Diabetes Can Disguise Itself As Skin Changes – Doctor Deciphers 13 Rare But Critical Indicators

Diabetes Warning Signs by Skin

Your body often sends signals before a health problem becomes serious. But many people ignore these early signs because they seem small or unrelated. What if your skin is quietly warning you about something deeper? According to experts, certain skin changes could be early indicators of diabetes.

In a video shared on YouTube, Dr Khalid, a family doctor based in London, explains that the skin is the body’s largest organ and can reflect internal health issues. He highlights 13 skin-related signs that may be linked to diabetes, helping people understand what to watch out for before it gets worse.

He explains that these changes happen due to factors like high blood sugar, poor circulation and insulin resistance. While not every symptom confirms diabetes, noticing multiple signs together should not be ignored.

Diabetes Can Disguise Itself As Skin Changes

One of the most important takeaways from the video is that diabetes does not always show up with obvious symptoms at first. Instead, it can appear through subtle skin changes.

Some common signs include:

  • Dark patches on the neck or armpits (acanthosis nigricans), often linked to insulin resistance
  • Yellowish growths around the eyes (xanthelasma), which may signal high cholesterol or uncontrolled diabetes
  • Red or brown patches on the shins, known as diabetic dermopathy
  • Small waxy bumps on the skin (eruptive xanthomatosis), caused by high fat levels in the blood

Dr Khalid also mentions a rare condition called necrobiosis lipoidica, which starts as red patches and slowly grows into larger areas. Though uncommon, it is more frequently seen in people with diabetes.

From Itchy Skin To Blisters: Warning Signs You Shouldn’t Ignore

Some signs are easier to miss because they seem harmless. However, they can still be linked to underlying diabetes.

Watch out for:

  1. Persistent itchy skin due to dryness or poor blood flow
  2. Frequent fungal infections in skin folds like underarms or groin
  3. Repeated bacterial infections such as boils or cellulitis
  4. Slow-healing wounds or ulcers, especially on feet
  5. Sudden blisters on hands or feet without clear cause
  6. Skin tags, which may appear more often in people with insulin issues

Dr Khalid explains that high blood sugar can weaken the immune system and damage nerves. This makes it harder for the body to heal and fight infections, increasing the risk of skin problems.

Why Early Awareness Of Diabetes Matters

The key message is simple: your skin can reveal what your body is going through. These signs do not always mean diabetes, but they should not be ignored, especially if they appear together.

Early detection can make a big difference. If you notice unusual or recurring skin changes, it is important to consult a doctor and get tested. Being aware of these warning signs can help you take action before complications develop.

Fatty Liver Alert: Can Rice Consumption Deteriorate Liver Health From Within? Check Doctor’s Video

Overeating Rice Causes Fatty Liver

Rice is one of the most commonly eaten foods in many households. It is simple, filling, and easy to digest. But a growing concern among health experts is whether frequent rice consumption can silently affect liver health over time. This question has once again brought attention to the risk of fatty liver.

In a video shared on YouTube, Dr AS Soin, a liver transplant surgeon, explains how the body processes carbohydrates. His explanation has sparked discussion about diet and liver health, especially among people who consume rice daily.

Rice is a high-carbohydrate food, with nearly 88% of its calories coming from carbs. One cup of cooked rice contains around 45–53 grams of carbohydrates. White rice is a refined carbohydrate with a higher glycemic index, while brown rice is a whole grain that contains more fiber. However, both types still contain a similar total amount of carbohydrates, which makes portion control important for liver health.

Dr Soin explains in the video, “In the liver, when we eat carbohydrates, they are absorbed and their metabolism takes place in the liver. The excess carbohydrates get stored, while the rest enter the blood circulation. If carbohydrates are consumed in excess, they start getting stored as fat.”

This process is one of the reasons why excess carbohydrate intake is linked to fatty liver. When the liver continuously receives more carbs than the body needs, it starts storing the extra energy as fat. Over time, this can lead to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

How Excess Carbs Impact Liver Function

Experts explain that fatty liver develops gradually and often without clear symptoms in early stages. Diet plays a major role in its progression.

