Loose Motions: How To Balance Excess Pitta In Summers? Nutritionist Weighs In

Loose Motions

Loose Motions: For some of us, loose motions are a common complaint during the summer months, especially in individuals with a pitta-dominant constitution. As temperatures rise, so does the internal heat of the body, often disturbing digestion and leading to symptoms like frequent bowel movements, acidity, dehydration and general gut discomfort.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, this is a classic case of aggravated pitta dosha, the energy responsible for heat, metabolism, and transformation in the body.

Why Loose Motions Are Common in Summers?

During summer, the external heat naturally increases the pitta within the body. Pitta resides primarily in the small intestine and governs digestion. When it becomes excessive, it can “overheat” the digestive system, leading to rapid digestion, poor absorption, and loose stools.

In addition to seasonal changes, dietary habits also play a significant role. Spicy, oily, fermented and acidic foods further aggravate pitta. Combine this with dehydration, irregular eating patterns and exposure to heat, and the digestive system becomes vulnerable.

People with a pitta-dominant prakriti (constitution) are particularly prone to these issues. They tend to have a strong digestive fire, but when imbalanced, it can become erratic and inflammatory.

The Ayurvedic Approach to Managing Pitta

Ayurveda emphasizes balance through opposites. Since pitta is hot, sharp, and slightly oily in nature, it can be balanced with foods and practices that are cooling, soothing, and mildly drying.

Try:

  • Favouring cooling foods like cucumber, coconut, and fresh dairy
  • Avoiding excessive spices, fried foods, and sour items
  • Staying hydrated with room-temperature fluids
  • Eating at regular intervals and avoiding overeating

The Curd, Curry Leaves and Haldi Remedy

If you experience frequent loose motions during summer or if your constitution naturally leans toward pitta, you can try this remedy. To get started, you would need 2 tablespoons of fresh curd, add 7–8 curry leaves (either dried or finely chopped fresh), add a pinch of turmeric (haldi) and mix well until uniform.

It is best consumed mid-morning, ideally between 8–10 AM. Continue for 7–8 days consistently.

Influencer and socialite Orry aka Orhan Awatramani has responded strongly after his name surfaced in reports related to the Rs 252 crore Mumbai drug case. The case, linked to an alleged mephedrone trafficking network, also mentioned several Bollywood personalities, including Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor and Nora Fatehi. However, Mumbai Police have reportedly found no evidence connecting them to the investigation so far.

The development has once again brought attention to how names from the entertainment industry are often pulled into high-profile controversies during ongoing probes. Orry, who was earlier questioned by the Mumbai Crime Branch’s Anti-Narcotics Cell in November 2025, has now spoken out on social media after fresh reports triggered online discussion.

Orry Breaks Silence On Viral Drug Case Mentions

Orhan Awatramani reacted on Instagram Stories on Saturday, April 25, and directly addressed the attention his name has received in connection with the case. He called out misleading narratives and expressed frustration over how the reports were amplified online.

He wrote, “Where are all those click baiting jealous virgins who over sensationalized this and dragged my good name for weeks ???”

Check his post below

How Orry’s Name Entered The Investigation

Orry’s name reportedly surfaced after statements linked to Mohammed Salim Sohail Shaikh, also known as Lavish, a drug supplier who was deported from Dubai. Shaikh is considered a key accused in the Rs 252 crore mephedrone case being investigated by the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell.

Further reports suggested that another accused, Taher Dola, who was extradited from the UAE, allegedly made statements during interrogation mentioning several individuals from the entertainment and business world. These claims included names of actors, models, and public figures allegedly attending drug-related parties, though none of these claims have been legally proven.

Authorities have continued their investigation, but as of now, there is no confirmed evidence linking Orry or the other mentioned celebrities to any wrongdoing in the case.

Who Is Orhan Awatramani?

Orhan Awatramani is a social media personality and influencer who gained popularity in 2023. He is often seen with Bollywood celebrities and is frequently referred to as “Bollywood’s BFF”.

He became an internet sensation for his unusual captions, expressive poses, and public appearances at high-profile events. Orry has also studied at Parsons School of Design and is associated with a corporate role linked to Reliance Industries’ chairperson’s office, where he reportedly works on special projects.

