Iran US War: According to media reports, United States President Donald Trump has been a recipient of intelligence briefings that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime is at its weakest since the Iranian Revolution of 1979 when Pahlavi loyalists were defeated in armed combat.

However, Trump is facing his share of problems as more and more Islamic countries and organizations are now coming in open support of Iran and its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Meanwhile, Iran has been spurred by calls from Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince, to launch nationwide protests against the ruling Iranian regime.

Islamic NATO In Line?

Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem has issued a stern warning that any form of attack on Tehran would ignite the entire region. Qaseem vowed to forcefully confront threats by the United States and its allies to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Sheikh Issa Qassem, the most senior cleric of Bahrain, remarked that millions in the region are ready to sacrifice their lives for Khamenei. Sheikh added Muslims around the world would be supporting Tehran and his initiatives to promote brotherhood, peace and stability in the Middle East region.

Sheikh Ali al-Khatib, Vice chairman of the Lebanon’s Supreme Islamic Shia Council, remarked that any form of misadventure against the Islamic Republic of Iran would be treated as a war against Shias worldwide. Al-Khatib also said any attack against the Iranian regime would carry unpredictable and devastating consequences.

Thousands of people across Lebanon participated in large demonstrations to express their support for Iran, its regional role and its leadership, amid escalating pressure and threats against Tehran. The gatherings were attended by political leaders, religious figures and representatives of national movements and different political parties.

Why Are Stranger Things’ Duffer Brothers Treating A Wedding Like Countdown To Disaster? Check Details Of Their New Netflix Horror Show

Stranger Things Duffer BrothersBring New Netflix Horror Series Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen

The Duffer Brothers, who became household names with Stranger Things, are returning to Netflix with a very different kind of horror. There are no monsters or supernatural creatures this time. Instead, Matt and Ross Duffer are turning a wedding into something deeply unsettling. Their new miniseries, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, is already drawing attention for its eerie tone and unsettling premise.

Netflix has shared the FIRST look at the show and confirmed that it will premiere on March 26. Even the title sets an uneasy mood. The visuals make it clear that this is not a happy love story. From the start, the series feels like a slow and quiet countdown to disaster, with the creators offering no clear hints about what actually goes wrong.

The story centres on Rachel and Nicky, a couple preparing to get married. Camila Morrone, known for Daisy Jones and the Six, plays Rachel, while Adam DiMarco from Overcompensating stars as Nicky. Ahead of their wedding, the couple travels to meet Nicky’s wealthy family. What should be a warm family visit quickly turns uncomfortable and strange.

Nicky’s mother (Victoria Cunningham) is played by Jennifer Jason Leigh. She is surrounded by a group of unsettling relatives, portrayed by Ted Levine, Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney and Sawyer Fraser. Their behaviour feels polite on the surface, but something seems off. As the wedding day gets closer, the tension keeps building and the sense of dread becomes impossible to ignore.

Why Stranger Things Creators Are Keeping The Horror A Secret?

One of the most intriguing parts of the series is what it refuses to explain. The Duffer Brothers and the show’s creators have stayed silent about the meaning of the title and the exact nature of the danger. Viewers are left guessing whether the story involves a dark family secret, a cult, or something more psychological.

This choice feels intentional. After years of fast-paced, creature-driven horror in Stranger Things, the Duffers appear to be exploring a slower and more intimate kind of fear. A wedding, usually seen as a joyful milestone, becomes the perfect setting for tension and uncertainty. That contrast gives the series a fresh and disturbing edge.

What Else Are Duffer Brothers Doing At Netflix?

Although Stranger Things has ended, the Duffer Brothers are still closely tied to Netflix. They are expanding that universe with Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated series set between the second and third seasons of the original show. Familiar characters will return, along with new voices from Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.

The brothers are also producing The Boroughs, a science fiction series set in a retirement community. The show features a strong cast, including Bill Pullman, Geena Davis, Clarke Peters, Alfre Woodard and Alfred Molina.

Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen is written and showrun by Haley Z. Boston, known for Brand New Cherry Flavor, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities and Hunters. It is directed by Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann, both praised for their work in atmospheric horror.

Mumbai Metro DELETES Post Warning Varun Dhawan Of Inappropriate Act, No Fine Or Penalty Issued Despite Online Backlash

Mumbai Metro and Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan landed in the spotlight after a video of the actor inside a metro coach went viral and sparked safety concerns. The video showed Varun hanging from grab handles inside the coach, which quickly triggered criticism online. Soon after, Mumbai Metro authorities issued a public warning. However, the post has now been deleted, and Varun Dhawan’s team has clarified that no fine or penalty was imposed.

The controversy began when the clip started circulating on social media. Many users questioned whether such behaviour was appropriate inside public transport, especially from a public figure. As the debate grew louder, the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) stepped in and flagged the issue publicly.

After the backlash intensified, Varun Dhawan’s team released an official statement to clear the confusion. They confirmed that the issue had been resolved and that no action was taken against the actor.

Addressing the reports, the statement said, “We would like to address the recent reports regarding Varun Dhawan and the Mumbai Metro. We wish to clarify that no fine or penalty of any kind has been issued to Varun.”

The team also confirmed that the metro authority’s post was removed. The statement read, “The earlier post by the authorities has been taken down, and we appreciate their cooperation in clearing up this misunderstanding. Varun has the utmost respect for the city’s rules and the Metro department’s efforts. We are happy to confirm that there are no pending issues, and we thank the media for sharing this accurate update.”

Mumbai Metro Varun Dhawan Video: What Authorities Said

Before deleting the post, MMMOCL had clearly raised safety concerns over the video. The authority said the clip should have included a warning, similar to those seen in action films.

Sharing the post, they wrote, “This video should have come with a disclaimer like the ones in your action movies, @Varun_dvn- Do Not Try This On Maha Mumbai Metro.” The viral video showed Varun doing pull-ups using grab handles, while another passenger copied him as others looked on.

MMMOCL explained that grab handles inside metro coaches are meant only for support. Hanging from them can be dangerous and may damage public property. The authority said, “We get it, it is cool to hang out with friends inside our metros, but those grab handles are not for hanging.”

The metro operator also reminded commuters that causing nuisance or damage inside metro premises is punishable under the Metro Railways (Operations and Maintenance) Act, 2002. Depending on the seriousness, penalties can include fines or even imprisonment.

Ending the message on a lighter note, MMMOCL added, “So folks, hang out, but don’t hang in there. Travel responsibly on Maha Mumbai Metro.”

Despite the clarification, some social media users criticised the authorities for not taking stricter action. One user wrote on X, “Instead of hollow threats, @MMMOCL_Official, it would have been great if you had taken Action as per all the Acts that you have listed. It would have set a perfect example.”

Varun Dhawan’s Work Front

On the professional front, Varun Dhawan was recently seen in Border 2, which released in theatres on January 23. The film is inspired by true events from the 1971 India-Pakistan War and highlights how the Army, Navy and Air Force fought together as one force.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. The supporting cast includes Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana. He will now appear in father David Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde.

Arijit Singh: ‘Was Getting Bored Of His Voice…’ Redditors React After He Announces Retirement From Playback Singing

Reactions to Arijit Singh Retirement From Playback Singing

Arijit Singh has stunned music lovers after announcing his retirement from playback singing at the age of 38. The news has surprised fans because the singer is still at the top of his career. With many hit songs to his credit, Arijit’s voice has become a key part of modern Bollywood music. That is why his sudden decision has left many struggling to believe it.

The singer shared the announcement through a heartfelt post on Instagram at the start of the New Year. He thanked his listeners for their constant love and support over the years. Arijit also confirmed that he will no longer accept any new playback singing assignments.

In his post, he wrote, “Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much love all these years as listeners. Happy to announce that I am not going to be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey.”

