answers are not good enough. When the tape first came out, Dr Raj Singh Thakur played down what happened. But after it was criticised, he promised a full investigation.

In recent weeks, the shortage and high pricing of fuels such as petrol, diesel and LPG have forced governments across the world to increase fuel prices. It is expected that LPG prices may be upwardly revised, turning meals into nightmares for millions of Indians.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas-Expected Changes In May 2026?

Major oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) are possibly discussing a series of delivery protocols. An official announcement is likely in the month of May 2026 that may redefine the entire LPG booking and distribution landscape.

A nationwide revision of LPG cylinder prices is likely on May 1, 2026, by OMCs. It is believed that there may be an increase of Rs. 30-50 for 14.2 kg domestic cylinders and a hike of Rs. 80-120 for 19 kg commercial cylinders.

The Union Government is likely to make the Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system that relies on a one-time password (OTP) mandatory while also revising the present 25-day “lock in period” needed between subsequent LPG cylinders’ bookings to 35-40 days. It is also expected that Biometric eKYC would stay mandatory for Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana’s beneficiaries. All LPG consumers in the country could be re-advised to complete their eKYC to maintain their subsidies and connections. The supply of 5 kg free trade LPG cylinders for migrant workers is likely to stay doubled.

Mira Road Attack: US-Educated Jaib Zubair Ansari Arrested for Brutal Stabbing of Two Security Guards For Not Reciting ‘Kalma,’ ISIS Propaganda Link Under Intense Police Probe

Two security guards were brutally attacked on Mira Road in the early hours of April 27–28, 2026. This has shaken the area. Jaib Zubair Ansari, the man accused, was 31 years old and had gone to school in the US. He was arrested within hours of the attack.

Reports say that the attack happened around 4 AM at a construction site in Naya Nagar, Mira Road East. One guard was seriously hurt, and another guard had minor injuries.

What Went Down at the Site

The victims, whose names were Rajkumar Mishra and Subroto Sen, were working when the suspect allegedly came up to them and started asking them about their religion.

According to police sources, the accused allegedly told the victims to recite the Islamic declaration of faith (Kalma) after they found out they were Hindu. When they couldn’t do what he wanted, he allegedly attacked them with a knife.

Mishra is still in serious condition after suffering severe injuries, including critical damage to his abdomen. Sen, on the other hand, is stable after suffering less severe injuries.

Concerns About the Accused’s Background

Investigators have found that Ansari went back to India in 2019 after studying in the US. He was reportedly living alone in a rented apartment on Mira Road and was about to be kicked out.

Authorities used CCTV footage to find him and arrested him within 90 minutes of the attack. Early results show that his online history included repeated exposure to extremist content linked to ISIS, which raises concerns about self-radicalisation.

ATS Gets Involved, Investigation Heats Up

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) is now in charge of the case. They are looking into possible links to extremists and the possibility of a lone-wolf attack.

Reports say that officials found a note from the suspect that mentioned words like “ISIS,” “real jihad,” “lone wolf,” and “Gaza,” as well as threatening language. But investigators have not yet found any direct handler or organised network behind the event.

Odisha Viral Video: In a shocking incident that has sparked nationwide outrage, Jeetu Munda of Dianali village, a tribal man in Odisha’s Keonjhar district, brought the skeleton of his dead sister Kalara. Social media users were outraged to see the turn of events. Many commented that such heartless bank officials must be immediately sacked while some commented that it is a big shame for India.

In the now viral video, Jeetu could be seen carrying the skeleton of his sister Kalara, frustrated and unaware of the legal process. The man decided to walk with the skeleton of his sister after apathetic bank officials repeatedly told him to bring the accountholder in person. This was despite Jeetu repeatedly telling them that his sister passed away.

Jeetu visited the Odisha Gramya Bank, Malisahi branch and placed his sister’s skeleton in front of the bank premises. The bizarre act drew immediate attention of the local residents and authorities. Members of Patna Police rushed immediately to the spot and took the remains back for reburial in Dianali village.

The 50-year-old Jeetu was trying to withdraw a sum of Rs. 19,300 from the account of his late sister. Kalara had expired on January 26, 2026.

Reactions From Authorities

Local Block Development Officer (BDO) Manas Dandpat said he was unaware of the matter and would help in resolving the matter at the earliest. Patna police station inspector in charge (IIC) Kiran Prasad Sahu remarked that bank officials should have better helped the illiterate tribal man.