Over time, he has built a strong digital presence, often trending for his lifestyle content and celebrity interactions. However, his name has also occasionally appeared in controversies, especially due to his proximity to Bollywood’s inner circle.

Viral Video

Viral Video: Every now and then, the internet gifts us a video that makes people laugh, gasp and question the laws of household physics all at the same time.

In a now viral video, a wife could be seen thrashing her husband with a belt in anger repeatedly after he came home a bit late. The man is pleading for mercy but the wife shows no remorse.

Viral Video-Turn Of Events

In the video, things start off deceptively normal. A man enters his home late and his wife does not argue. She does not negotiate. She does not even ask for a reason.

She picks up a belt and starts thrashing her husband like a crazy individual. The sudden role reversal leaves viewers stunned, amused, and slightly confused about whether they are watching a domestic moment, a comedy sketch, or a new form of reality-based action cinema.

Social Media Comments

A user wrote, “So now even entering your own house requires a risk assessment? Man came home late, not into a WWE match. This escalated faster than any argument I’ve ever seen. Honestly, I’m still processing how we got here so quickly.” Another commented, “The husband walked in with excuses ready, but life said skip dialogue. Straight to action scene with zero warning or background music. At this point, even scripts have better pacing than reality. This is less marriage, more survival training.”

Another user commented, “Everyone laughing but I’m just thinking… what was Plan B here? There was no time to explain, no time to react. Just instant consequences delivered at high speed. Time management suddenly feels very important.”  A user said, “UNO reverse card didn’t just get played, it got upgraded. This was UNO reverse, plus action pack, plus chaos mode. No one saw this coming, not even the husband. Honestly, I feel second-hand shock.”

Another user commented, “This is why people now pause at the door before entering. Not fear, just a quick emotional weather check. Is it safe to enter? Should be a normal question now. Because clearly, anything can happen.” A user commented, “I started watching this for fun, ended up questioning my own routine. Being late suddenly feels like a dangerous hobby. This video is less comedy, more warning message. The belt really carried the entire storyline.”

Released on March 19,  Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge was one of the most dominant films of the year. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy drama set new benchmarks at the box office and even pushed several films to postpone their release dates. On Day 37, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge collected around Rs 1.60 crore net in India, showing a small rise from Thursday’s Rs 1.55 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, this reflects a 3.2% growth, despite the film being in its sixth week.

The film also added around Rs 0.50 crore from overseas markets on Day 37. This takes its overseas gross to approximately Rs 423 crore so far.

The worldwide gross collection now stands at around Rs 1768.66 crore, keeping it among the top global earners of Indian cinema. Trade experts believe the film may maintain a steady trend over the weekend, though competition has increased sharply.

Competition From New Releases

New films have started affecting screen share and audience turnout. The Hollywood release Michael, based on Michael Jackson’s life, opened strongly with around Rs 5.50 crore in India.

At the same time, Bhooth Bangla collected around Rs 5.75 crore on the same day, slightly ahead of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge in daily momentum. While competition has become tighter, the Ranveer Singh starrer still leads in lifetime earnings by a huge margin.

Even in its sixth week, Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge is showing stability instead of a sharp fall. The daily earnings may be lower compared to its peak phase, but the film continues to add consistent numbers to its total.

Trade reports suggest that a stable weekend could help the film move closer to the Rs 1,770 crore worldwide milestone, keeping it firmly in record-breaking territory.

BTS Documentary To Release After Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge

Fresh reports suggest that director Aditya Dhar is planning a theatrical behind-the-scenes feature for the Dhurandhar franchise by late 2026. The project is expected to include unseen footage, cast interviews, and exclusive moments from the spy universe.

Viral Video

Viral Video: Weddings are usually a carefully choreographed blend of emotions, rituals, expensive outfits and expensive gifts. But every once in a while, something happens that breaks the predictable pattern and turns a normal ceremony into a legendary internet moment.