Key effects of excess carbohydrate intake include:

  • Increased fat storage in the liver
  • Higher risk of insulin resistance
  • Gradual inflammation of liver cells
  • Reduced metabolic efficiency

According to Harvard Health Publishing, “too much added sugar and refined carbohydrates can increase fat buildup in the liver and contribute to NAFLD” (Source: Harvard Health Publishing, Harvard Medical School).

Fatty Liver Alert: What You Should Know About Rice Intake

The concern is not about rice alone but about overall carbohydrate balance in the diet. Fatty liver risk increases when rice is consumed in large portions along with other refined carbs like sugary drinks or processed foods.

Brown rice may offer slightly better fiber content, but moderation is still key. Pairing rice with protein, vegetables and healthy fats can help reduce its impact on blood sugar and liver load.

Doctors suggest simple lifestyle changes to lower the risk of fatty liver, such as:

  1. Controlling portion sizes of rice
  2. Increasing physical activity
  3. Reducing sugar and refined food intake
  4. Including more fibre-rich foods in meals

Final Note on Fatty Liver Awareness

The discussion around fatty liver highlights how everyday eating habits can influence long-term health. Rice is not harmful on its own, but excessive intake without balance may contribute to liver fat accumulation.

Understanding how the body processes carbohydrates can help people make better food choices.

Haryana News: CM Teerth Yojana Deadline Extended! Full How-To Guide Revealed

Haryana News

Haryana News: The Haryana Government has announced that it has extended the last date for elderly above 60 years with an annual family income of less than Rs. 1.8 lakh from April 15 to April 30.

Haryana News-What’s Special?

Interested applicants can submit a request to visit the Hazur Sahib at Nanded in Maharashtra under the Haryana Government’s Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme.

A special train would be flagged by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The train from Kurukshetra on May 5 would carry devotees residing in Haryana from different districts.

How To Apply?

Eligible applicants need to register immediately at the Saral Haryana Portal using a smartphone or their nearest Common Service Centre till April 30. The yatra will be free of cost and selections would be done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anupama Anjali, Mahendragarh Deputy Commissioner, remarked that applicants must immediately submit their required details before May 1, 2026, at the District Information and Public Relations Officer’s office in the old mini-secretariat, Narnaul.

Interested applicants are required to submit valid photo identification such as a passport, voter ID card or Aadhaar card. They also need to submit a copy of the Parivar Pehchan Patra, a self-declaration for travel fitness and a declaration that they have not availed of the scheme in the last 3 years. Only residents of Haryana with a valid Parivar Pehchan Patra are eligible.

The extension of the Chief Minister’s pilgrimage scheme deadline under Mukhyamantri Teerth Yojana Haryana is particularly significant for poor elderly individuals, offering them not just a spiritual opportunity but also social and emotional support.

For many senior citizens above 60 years with limited annual family income (below Rs. 1.8 lakh), travel, especially long-distance religious journeys often remains out of reach due to financial constraints. This scheme removes that barrier by offering a completely free yatra to Hazur Sahib, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites.

Uttar Pradesh News: Divine Cities To Get Connected With Four-Lane Route! Will This Benefit Braj Region?

Uttar Pradesh News

Uttar Pradesh News: The divine cities of Mathura and Vrindavan that have long been eluded with proper transportation routes is now likely to get a four-lane route in one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Uttar Pradesh, carrying both logistical and cultural significance.

The project is estimated at a cost of Rs 400 crore and the plan has been submitted to the railways for approval. This signals a significant transition toward modernizing connectivity in the sacred Braj region.

Uttar Pradesh News-What’s Special?

Under the project, a four-lane road would be created to significantly reduce travel time between Mathura and Vrindavan, two divine cities that are deeply intertwined with India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. At present, the short physical distance between the two can often translate into long travel times due to congestion, especially during peak pilgrimage seasons. Devotees, tourists and locals frequently face traffic challenges that diminish the overall experience of visiting these revered destinations.

The project is likely to significantly improve the flow of pilgrims visiting temples and participating in religious events throughout the year. The plan goes beyond road construction as an elevated rail system is also proposed in the near future. A proposal for monorail system was proposed by Member of Parliament Hema Malini. The current initiative may revive it by integrating both road and rail infrastructure.

Involvement Of Yogi Adityanath

During a recent visit to Mathura, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed a series of development projects and instructed officials to fast-track the initiatives. The instructions included ensuring timely land acquisition, removing administrative hurdles and coordinating with the railways for future train operations on the elevated corridor.

