The most significant feature of this scheme is its visionary approach, which teaches children the principle of 80% nutrition and 20% taste amid changing dietary lifestyles. This scheme is not limited to schools; 1,100 Anganwadi centers across the state have also been included in this mission, helping to build a healthy Punjab from the very foundation.

MEA: The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has dismissed claims by the United States Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick that the proposed India-USA trade deal failed as PM Modi didn’t called Donald Trump.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the Ministry is presently monitoring the Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025 that seeks to impose 500 percent tariffs. The legislation also proposes secondary sanctions on countries that import Russian energy.

US Senator Lindsey Graham recently said President Trump has given his consent to the bipartisan sanctions bill. The bill would impose punitive sanctions and tariffs on countries like India, China and Brazil that continue purchasing Russian oil and gas.

What Did The MEA Remarked?

Jaiswal remarked that India is still close to a trade deal with the United States. He further remarked that the country is still very much interested in a mutually beneficial deal with the United States.

Jaiswal added that India does not respond to blatant lies or get bullied. Interestingly, Trump has time and again said that it was he who stopped the India and Pakistan nuclear war. However, this has been refuted each time by India. PM Modi had remarked many times that no third party was ever involved during Operation Sindoor. Modi also said that it was on persistent requests by Pakistan that the Operation was temporarily halted and it would be back if Pakistan does not mend its ways.

Jaiswal also added that India takes into account the global environment and conditions before deciding on its energy source selections. He further added that India would keep buying energy at affordable prices for its population of 1.4 billion people.

Any decision by Washington to enforce secondary sanctions on India would alienate the friendship between the two nations. In 2025, the ties between the two nations soured due to immigration restrictions, trade disputes and geopolitical tensions.

Gurugram News: Key Transit Hub Status For Sector 56! Is this Delhi NCR’s Gamechanging Moment?

Gurugram News: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has proposed that Sector 56 would be developed as a multi-modal transit hub. GMDA said it would revise the alignment of the proposed Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).

GMDA cited the convergence of multiple planned as well as existing rail corridors in the area.

On January 7, the proposal was discussed during a review meeting. The meeting happened between the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL), GMDA and the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).

What’s Special About This Gurugram News?

The plan was outlined by GMDA CEO PC Meena who highlighted Sector 56 as an important and strategic node. Meena said Sector 56 would be the central point where the planned Sector 5 metro line and the proposed Panchgaon metro line would converge.

A senior GMRL official remarked that the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority has made a suggestion to integrate the Gurugram–Faridabad RRTS corridor not with the earlier proposed alignment via Sector 54 but with the Rapid Metro at Sector 56.

The official added tha the RRTS network integration with the proposed Panchgaon metro and Sector 5 metro line. The official also commented that this would be beneficial for commuters locally and across the city.

It was also commented by officials that the GMDA has made planning recommendations for an RRTS station at Gwal Pahari village on the Faridabad route. It was added that the possible options include a new station near Gwal Pahari and underground stretches of metro lines. This would help in optimizing the use of land and minimize surface disruption.

GMRL proposed during the meeting that the RRTS line should preferably originate from Rajiv Chowk to maximize coverage and improve connectivity across Gurugram

The revised proposals would now be examined by the relevant agencies before final decisions on the alignment of RRTS networks are made.

Ali Khamenei: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has remarked in a televised interview that the Islamic Republic is not threatened by Donald Trump. Khamenei asked Trump to look into the matters of his own country instead of worrying for other countries.

Khamenei remarked that the Islamic Republic would not back down due to nationwide protests and Trump rhetoric. He remarked that the protests were a work of foreign powers.

In another development, the state media of Iran finally broke its silence and alleged “terrorist agents” of Israel and the United States sparked violence in the country.

What Did Ali Khamenei Said?

The Supreme Leader said that anyone who is working for outside forces and against Iran would be outrightly rejected by both the Islamic state and the people. The comments of Khamenei came after an internet blackout was reported in the country. Iran’s government have also cut off international phone calls so that no one can report any developments happening in the country.  These events coincided with a call by Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last Shah.

Holly Dagres, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, remarked that the ruling Iranian government does not want the world to see the protests. Dagres added it would also provide “cover for security forces to kill protesters.”

In a speech, Khamenei remarked that the Iranian protestors were ruining their own streets for making the President of another country happy,” referring to Donald Trump.

Earlier, Trump had threatened the Iranian government over protestor crackdown. He added that Iran would pay dearly if it does not stop atrocities against its citizens. Trump also claimed that Khamenei was “looking to go somewhere.” It is widely believed that Khamenei would run to Russia, a long-time ally, if the Iranian protests go more forceful.

The original cast is returning to reprise their popular roles. This reunion is one of the film’s biggest highlights. Fans will see their favourite characters exactly as they remember them. Ravi Kishan, Mukesh Tiwari and Nirahua have also joined the cast.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun On The Run will release in theatres on February 6, 2026. The film marks a major moment for the franchise, which first aired on &TV on March 2, 2015.

Inspired by the 1990s sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati, the show quickly built a loyal fan base. Even today, it continues to enjoy strong viewership. Episodes of the show are also available on ZEE5.

The franchise expanded further with the spin-off Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, which launched in 2019. The show focuses on the fan-favourite character Happu Singh. Earlier this year, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain completed 2,500 episodes. The cast and crew celebrated the milestone with a grand cake-cutting event on set.

Shilpa Shinde – Shubhangi Atre Controversy

While the film news brought cheer, it also reminded of the recent controversy. Shilpa Shinde made strong remarks during her return to Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0. She said there is “no comparison” between herself and Shubhangi Atre.

Shilpa called Shubhangi a “good actress” but added that “comedy is not everyone’s cup of tea”. She also described Shubhangi’s portrayal as that of a “copycat”. According to Shilpa, stepping into an iconic role is not easy. She claimed Shubhangi might have gained more popularity by creating an original character.

Shubhangi Atre later responded to her statement and said that “character is bigger than the artist” (Kirdar kalaakar se bada hota hai). She explained that she was not copying anyone. She was simply following the character as written, including speaking in Bhojpuri. Shubhangi added that she respects Shilpa’s work. She also said every actor brings their own personality to a role over time.

Rajasthan News: Chief Secretary V. Srinivas recently reviewed the progress of the PM-Kusum scheme and directed power distribution companies of the state to swiftly accelerate implementation. Srinivas added that this would help develop 3,000 MW of solar projects by March 2026. He also remarked that PM-Kusum scheme is vital for offering farmers of Rajasthan with accessible and affordable solar energy.

Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Ajitabh Sharma assured that all targets would be effectively and efficiently met through enhanced grassroots monitoring.

In another development, the Jodhpur DISCOM achieved a unique feat under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM).