Viral Video-Turn Of Events

In a now viral video, a well-dressed man can be seen casually walking into a wedding ceremony with an LPG cylinder on his shoulder. Many guests were left shocked in disbelief while some shared a good laugh. Then the slow realization that yes, this is actually happening and no, it is not part of a performance.

In today’s times when there is a massive shortage of LPG cylinders in the country, this is undoubtedly a perfect gift. No wonder, the newly wed husband and wife took good time to click with the wedding guest with the LPG cylinder.

Social Media Comments

A social media user commented, “Forget gold chains and fancy envelopes, this is the real investment gift. At least this one guarantees food will be cooked in the new house. Inflation-proof and fully practical.” Another user wrote, “The groom smiling while secretly calculating how many meals this cylinder will last. Romance is cute, but survival budgeting is cuter in 2026. This gift understands reality better than most finance apps.”

A user commented, “I laughed first, then I paused and thought… this is actually genius. No dust, no decoration, just direct contribution to daily life. Wedding gifting just got a reality update.” Another user commented, “Crockery sets watching this video are having an existential crisis. Were we ever really useful or just emotionally expensive? This cylinder just ended their entire category.”

One user commented quite practically by saying, “This is the only wedding gift that comes with a utility guarantee. You don’t display it, you don’t store it, you use it daily. Practicality level: overpowered.” Another commented, “People gift memories, this man gifted monthly survival. Love fades, flowers die, but LPG refills keep you going. Truly the most stable relationship in the room.”

Haryana News: Free Bus Service For THESE Haryana Residents Announced! Will This Meaningful Act Reshape The Future Of ‘Divyang’?

Haryana News

Haryana News: Haryana Roadways has announced that it would be offering free bus services in ordinary Haryana Roadways buses to ‘Divyang’ persons with 40 to 99 percent disability.

A notification for the same issued on April 24 by the State Transport Department’s Administrative Secretary after consultation with Finance Department. The move is expected to benefit more than 1.22 lakh ‘Divyang’ persons in the state.

Haryana News-What’s Special?

In a significant step toward inclusive mobility, the Haryana Roadways has announced a major expansion of its free travel scheme for differently-abled individuals, often referred to as ‘Divyang’ citizens.

For the common man, public transport is more than just a means of getting from one place to another as it is a lifeline that connects people to education, employment, healthcare and social participation.

State Network With A Social Mission

To understand the impact of this move, it’s important to look at the scale of Haryana’s public transport system. Haryana Roadways operates an extensive network comprising 24 depots and 13 sub-depots. Every day, approximately 4,108 buses travel nearly 11.38 lakh kilometres, serving over 6 lakh passengers.

Currently, nearly 40 categories of passengers benefit from free or concessional travel. These include students, senior citizens and various marginalized groups. However, the latest update specifically addresses long-standing concerns within the Divyang community.

For years, Divyang individuals and advocacy groups have pushed for broader eligibility criteria. Their argument was simple that disability exists on a spectrum, and mobility barriers do not disappear just because someone is not classified as 100 percent disabled.

Recognizing this concern, the Haryana government has now extended free travel in ordinary buses to individuals with 40 to 99 percent disability. This marks a significant policy shift – one that acknowledges inclusivity beyond rigid categories.

While the financial relief is undeniably important, the deeper impact lies in dignity and participation. Accessible and affordable transport empowers individuals to be active members of society rather than passive dependents.

Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection Day 8: The horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla continues its steady run at the box office as it enters its second week. Starring Akshay Kumar, the film has managed to stay consistent even after a mid-week dip. On Day 8, the film showed slight growth, proving that audience interest has not faded yet despite new releases in cinemas.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla has completed eight days in theatres and is still one of the notable box office performers of 2026. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film continues to perform steadily across urban and mass centres. Even with competition, it has maintained a stable hold at the box office.

Bhooth Bangla Box Office Collection 8

On Day 8 (second Friday), Bhooth Bangla collected Rs 5.75 crore net in India, showing a small rise from the previous day’s Rs 5.50 crore. This indicates that the film is still attracting audiences despite weekday pressure.

With this, the total India net collection has reached around Rs 90.15 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 107.20 crore. The worldwide total has climbed to approximately Rs 144.70 crore, including steady overseas earnings.