Soon after, he posted another message on his private social media account, where he spoke about faith and personal growth. He shared, “GOD has been really kind to me. I am a fan of good music and, in the future, will be learning more and doing more on my own as a small little artist. Thanks again for all your support.”

As expected, the announcement spread quickly across social media. Fans, music lovers, and industry watchers began sharing their views. Reddit, in particular, saw long discussions around Arijit Singh’s decision and his impact on Bollywood music.

Arijit Singh Retirement Sparks Mixed Reactions On Reddit

While many fans expressed shock and sadness, some users admitted that he was overused and they had started hearing too much of Arijit’s voice in recent years. Haters dragged Salman Khan without any link to the superstar. Some also felt that this shock was at the same level as Virat Kohli‘s retirement from test cricket.

Read some online user comments on Reddit below:

“While I was honestly getting bored of his voice in almost every album, I’ve got to admit I absolutely loved the soundtrack he did for Pagglait. Highly recommend for you guys to check it out it’s really good. Very similar to early Rahman. I hope he continues composing music for movies from now on.”

“It’s not that I don’t like him, but him appearing on every album made me assume there was shortage of singers in Bollywood, but that was not the case. Every movie wanted to play safe and wanted Arjit.”

“He’s still singing, just not playback, and why should he when playback singers are not paid for singing in movies. Company like Zee Music or T-Series hold the copyrights of the songs and tell them they will earn thru their concerts.”

“One song for Bhai (Maatrubhumi), and he calls it quits. Even at 60, Bhai can’t stop ending people’s careers.”

“This is deadass a Kohli test retirement level of shock.”

What’s Next for Arijit Singh After Playback Singing

Singer-Composer Now Set To Direct His First Hindi Film

Despite retiring from playback singing, Arijit Singh is not stepping away from creativity. Reports suggest that he is moving towards filmmaking and production. He is said to be working on his Hindi directorial debut, a jungle adventure film co-produced with his wife, Koel Singh.

The film reportedly features Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s daughter, Shora, and Arijit’s own son in lead roles. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is also expected to make a special appearance. This is not entirely new territory for Arijit, as he earlier directed the Bengali musical film Sa in 2018.

Anurag Dhanda Praises Punjab Government Schemes, Calls Health Insurance Initiative a Model for Other States

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda has frequently been seen appreciating the policies and welfare initiatives of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. From the state’s flagship health insurance scheme to farmer compensation and youth-focused policies, Dhanda has repeatedly highlighted Punjab’s governance model as an example worth emulating across the country.

Known for his outspoken and articulate political style, Anurag Dhanda often presents the AAP’s position with clarity and conviction. His public praise for Punjab government initiatives has regularly drawn attention in political circles, sparking wider discussions on governance and welfare-oriented politics.

Anurag Dhanda: Strong Endorsement of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme

Recently, Anurag Dhanda lauded the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme, describing it as a transformational step in India’s healthcare landscape. He pointed out that Punjab is poised to become one of the first states to provide health cover of up to ₹10 lakh per family annually, without discriminatory conditions.

According to Dhanda, the scheme significantly reduces the financial burden of medical treatment on ordinary citizens and ensures equitable access to quality healthcare. He termed the initiative historic and projected it as a benchmark for other states to follow.

Praise for Farmer Relief and Youth-Centric Policies

Beyond healthcare, Anurag Dhanda has also commended the Punjab government’s response to farmer distress, particularly the compensation provided to farmers affected by floods. He described the relief measures as timely and humane, and even urged neighbouring states to adopt similar approaches for their farming communities.

Dhanda has also spoken positively about Punjab’s policies aimed at youth empowerment, education reforms, employment generation, and rising investment inflows. He has often highlighted these initiatives as signs of a governance model focused on long-term development and inclusive growth.

Outspoken Leadership Style Draws Attention

Whether supporting policy decisions or engaging in political debate, he does not hesitate to express his views. Punjab Govt stands firm in safeguarding state’s interests in water dispute: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

Punjab News

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday asserted that the Punjab Government stands firmly committed to safeguarding the State’s interests in the water dispute, while pursuing a mutually agreed resolution of the Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue during a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “We have no water to share with any other state, but as the elder brother of Haryana, we do not want to draw daggers with our neighbouring state and seek early resolution of this long-pending issue.”

