Humayun Kabir: A sharp attack has been launched by the West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) was submitted.

The BJP alleged that the 700-page report submitted to the Calcutta High Court exposes what could possibly be a massive Rs. 100 crore scam under the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC regime.

In a post on X, the BJP claimed that the CAG findings highlight “a state-sponsored heist.” It was also claimed that the findings allege that assistance was not provided to genuine flood victims.

BJP further said relief funds meant for victims were instead siphoned off by influential TMC party members.

What do the CAG Findings Reveal?

It was revealed that multiple flood relief payments were made to 6,965 people, which ranged from 2 to 42 transactions into the same banking accounts.

In a now viral video, ex-TMC member Humayun Kabir was seen alleging rampant corruption in the state of West Bengal. Kabir said Swasthya Sathi – the health insurance scheme of the state – has witness massive corruption. Kabir said private hospitals and nursing homes had a habit of inflating hospital bills 10 times and then routing them through the state’s health department.

Kabir also remarked that patients admitted to Murshidabad’s state-run hospitals were pathetic. The ex-TMC member said you can find three patients being accommodated on a hospital bed for one, and you can also see a fourth patient under the bed.

Gurugram News: A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) and digital engineering giant Nagarro and Plaksha University.

This MoU will be helpful to undertake a thorough study for rationalizing and optimizing bus network of the city.

What’s Special About The Gurugram News?

The existing routes of GMCBL buses, under the 15-month-long MoU extending until March 2027, will be seamlessly optimized. This will help in facilitating more commuters, planning for fleet expansion and formulating detailed assessments of last-mile connectivity.

Rajeev Nagpal, GMCBL depot manager in Sector 10, said 100 new electric buses will be added to the city bus fleet starting March in a phased manner. Presently, GMCBL operates a fleet of 150 buses across the NCR city.

The academic and technical aspects of the project will be led by Plaksha University, in collaboration with technology solutions provider Street Surge.

“Through a data-driven approach, the initial six months of the MoU will focus on data analysis, planning, and network design, followed by nine months to implement and monitor the proposed solutions,” GMCBL said in a statement.

GMCBL’s chief executive officer Vishwajeet Chaudhary said we intend to further strengthen and enhance the bus services in Gurugram while offering a more reliable, affordable and efficient public transport network.

Noida News: The Noida Authority is all set to introduce a fleet of more than 500 electric buses that will operate in Greater Noida, Noida and areas around the Yamuna Expressway.

SP Singh, the Chief Manager of Noida Authority’s New Township Cell, said that the fleet will be launched in a phase-wise manner in July-August 2026. Singh remarked the e-buses will operate on on-demand requirements.

In June last year, tenders were invited and Delbus Mobility Private Limited and Travel Time Mobility India Private Limited were chosen to operate the e-buses.

Singh added that 196 e-buses will operate on 9 Greater Noida routes, 52 on 2 routes in Yamuna Expressway area and 257 on 13 routes in Noida. He further added that the project is intended to make the availability of buses at intervals of 10 minutes, with a halt of twenty minutes between each trip.

Kanika’s fascination with aircraft started early. She once shared that she was just four years old when she saw a helicopter land. That moment stayed with her. She wanted to sit in the cockpit one day. When that dream was denied, she looked for another way in.

Her idea was bold but simple. She decided to buy private jets and rent them out. At the age of 21, she turned this idea into a business. In 2014, she founded JetSetGo.

The early days were tough. The aviation industry was male-dominated. Kanika was young. She was a woman. And she was trying something new. She later admitted that many people did not take her seriously. When she visited airports to inspect aircraft, assumptions followed.

Kanika said, “People would ask me, ‘Ma’am, are you in the cabin crew?’ I loved the colour red. I often wore red and carried red bags.”

Raising money was another struggle, as many doors were shut. Only one person believed in her vision at that time. Today, she sees that rejection as a turning point.

Kanika revealed that she built JetSetGo without major funding. “Till date, I have invested only Rs 5,600, and we operate India’s largest fleet of private jets.” That small start eventually led to a net worth of Rs 420 crore.