The Day 8 numbers suggest that the film has not dropped sharply and is maintaining a stable run as it heads into its second weekend.

The second week is now the most important phase for Bhooth Bangla. After a strong opening weekend, the film saw a natural dip during weekdays but avoided a major collapse.

Trade reports suggest that the film has been consistently earning over Rs 5 crore daily on weekdays, which is helping it stay in the race. The real test will come during the second weekend when collections are expected to decide whether the film can extend its theatrical success.

Limited Impact From New Releases

The film is currently running alongside new release Ginny Weds Sunny 2 and holdover titles like Michael. However, neither has significantly affected its performance.

Ginny Weds Sunny 2 opened on a weak note, earning only around Rs 27 lakh on its first day. On the other hand, Michael has shown slightly better stability with overall earnings of around Rs 5.50 crore from paid previews and early shows, but still remains behind Bhooth Bangla on most days. Another film, Dhurandhar 2, is also in theatres but is earning at very low levels.

Despite multiple releases, Bhooth Bangla continues to draw its core audience, especially in mass centres where Akshay Kumar’s appeal remains strong.

About Bhooth Bangla

Bhooth Bangla marks a long-awaited reunion between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years. The film blends horror and comedy with a supernatural storyline set in a rural mansion.

The story follows Arjun, played by Akshay Kumar, who inherits a haunted ancestral property in the village of Mangalpur. He plans to use it for his sister’s wedding, ignoring local warnings about a dark force known as Vadhusur.

The film features an ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and others. With a runtime of around 164 minutes, the film has been certified UA 16+. With Rs 90 crore already in its domestic collection, Bhooth Bangla is now just a step away from the Rs 100 crore mark. The film is expected to cross the milestone this weekend.

Oily Scalp: Flakes Or Follicle Failure? Dermatologist Offers Practical Hair-Saving Advice

Oily Scalp

Oily Scalp: An oily scalp can feel like a never-ending battle. You wash your hair, and within a few hours or a day, it looks greasy again. Add scalp flakes into the mix, and it becomes even more confusing. Is it dandruff or something more serious such as early hair thinning?

What Causes An Oily Scalp?

The human scalp naturally produces sebum, an oily substance that protects and moisturizes the skin. However, when sebaceous glands become overactive, excess oil accumulates. This can be triggered by several factors:

  • Hormonal fluctuations
  • Hot, humid weather
  • Over-washing or harsh shampoos
  • Poor diet
  • Stress

It is important to note here that stripping the scalp with aggressive cleansing can backfire. When the scalp is overly dry, it signals the glands to produce even more oil, creating a vicious cycle.

What Are Scalp Flakes?

Flakes on an oily scalp are commonly associated with dandruff, but not all flakes are the same.

Oily dandruff (seborrheic dermatitis) is the most likely culprit. It appears as yellowish, sticky flakes accompanied by itchiness and redness. This condition is linked to an overgrowth of a yeast-like organism that thrives in oily environments.

On the other hand, dry flakes are smaller, white, and powdery that often caused by dehydration or harsh hair products.

Misidentifying the type of flaking can lead to using the wrong treatments. For instance, applying heavy oils on an already oily, dandruff-prone scalp can worsen the problem.

When Oil Leads To Hair Fall?

An oily scalp, if not managed properly, can clog hair follicles. This buildup combined with sweat, dirt and dead skin creates an unhealthy environment for hair growth.

Over time, this can lead to:

  • Weakening of hair roots
  • Increased hair shedding
  • Slower regrowth
  • Inflammation around follicles

In more severe cases, chronic scalp inflammation can disrupt the hair growth cycle, pushing more hair into the shedding phase.

Dermatologist-Backed Solutions

Look for gentle, sulphate-free shampoos that cleanse without stripping natural oils. Ingredients like salicylic acid, zinc or ketoconazole can help control dandruff and reduce oiliness when used appropriately.