The Braj region, known for the sacred Braj Chaurasi Kos Parikrama, attracts millions of pilgrims annually. Strengthening connectivity here could enhance not only accessibility but also the overall pilgrimage experience.

From an economic standpoint, the project could be a game-changer. Improved infrastructure often leads to increased tourism, which in turn boosts local businesses such as hotels, restaurants, transport services and handicrafts. For residents of Mathura and Vrindavan, this could translate into more job opportunities and better income prospects.

Cancer Management: Can Hidden Infection Turn Into Carcinoma? Top Neurologist Speaks Out!

Cancer Management

Cancer Management: For years, cancer has been perceived as a sudden and unpredictable diagnosis. However, the severe and debilitating health condition often develops silently over years in most cases, influenced by lifestyle factors, chronic inflammation and underlying infection. Today, many individuals are left asking – can a hidden infection actually evolve into cancer?

Unfortunately, the answer is a YES. Among the most studied example is H. Pylori or Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium that quietly infects the stomach lining of millions of people worldwide.

H. pylori-The Silent Nature of Hidden Infections

In this health condition, the bacterium colonizes the stomach lining, often acquired during childhood through contaminated food, water or close contact. For some individuals, it may remain asymptomatic. For others, it may cause mild symptoms like bloating, acidity, or occasional stomach discomfort, which are symptoms that are easy to ignore or self-treat.

Cancer Management-Can Infection Really Lead to Cancer?

In the case of H. pylori, the process is gradual but significant. The bacterium weakens the stomach’s protective mucosal layer, making it more susceptible to damage from gastric acids. Over time, it can progress to chronic gastritis, atrophic gastritis, Intestinal metaplasia, Dysplasia or Gastric carcinoma.

Who Is Most at Risk?

Some individuals may be at an increased risk of acquiring H. pylori:

  • Poor dietary habits (high salt, processed foods)
  • Weakened immune system
  • Smoking and alcohol consumption
  • Long-standing untreated infection
  • Genetic predisposition

Warning Signs of H. pylori

The warning signs or symptoms of H. pylori are:

  • Stomach pain, especially on an empty stomach
  • Nausea or loss of appetite
  • Persistent bloating
  • Unexplained weight loss
  • Frequent acidity or heartburn

By paying attention to subtle symptoms, prioritizing gut health and taking infections seriously, it is possible to reduce risk and protect long-term well-being. Moreover, you must undergo regular medical examinations every 6-12 months.

Belly Fat: Could Intermittent Fasting Defuse Stubborn Abdominal Fat? Gastroenterologist’s Shocking Take!

Belly Fat

Belly Fat: In recent years, the concept of intermittent fasting has grown exponentially among fitness enthusiasts. Interestingly, intermittent fasting could be an excellent choice to get rid of stubborn abdominal and visceral fat so that you stay in top shape. But does it actually work?

Why Belly Fat Is Difficult To Lose?

Belly Fat, especially visceral fat, behaves differently from subcutaneous fat found under the skin as it is hormonally active and more resistant to breakdown.

Causes Of Belly Fat

Belly Fat could be caused by:

  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Disrupted sleep cycles
  • Elevated cortisol levels because of chronic stress
  • Poor dietary habits, especially the intake of high sugar and refined carbs
  • Sedentary lifestyle

Intermittent Fasting: The Metabolic Differentiator

Intermittent fasting (IF) is when you eat, and not what you eat. It cycles between periods of eating and fasting, with popular methods including the 16:8 approach (16 hours of fasting, 8-hour eating window) and alternate-day fasting. This form of fasting helps in reducing insulin levels that allows the body to make a transition from glucose-burning to fat-burning mode.

Intermittent fasting also helps in increasing the production of growth hormone that supports muscle preservation and fat loss. Moreover, intermittent fasting could enhance a cellular clean-up mechanism that enhances metabolic efficiency.

How Intermittent Fasting Targets Belly Fat?

  • Fasting reduces insulin spikes, encouraging the body to tap into stored fat, particularly visceral fat.
  • It helps regulate hormones that influence hunger and fat storage, such as ghrelin and leptin.
  • By limiting eating windows, many people unintentionally consume fewer calories without strict dieting.
  • The body becomes more efficient at burning fat for energy during fasting periods.