The Punjab CM stated, “Punjab has no surplus water to share with any other state,” and categorically asserted, “Not even a single drop of Punjab’s rightful water can be allowed to be taken away.” He said that the SYL canal is an emotive issue for the State and added, “The State will face serious law and order problems if it is imposed,” while making it clear that “land for the SYL canal is not available in Punjab as of today.”

Reiterating Punjab’s approach, the Chief Minister said, “Punjab is the elder brother, and both states are here to find an amicable solution to this controversial issue,” adding that “both the Supreme Court and the Government of India want a mutually accepted solution, and it is a good thing that both states have joined hands to resolve the issue and end confrontation.”

Highlighting that Punjab is not depriving anyone of their rightful share, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Out of 34.34 Million Acre Feet (MAF) of water from the three rivers, Punjab was allocated only 14.22 MAF, which is 40 percent, while the remaining 60 percent was allocated to Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan, even though none of these rivers actually flow through these states.”

Expressing concern over Punjab’s water crisis, the Chief Minister said, “Due to reduction in surface water availability, excessive pressure is being put on groundwater resources,” adding that “115 out of 153 blocks in Punjab have been declared over-exploited.” He said that Punjab today has “the highest rate of groundwater extraction in the country.”

Invoking the spirit of Bhai Kanhaiya Ji, Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Punjab ignores its own water requirements and gives about 60 percent of its water to meet the needs of non-riparian states,” but added that “while Punjab shares its river waters, flood-related damages are borne solely by the State,” making it imperative that “the rights of Punjab are duly safeguarded.”

Quoting a Gurbani verse, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Pawan Guru, Paani Pitaah, Mata Dharat Mahat,” adding, “The Sikh Guru Sahiban have equated air with the teacher, water with the father and land with the mother, and the State government is following their teachings to protect these natural resources.”

The Chief Minister said, “For the first time in recent history, both state governments are holding serious deliberations to solve this matter,” adding that “there is no question of winning or losing, but the interests and emotions of Punjab and Punjabis cannot be ignored.”

He said that “water is the lifeline of both states,” and proposed that “regular meetings between officers of both states through a Joint Working Group are necessary.” Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed hope that “frequent meetings of the Joint Working Group will go a long way in finding an amicable solution and ushering in an era of progress and prosperity for both states.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal, Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Ravi Bhagat, Secretary Irrigation Krishan Kumar and others.

Budget 2026: India Inc Eyes Higher EV Charging Infra Outlay And Domestic Manufacturing Policy Tweaks On Minds, Would Their Demands Be Fulfilled?

Budget 2026

1 February 2026, and the auto industry has its set of expectations from the FM.

The automobile industry of India is calling for strengthened policy measures for increasing the production of domestic electric vehicles along with increased spending on public charging infrastructure.

Budget 2026-The Expectations Of Auto Giants

Automobile industry representatives are of the view that the Budget 2026 would prioritize scaling up EV charging networks.

A long-awaited GST reset, festive-season demand and year-end sales brought smiles on the faces of automobile manufacturers in 2025. In 2026, targeted measures to ease cost pressures, steady demand and restore segments across different segments of the automobile industry are much needed. Automobile manufacturers are worried about the popularity of entry-level cars and two-wheelers unlike premium passenger vehicles that have somehow continued to buy more and more buyers.

Industry experts view this gap that can easily be transformed into a long-term opportunity. However, this would the revival of mass-market demand. Balance in entry-level segments can be restored via ease of financing, minimized running expenses and lower upfront costs.

Rural Automobile Economy Expectations

The Union Government may extend the PM E-Drive scheme beyond March 2026 while introducing a series of interest subvention schemes for 3-wheeler and 2-wheeler buyers of the country to empower the rural population.