  • Applying thick oils directly to an already oily scalp can clog pores and worsen dandruff. If you do oil your hair, keep it minimal and focus on the lengths rather than the scalp.
  • Apply conditioner only to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair to prevent dryness without increasing scalp oiliness.
  • If you exercise regularly or spend time outdoors, rinsing your scalp or using a mild cleanser can prevent buildup.
  • Incorporate fresh fruits, vegetables, and adequate hydration to support overall skin health.

Heatwave Protection: Kids Face Heatstroke Horror! Ayurveda Expert’s Tips For Survival

Heatwave Protection

Heatwave Protection: As temperatures soar each summer, heatwaves are no longer just uncomfortable but dangerous too, especially for young children. This is simply because young bodies of children are less efficient compared to those of adults to regulate temperature, which makes them more vulnerable to dehydration, exhaustion, and in severe cases, heatstroke. Thankfully, you can always count on a Ayurveda that offers a time-tested, holistic approach to protecting children during extreme heat.

Drawing from centuries of wisdom, Ayurvedic practices focus on balancing the body’s internal heat, strengthening resilience and nourishing from within. With the right foods, herbs and daily habits, parents can create a powerful shield against the harsh effects of rising temperatures.

Heatwave Protection-Why Children Are at Greater Risk?

Naturally, children have higher metabolic activity and tend to spend more time outdoors, often unaware of early warning signs like dizziness or fatigue. Heatstroke can escalate quickly, presenting symptoms such as flushed skin, rapid pulse, nausea and confusion. Prevention, therefore, becomes far more important than treatment.

The Power of Dates

In summer diets, dates are often overlooked because of their natural sweetness, but when consumed in moderation and soaked, they can be incredibly beneficial. Rich in natural sugars, iron and potassium, soaked dates provide sustained energy without overheating the body. They help replenish minerals lost through sweating and support overall stamina.

Munakka: Nature’s Rehydration Aid

Munakka, or dried black raisins, is a staple in Ayurvedic remedies for heat exhaustion. When soaked overnight, munakka becomes cooling and hydrating. It supports digestion, relieves constipation (a common summer issue) and helps maintain fluid balance.

Giving children a few soaked munakkas in the morning can help prevent dryness and internal heat buildup. It also supports liver function, which plays a role in detoxifying the body during stressful conditions like extreme heat.

Mulethi: The Soothing Root

Mulethi, or licorice root, is a powerful herb known for its cooling and soothing properties. It helps reduce inflammation, supports respiratory health and combats dryness caused by hot winds.

In summer, mulethi-infused water or a mild herbal drink can help children stay hydrated while calming the body’s internal heat. It is especially useful for kids prone to throat irritation or dry cough due to hot, dusty environments.

Amla: The Ultimate Summer Superfruit

Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is one of Ayurveda’s most revered fruits. Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, it strengthens immunity, improves digestion and most importantly, cools the body from within.

Amla juice diluted with water, or fresh amla chutneys, can be incorporated into daily meals. It helps combat fatigue, supports skin health (often affected by sun exposure) and enhances overall vitality.

For children, amla candy or murabba (in controlled portions) can be an appealing way to include this powerful ingredient in their diet.

Natural Coolants from the Kitchen

Ayurveda emphasizes using simple kitchen ingredients to balance the body’s heat.

Kokum: The Coastal Cooler

Kokum, widely used in western India, is known for its refreshing and cooling properties. It aids digestion, prevents acidity and reduces body heat. Kokum sherbet is an excellent alternative to packaged drinks and can be given to children during peak summer afternoons.

Imli (Tamarind): Tangy Relief

Imli, or tamarind, has a natural cooling effect and helps combat dehydration. Rich in electrolytes, it supports digestion and relieves heat-induced sluggishness. Tamarind water or light chutneys can be a great addition to meals, stimulating appetite in children who tend to eat less in the heat.

Anardana: Digestive Support

Dried pomegranate seeds, or anardana, are both cooling and digestive. They help maintain gut health, which often gets compromised during summer due to irregular eating patterns and dehydration. A pinch of anardana powder in meals or drinks can enhance flavour while supporting internal balance.

Mishri: Sweet Cooling Energy

Mishri, or rock sugar, is considered cooling in Ayurveda and is often used in summer beverages. Unlike refined sugar, mishri provides a gentle sweetness while helping to reduce body heat. It can be combined with fennel seeds or added to drinks like lemon water or milk to create a refreshing, child-friendly beverage.