JetSetGo was launched in 2013 and has grown steadily since then. The company manages one of India’s largest private aviation fleets. It operates across major cities. Its headquarters is in Delhi, with bases in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

For Kanika, success is not a final stop, but a journey. She once spoke about the quiet pride she feels when she looks back. The Shark Tank India Season 5 judge said, “That satisfactory look when you wake up and look into the mirror thinking that I have done it.”

Kanika also believes responsibility keeps her grounded. “I have to keep up the faith of my team, investors and people, and give back to them and make them feel proud.” In her view, growth never ends. She feels “the goalpost can never be met” because it keeps moving.

Before starting JetSetGo, Kanika built strong experience. She worked as Director of Operations at Global Aviation Company from 2011 to 2013. She also served as Business Development Manager in India at Pacific Aerospace Resources and Technologies. Earlier, she held the role of Assistant Vice President at Indiabulls.

Her education reflects the same focus. She holds an MBA in Finance from Coventry University in England and a BA in Economics from Mumbai University. She also studied visual communication and design at BD Somani Institute of Art & Fashion Technology. Her schooling was completed at The Lawrence School, Lovedale and Daly College.

This was proved yet again when nine-year-old twins Samraat Singh and Vardaan Singh along with their parents (Anand Singh and Manmeet Singh) conquered Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of Africa at 5,895 meters.

What’s Special About This Mount Kilimanjaro Conquest?

On the eventful evening of 31 December 2025 at 4:45 pm, Samraat and Vardaan were guided by their parents to the Mount Kilimanjaro summit. This extraordinary feat positions the twin brothers among the youngest twins ever to conquer the mountain. The feat surpassed the record set by American twins Alex and Alan Loynd at age 10.

Interestingly, Samraat and Vardaan had already conquered the Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters) in June 2024, shattering long-carried assumptions of the world about childhood capabilities.

What Makes The Mount Kilimanjaro Conquest Special?

Mount Kilimanjaro stands tall at 5,895 meters that makes it the highest peak of Africa. It is also the world’s tallest free-standing mountain, towering even higher about the altitude of the Everest Base Camp at 5,364 metres.

Near the summit, oxygen levels drop down to a staggering 50 percent of what is available at sea level. To make things worse, temperatures can plunge to between −15 and −25 °C. These extremely harsh weather conditions have resulted in the death of more than 200 people by now due to rock falls, altitude sickness and other life-endangering hazards. No wonder, the overall summit success rate is only approximately 65 percent, meaning about 35 percent of those who consider themselves fit either require evacuation, fall ill or simply give up.

What Makes Mount Kilimanjaro Difficult Than Everest Base Camp?

Compared to Everest Base Camp’s 14‑day itinerary, Mount Kilimanjaro is considered tougher among mountaineers across the world due to an especially demanding summit push and fewer acclimatization days.

The Singh family’s relentless pursuit and preparations reflected this harsh reality. All four of them trained hard for 3-4 months, building on their earlier Everest Base Camp experience.

On their final preparation day, the team of parents and their twin sons jogged 31 kilometers on their society ramp. They also climbed 10 towers within 12 hours, pushing their physical limits to simulate long, torturous days on the mountain. The team of parents and their twin sons also practiced exposure to severe cold by lying in a bathtub filled with ice for 30–40 minutes to prepare their bodies for temperatures close to −20 °C.

The actual trek was organized as a private expedition with a support team of 14 members, including a chef, a helper, two guides and porters carrying food for 7 days, tents, chairs, bags, mattresses, utensils, sleeping bags, gas cylinders and more. Everyone hiked 10-14 kilometers every day, often with wet shoes and clothes in continuous rain and, on some nights, partially wet sleeping bags.

For the Singh family, this accomplishment went far beyond a peak. The achievement reinforced the belief that children are far more capable than society assumes. Above all, it reaffirms that endurance is a skill that can be practiced, taught, passed on and nurtured from one generation to the next.