Market analysts believe that clear policy support must be provided by the union government through budgetary measures for strong hybrids. This could be done by the extension of concessional GST rates and rationalizing duties on semiconductors, batteries, CKD kits for small cars and transmission kits. This would be beneficial to assist OEMs in managing costs without undermining the concept of domestic manufacturing.

EV adoption across passenger vehicle and two-wheeler segments should be a priority for the union government. Many believe that a multi-pronged approach would be extremely helpful for boosting sectoral and consumer confidence.

Mira-Bhayandar Flyover: Creative Genius Or Architectural Mishap? How A 4-Lane Flyover Suddenly Turns Into 2-Lane? MMRDA Responds

Mira-Bhayandar Flyover

Mira-Bhayandar Flyover: A double-decker flyover extending from Sai Baba Nagar Metro Station near SK Stone Junction to Shivar Garden has become a laughing stock for social media users.

An initiative of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), the flyover has been ridiculed online by some users. The MMRDA has now issued a detailed fact-check and remarked that the assertion was “misleading“.

MMRDA Reaction on Mira-Bhayandar Flyover

The MMRDA commented that the assertion did not reflect the structure’s actual design intent. The authority remarked the transition from 4 lanes to 2 lanes is in no way a design flaw but entirely based on future network planning and available road width constraints.

The double-decker structure that was originally built as an integral part of Metro Line 9 connects Andheri West to Mira Bhayandar. The project, which was executed by J Kumar Infraprojects, integrates road traffic with an elevated metro corridor to simplify congestion at one the India financial capital’s busiest junctions in the region.

The authority also commented that two lanes were meant exclusively for Bhayandar East traffic while two lanes (at a future date) would connect Bhayandar West. Since the East arm appears first, the existing stretch of four lanes presently transitions into 2 lanes.

It also clarified that a 2+2 lane flyover integrated with the Metro would be provided up to Golden Nest Circle to manage heavy traffic volumes. It added a 1+1 lane flyover with dedicated up and down ramps would be additionally constructed along the median. The authority also remarked that a series of measures have been incorporated including but not limited to delineators, rumble strips, retro-reflective tags, directional boards, adequate signage and anti-crash barriers.

Chest Pain Warning: AIIMS Doctor Says Angiography May Miss Impending Heart Attack – Here’s The Test That Actually Detects It

Test That Detects Impending Heart Attack

If you’ve ever felt sudden chest pain or heaviness, your first thought might be to rush for an angiography. But AIIMS-trained doctor Priyanka Sehrawat warns that this common step may not always detect an impending heart attack. Understanding what your tests can (and cannot) reveal is crucial for protecting your heart.

Why Angiography Isn’t Enough For Detecting Heart Attack

Many people believe angiography is the ultimate test for heart problems. Priyanka Sehrawat explains, “It shows how much blood supply is reaching the heart, how the heart’s valves are functioning, and whether the valves have become enlarged. It can also reveal if there was a previous heart attack that caused a part of the heart to stop working properly.”

However, angiography has limits. It cannot predict an impending heart attack. That risk is detected through an ECG (electrocardiogram) and a TMT (treadmill test). While angiography focuses on the blood vessels and structure, an ECG tracks electrical changes in the heart and a TMT tests the heart under stress.

How ECG And Treadmill Test Detect Early Heart Trouble

So, what exactly causes a heart attack? Dr Sehrawat explains that it occurs due to a mismatch between supply and demand. She says, “Your heart muscle needs oxygen to work. When the oxygen supply reduces while demand increases, this imbalance triggers a heart attack.”

The ECG and treadmill test help detect this mismatch. During a treadmill test, your heart’s demand rises through exercise. The test checks whether the blood supply can keep up with the increased need. Any imbalance indicates potential risk, often before a full-blown heart attack occurs.

Most importantly, Dr Sehrawat emphasises, do not self-diagnose. “If you have chest-related symptoms, always consult a doctor. They will decide which tests are necessary based on your condition.”