Comedian Raj Sharma has passed away at the age of 50, leaving the comedy world in shock. The Dallas-based performer, known for his sharp crowd work and stage presence, breathed his last on Friday after battling multiple health issues in recent months. His death was confirmed through a post shared by one of the comedy clubs where he frequently performed.

The exact cause of death has not been officially disclosed. However, Raj Sharma had been facing serious health complications for some time. Despite his health struggles, he continued performing and stayed active on stage until recently, showing his dedication to comedy till the end.

Raj Sharma Dies At 50: Vir Das Remembers His Early Support

Comedian and Happy Patel Khartarnak Jasoos actor-director Vir Das paid an emotional tribute to Raj Sharma on Instagram. He recalled how Sharma played an important role in his early career in the United States and helped him find opportunities when he was still establishing himself.

Vir wrote, “Rest in Peace Raj Sharma. Raj Sharma got me my first-ever spot at the Laugh Factory. Convinced me I was good enough to compete in the American market. Gave me great advice, made me laugh HARD. He was a beast of a comedian. Crowd work that I still think is almost unparalleled.”

He also shared how he wanted to give back to Sharma later in his career. He added, “I’d always wanted to return the favour so he was the first person I programmed in the Weirdass Pajama festival and on Jestination Unknown. This profession of ours can harden people, and it’s a lonely one. Raj was always happy for someone who killed, brutal with someone who bombed. He certainly saw me do both, as I did him.”

Vir concluded his message by saying, “You were a good friend and a big heart. As a comedian, I leave you with the ultimate comics compliment: you were almost impossible to follow. Rest in peace, brother.”

Comedian’s Health Struggles In His Final Months

In the months leading up to his passing, Raj Sharma was reportedly dealing with multiple health complications that required frequent medical attention and hospital visits. These issues affected his daily life but did not completely stop him from performing.

He suffered from facial paralysis, which caused drooping on the left side of his face. He also battled facial cellulitis, a serious bacterial infection. Along with this, he experienced chronic nasal problems and repeated episodes of extreme fatigue that impacted his energy levels.

Despite these challenges, he continued to appear on stage and performed his final show, Raj Sharma & Friends, at the Addison Improv on March 18, 2026.

“This year she has won 117 medals.” At once, heads in the audience turned toward this tall, curly-haired 18-year-old girl who stood quietly with a cascade of medals around her neck. Beside her, a graceful middle-aged woman held another heap of medals in her hands, displaying them to Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the gathering at The Art of Living International Centre.

The youngster was Vihitha Nayana Loganathan of Bengaluru.

Today, she is the fastest female backstroker in India, a swimmer rewriting records. But behind the glitter of gold, silver, and bronze lies a story of fear, collapse, rebuilding, grit, and, most importantly, intuition.

 When Covid-19 Changed Everything

Vihitha had been winning scores of medals at the Junior Nationals. A promising young talent, coaches at the Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre (BAC), Bengaluru, were confident she would build a successful career, while her rivals never took her lightly in the water. While things were looking bright, COVID-19 upended everything.

Swimming pools were closed. Her regular training had stopped, and her swimming routine was totally disrupted for an indefinite period. Swimming, especially professional swimming, unlike most other sports, cannot survive long, indefinite pauses.

“When I returned to the water, I wasn’t the same,” says Vihitha.

Filled with self-doubt, fear of failure, and self-blame, as she stepped up for her race, the sound of an electronic beep signalling the start would make Vihitha shudder in panic.

She had already been ruling swimming pools at different national-level competitions in India. Yet, sweating palms, racing heartbeats, and trembling feet became her permanent nemeses before every competition.

“I would cry in solitude before the start of a competition,” Vihitha recalls. “I had never experienced that kind of panic before entering the pool,” she adds, “I couldn’t focus on the race and started losing matches.”

What concerned her parents wasn’t her making it to the podium. “It was the drastic change in her personality,” shares her father, Loganathan.