That said, these benefits are gradual and require consistency.

Today, in recent years, law and order is considered to be one of the important criteria for a state’s development and investment opportunities. Regarding the topic, Anurag Dhanda appreciated the measures taken by the Mann government in terms of dealing effectively with gangsters and criminals. This makes Punjab an ideal place to do business and invest.

Taking Effective Steps Against Crime

According to Anurag Dhanda, the Mann government has been able to prove itself in managing gangsters and crime. With strict law enforcement and quick and timely action against criminals, Punjab has achieved good levels of security. With such measures, not only do citizens feel safe, but they also gain trust in the system. Being strict in dealing with criminals proves an effective strategy for sending a strong message to society.

Improved Law and Order in Punjab

Under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, Punjab has witnessed improvements in law and order. Better coordination between law enforcement agencies and proactive governance has helped maintain peace and stability. Anurag Dhanda pointed out that a stable law and order situation is the foundation for any state’s progress. Without safety and security, development cannot be sustained in the long run.

Punjab Emerging as an Investment Hub

One of the key highlights of Dhanda’s statement was the growing interest of businessmen and investors in Punjab. With improved safety and governance, the state is gradually becoming a preferred choice for investment.A secure environment encourages industries to set up operations, creates job opportunities, and boosts economic growth. Investors look for stability, and Punjab is now moving in that direction.

Bhagwant Mann Focuses on Women’s Equal Participation in Earnings, Introduces ‘Pehil’ Scheme to Drive Punjab’s Development

Bhagwant- Mann
Google

An economy cannot thrive without providing equality of opportunity, and this involves the participation of women in the process of development. Considering this, Bhagwant Mann has made an important move by introducing the ‘Pehil’ program in favor of the equal sharing of earnings among women.

Importance of Participation of Women

According to Bhagwant Mann, if Punjab is to achieve sustainable economic growth, it will require the contribution of women to its economic progress. Women in Punjab have the capacity and talent, yet they remain confined within the domestic sphere. Involvement in income-generating activities helps improve women’s quality of life while improving the lives of families and communities.

‘Pehil’ Scheme: A Step Towards Self-Reliance

The ‘Pehil’ scheme has been introduced to help women start their own work and become self-reliant. Under this initiative, women are supported with guidance, resources, and opportunities to begin small businesses or income-generating activities.

This scheme is designed to:

  • Encourage entrepreneurship among women
  • Provide financial and skill-based support
  • Help women become independent earners
  • Promote confidence and decision-making power

By focusing on practical support, the scheme ensures that women can take their first step towards economic independence.

Boosting Punjab’s Economy Through Inclusion

Bhagwant Mann’s approach highlights that economic growth is not just about industries and infrastructure but also about inclusion. When women actively participate in the workforce, the overall productivity of the state increases.

The ‘Pehil’ scheme is expected to:

  • Increase household incomes
  • Generate new employment opportunities
  • Strengthen rural and urban economies
  • Reduce economic dependency

This inclusive growth model can help Punjab move towards a more balanced and sustainable future.

A Noble Step Towards Social Change

Beyond economic benefits, the initiative also brings a positive social change. Empowering women leads to greater equality, confidence, and respect within society.Bhagwant Mann’s focus on women’s empowerment sends a strong message that development is meaningful only when everyone gets equal opportunities to grow.

CM Yogi Adityanath Strengthens MSME Ecosystem, Uttar Pradesh Emerges Leader in CGTMSE Credit Support

CM- Yogi- Adityanath
Google

CM Yogi Adityanath: Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a premier example of how strategic policy and decisive leadership can catalyse industrial transformation. Under the administration of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has transitioned into a powerhouse for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By prioritising an ecosystem that rewards entrepreneurship, the government has dismantled long-standing barriers to growth, particularly in financial accessibility and market reach.

Central to this renaissance is the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, which connects local crafts to global supply chains. When paired with aggressive credit initiatives like the CGTMSE, the state has simplified collateral-free loans, fostering a national blueprint for sustainable economic empowerment.

Credit Access Is Getting Better With CGTMSE

A big reason for this growth is the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). This is a government program that helps people borrow money without having to put up collateral.

CGTMSE helps banks give loans to tiny and small businesses without usually needing collateral. For new and small business owners, this has made it easier to get formal loans.