The once cheerful Vihitha was withdrawing into a cocoon. The pressure of expectations, failure, and loneliness began building quietly inside her. Vihitha adds, “I would choose to sit on the front bench in my classroom just to avoid conversations with my classmates.”

There is a teen mental health crisis simmering under the surface that demands a conversation today. As per the latest data, around 7.3% of young people (18–29) experience mental health morbidity, and over 1 in 5 adolescents (10–19) is battling issues like depression, anxiety, and severe stress.

“I could see my daughter bearing an unfathomable pain silently,” shares her father, “I couldn’t allow it to go further, and I encouraged Vihitha to attend the Intuition Process (IP) by The Art of Living.”

The Turning Point

“During the program, she would sit in one corner and hardly speak. The only thing she told me was that she used to swim regularly,” recalls Latha Kannan Iyer, Vihitha’s Intuition Process teacher.

Although her father had been associated with The Art of Living for a while, she did not make much of it initially.

But what drew her attention eventually was the atmosphere. “It was unlike anything in my classroom or the swimming pool,” smiles Vihitha. “For the first time, I didn’t feel judged.” In the program, Vihitha would go on to learn specific breathing techniques, meditation, silence, and team activities that would empower her to tap into her intuitive abilities, heighten her focus, and, most importantly, bring back her confidence.

The global spiritual master and humanitarian who designed the gift of Intuition Process, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar explains intuition as having “the right thought at the right moment.”

When children are stress-free, clear, and focused, they have natural access to this vast consciousness beyond time and space, and that is what The Art of Living’s Intuition Process helps children get access to.

Intuition Or Magic?

Just as she was instructed, Vihitha continued to practice the IP techniques for 40 days. It helped that her mom would give her constant reminders. But it was the changes she observed in herself that became her greatest motivation.

Now, instead of feeling overwhelmed, Vihitha began sitting quietly before a race. She would close her eyes. She would practice deep breathing, and then she would visualise the entire race. “It happened before a 50-metre backstroke race. ‘29.88’, this number flashed in my mind. I brushed it aside and finished the race. When I looked at the LED scoreboard, it was ‘29.88 sec’,” narrates Vihitha.

“Vihitha would tell me that while swimming, she could almost sense her opponents. She knew who was ahead, what was happening in the race, and what she needed to do,” shares Latha.

Reclaiming The Podium

Soon, Vihitha turned the tables on her self-doubt and regained her winning streak. She has represented India at the Bahrain Asian Youth Games, the Asian Championships in Ahmedabad, and the World Junior Championships in Romania. She has broken national records, won a gold medal at the National Games, and is now the reigning queen of backstroke in India. She has won around 150 medals in the last 3 years.

The Impact Beyond The Pool

As an international-level swimmer, Vihitha never had enough time to study. By the time she returned home after practice, she would be exhausted. She chose science in her higher secondary, including biology, a subject that comes with plenty of diagrams, complex scientific names, and detailed definitions. Now, after doing the IP, she started developing a photographic memory. She could visualise the questions before exams, she says.

For a young athlete trying to balance sport and studies, this changed the game for her in academics. Slowly, she began scoring better and got admission into a reputed institution in Bengaluru to study Sports Science.

But perhaps the greatest change had nothing to do with laurels in sports and academics. The greatest change was a shift in her perspective towards facing failure. The IP did not just return her confidence to win, but it made her self-assured, which went beyond the results of the games.

Raj Kundra Responds To Viral Clip Of Shilpa Shetty

Raj Kundra finally addressed the buzz and clarified the context behind the remark. He explained that the comment was part of their usual light-hearted interaction and should not be taken seriously.

He said, “Shilpa aise hi mazak karti hai”.

Raj further added that both of them often joke with each other in everyday situations. According to him, such exchanges are normal in their relationship, and this clip was just one such moment that got recorded and circulated widely.

Raj Kundra opened up about his personal journey and changing beliefs. The businessman-turned-actor shared that he once identified as a “borderline atheist” and did not follow religious practices.

He explained that his outlook began to change after his experience with the film and its cultural elements. Wearing a turban for his role had a deep emotional impact on him and made him reflect on his beliefs. Over time, he started connecting with the principles of Sikhi and began embracing them as a way of life.