Lots of people in Uttar Pradesh

Reports say that the number of MSME loans backed by CGTMSE promises has gone up sharply in Uttar Pradesh. This growth is due to both official support and small business owners becoming more aware.

Government officials say that reforms at the state level and backing from the central government for credit guarantees have made it easier for banks in semi-urban and rural areas to lend money.

Support from policymakers for industrial growth

The state government says that changes that make it easier for small businesses to get things done, faster approvals, and sector-specific programs have made the business situation better overall. The ODOP has been very important in connecting local goods with customers across the country and around the world.

This unified strategy is seen as a change from the earlier restrictions on getting loans and the growth of industries before 2017.

More in-depth economic story

CM Yogi Adityanath: A bigger story that is being told is that Uttar Pradesh has become a better hub for small and medium-sized businesses, thanks to state policies and the national credit system.

MSMEs are very important for creating jobs and improving rural areas, as Yogi Adityanath has said many times.

With more loan support through programs like CGTMSE and a continued push for industry, the state is setting itself up to be a major force in India’s small business-led growth.

Hair Fall: Going Bald Before 35? Dietician Reveals Foods To Stop Hair Fall Nightmare

Hair Fall

Hair Fall: For millions of people in India, hair fall is one of the biggest concerns among young adults. What was once considered as a natural aspect of ageing is now affecting both men and women in their early and late 30s. No wonder, the fear of going bald before 35 is real and increasingly becoming common.

While stress, genetics, lifestyle and hormonal imbalances all play a role, diet is often the most overlooked puzzle piece. Interestingly, your hair is often one of the first areas to shown signs of distress when it lacks key nutrients. Now comes the good news – certain everyday foods could help you slow down hair fall, restore your hairline and improve overall hair health. Two of these powerful yet highly underrated options are curd and flaxseed.

Common Causes Of Hair Fall

The primary root causes of premature hair loss are:

  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Poor gut health
  • Nutritional deficiencies (especially vitamins, iron, protein and omega-3 fatty acids)
  • Excessive use of styling products and heat
  • Chronic stress and poor sleep
  • Alcohol, smoking and non-prescription drugs

Benefits Of Targeted Nutrition

Curd is a nutritional powerhouse that supports both digestion and hair health. Its high protein content could help to weak, brittle and falling hair. Moreover, curd could indirectly help in improving the availability of hair-supporting nutrients like iron, zinc, and B vitamins as it improves digestion.

Flaxseed is a powerhouse that is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, lignans, and fibre – all of which help in reducing hair fall and promoting regrowth. It could also create a healthier environment for hair to grow by reducing inflammation around hair follicles that could have weaken and disrupt the growth cycle.

To get started, you consume flaxseed by adding them to smoothie, mixing them into breakfast or sprinkling them over curd.

Big Relief for Farmers, Mohan Yadav Welcomes Centre’s Decision to Raise Wheat Procurement Limit in Madhya Pradesh

Mohan- Yadav
Google

Mohan Yadav: The centre raises its goal for how much wheat to buy. This decision will make farmers in Madhya Pradesh very happy. The Central Government is raising the limit on how much wheat can be bought from 78 lakh metric tonnes to 100 LMT for the 2026–27 season as a safety net during a year of high production.

Most people in the area agreed with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s support for the move. It was a “big relief” that meant more money for farmers.

Why this matters to farmers

This isn’t just a change in numbers for the average farmer; it means they can be sure of how much money they’ll make.

  • Better Prices: The Minimum Support Price (MSP) buys an extra 22 LMT, so farmers don’t have to sell their hard-earned crops to private buyers at lower market prices.
  • Protection from Unpredictability: This higher goal makes sure that prices don’t drop in the area when there is a lot of crop. This is important because global markets are unstable right now.

The state will do this in stages to help small farmers. This will give small and poor farmers extra help to make sure the benefits go to the people who need them the most.

A Strong Safety Net

This move not only makes money right away, but it also helps keep food grain stocks stable all over the country. The government will be able to better control the food supply and keep prices stable for everyone if they get more wheat now.

In a nutshell

CM Mohan Yadav and the Center are sending a strong message: the health of the rural economy is very important. This is a proactive step that honours the hard work of the farmers in MP and protects the state’s strong agricultural base.