Raj’s transformation has also been noticed publicly, with Shilpa Shetty previously supporting his journey. She even joked in an interaction that she feels like she is “having an affair with a Sardar.”

About The Film Mehar

Raj Kundra’s Punjabi debut film Mehar was released on September 5, 2025. Directed by Rakesh Mehta, the film is an emotional drama based on family values, resilience, and faith. Raj plays the role of Karamjeet Singh, a Sikh man struggling to rebuild his life in a Punjab village.

The film also stars Geeta Basra in a key role and focuses on a father’s emotional journey to regain dignity and stability. While the film received appreciation for its intent and Raj’s sincere performance, its box office run remained modest. Reports suggest it collected around Rs 88 lakh in its first 12 days.

Despite the performance, Raj Kundra pledged to donate part of the film’s earnings to victims of the 2025 Punjab floods, linking the project to a social cause.

Rajasthan News: The Government of Rajasthan under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved an increase of 2 percent in dearness relief (DR) and dearness allowance (DA) with effect from January 1, 2026.

The decision is likely to benefit approximately 13 lakh pensioners and employees across the state of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan News-What’s Special?

The Seventh Pay Commission framework’s revision has put DR and DA increase to 60 from 58 percent. The DA and DR hike would apply to around 5.4 lakh pensioners and more than 7 lakh officials of the state government. This includes employees working in local bodies like zila parishads and panchayat samitis.

When Will It Reach Bank Accounts?

The revised allowance would start reflecting in salaries for the month of May 2026. This means that salaries coming in the month of June 2026 would include the increased DA and DR hikes.

The state government announced that arrears for the duration between the months of January to April 2026 would be handled differently.

Pensioners would receive the revised amount in cash to improve immediate liquidity. On the other hand, state government employees would receive their amounts in their respective general provident fund accounts to strengthen long-term savings. The Rajasthan state’s exchequer would bear an additional burden of more than Rs. 1,100 crore because of the DA and DR increase.

The state government’s decision follows a similar step recently taken and announced by the Union Government. The Union Government raised dearness allowance for pensioners and central government employees.

Dearness Allowance is used by union and state governments to offset inflation while protect the purchasing power of pensioners and government employees. The increase translates to a rise in monthly income for pensioners and serving employees. Since long, employee trade unions and welfare bodies have been asking for an increase in the value of DA and DR.

Ashok Lahiri: Bengal MLA To NITI Aayog Vice Chairman! BJP’s Secret Win or TMC’s Open Loss?

Ashok Lahiri: Former chief economic adviser Ashok Lahiri is all set to become the new vice-chairman of Niti Aayog, replacing Suman Bery. The selection of Lahiri is seen by many in political circles as a win for Bharatiya Janata Party and a loss for Trinamool Congress.

Who Is Ashok Lahiri?

A BJP MLA from Balurghat, Lahiri is not contesting the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections. The former JNU Professor has a rich career that spans academia, policymaking and financial institutions. Lahiri brings a rare blend of administrative experience and intellectual brilliance.

Ashok Lahiri served as the Chief Economic Adviser of India between 2002 and 2007 under both Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh, a rare and bipartisan credential in today’s polarized environment. Lahiri was also a member of the 15th Finance Commission       and held eminent positions at institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy.

Entry Into Politics

Lahiri entered active politics in 2021 as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state of West Bengal and went on to win the prestigious Balurghat seat.

The appointment of Lahiri as NITI Aayog Vice Chairman is seen as a dual signal of competence and regional representation. It reinforces BJP’s narrative that it can elevate leaders from Bengal to positions of national importance, something it has often accused the TMC of failing to achieve.

The presence of Lahiri at NITI Aayog could influence policy direction while also lending the BJP government an image of economic seriousness. Elevating a Bengali leader to a high-profile national post could resonate with voters who seek greater representation in Delhi. Moreover, the appointment of Lahiri subtly repositions the BJP as a party that values expertise over mere political loyalty. Lahiri’s career predates his association with the BJP, making his appointment appear merit-driven rather than purely partisan.
