Das, who ran a pharmacy at Keurbhanga Bazar at Shariatpur district in Bangladesh, was attacked by miscreants on New Year Eve. The mob attacked him at 9 pm when Das was passing through Tiloi area. Ikkis Box Office Collection Day 2: The year 2026 opened with filmmaker Sriram Raghavan stepping into new territory. Known for his thrillers, the director tried his hand at the war genre with Ikkis. It is a biographical drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee.

Ikkis Box Office Collection Day 2

Ikkis began its box office journey on a steady note. On Day 1, the film collected Rs 7 crore, giving trade a sense of cautious optimism. However, the momentum did not hold on its second day. According to Sacnilk, the film witnessed a sharp dip in collections on Day 2. It earned Rs 3.5 crore, marking an almost 50% drop from its opening day. With this, the film’s total domestic net collection now stands at Rs 10.5 crore.

The drop was not entirely unexpected. Day 2 fell on a working day, which often affects footfalls. Still, the overall occupancy figures show that the turnout remained modest across most regions.

On Day 2, Ikkis recorded an overall occupancy of 14.72%. Morning shows opened slow at 5.75%. Numbers improved in the afternoon with 14.73% occupancy. The growth then flattened out, with evening shows at 18.06% and night shows touching 20.33%.

In terms of regions, Delhi-NCR led with the highest number of shows. The film played across 652 screens in the circuit and recorded an average occupancy of 17%. Mumbai followed with 424 shows and an occupancy of 14.25%. Overall, Ikkis had around 2,400 shows nationwide. This is much lower than Dhurandhar, which is still running with nearly 3,800 shows.

When compared to recent Hindi war films, Ikkis presents a mixed picture. It has performed better than 120 Bahadur, which collected just Rs 6.1 crore in its first two days. That figure was lower than Ikkis’ opening day alone. However, the film lags far behind Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force. Released in January last year, Sky Force collected over Rs 34.25 crore in its first two days.

Interestingly, Ikkis has still outperformed Sriram Raghavan’s previous films. His last release, Merry Christmas, earned Rs 5.9 crore in its first two days. Andhadhun had collected Rs 7.4 crore in the same period.

Despite positive reviews and decent word of mouth, the road ahead looks tough. Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar continues to dominate theatres even in its fourth week. The Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 8.75 crore on Day 29 and is inching closer to the Rs 750 crore domestic milestone. Adding to the pressure is James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, which has entered its third week and has already earned Rs 163.05 crore.

With two major blockbusters still pulling audiences, the coming weekend will be crucial for Ikkis. A strong jump could help stabilise its run.

Grok AI: The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has directed X, a social media platform, to urgently undertake a thorough procedural, technical and governance-level review of its Grok chatbot.

The decision was taken Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi raised an alarm in a letter to IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Priyanka said the Grok AI chatbot has been used inappropriately by users to alter or undress clothing in women’s photos.

What has IT Ministry told about Grok AI?

The IT Ministry directed Elon Musk’X to take urgent, corrective action on Grok chatbot, including the imposition of restrictions on content generation involving sexualization, sexually explicit, nudity or otherwise unlawful material.

The IT ministry has given an ultimate of 72 hours to X to submit a detailed action report, detailing the steps taken. This would include steps taken to prevent the dissemination or hosting of content that is deemed pornographic, indecent, obscene, pedophilic, vulgar or otherwise prohibited under law.

The order included a stringent warning that any failure to comply could jeopardize the “safe harbour” practices of X. The safe harbour practices of X owned by Elon Musk provide it legal liability immunity for user-generated content under the laws of India.

“It is reiterated that non-compliance with the above requirements shall be viewed seriously and may result in strict legal consequences against your platform, its responsible officers and the users on the platform who violate the law, without any further notice,” the order warned.

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 29: After four weeks of dominating the box office, Dhurandhar has finally seen a slowdown. Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller entered its fifth week with its first single-digit daily collection. Still, the film continues to rewrite records and outperform major blockbusters released in recent years.

On Day 29, the numbers dipped, but the bigger picture remains strong. Trade experts believe the drop is temporary, especially with the weekend boost expected to kick in again.

According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned Rs 8.75 crore on Friday. This marks the first time the film has fallen below the Rs 10 crore mark since release. Even so, the figure is impressive for a fifth Friday and signals solid audience interest. Its current total is Rs 747.75 cr nett (in 29 days).

The film recorded an overall theatre occupancy of 18 percent on January 2. Morning shows stood at 9.65 percent, while afternoon occupancy rose to 20.32 percent. Evening shows performed slightly better at 21.93 percent.

In key markets, the film held steady. NCR reported a 20 percent occupancy across 921 shows. Mumbai saw 18.33 percent occupancy across 633 shows. These numbers suggest that urban centres are still backing the film strongly.

More importantly, Dhurandhar has already crossed major lifetime milestones. It has beaten the worldwide collections of Pathaan (Rs 1,069.85 crore) and Jawan (Rs 1,163.62 crore). The film now ranks sixth among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

However, it is yet to surpass giants like KGF Chapter 2, RRR, Pushpa 2: The Rule, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal.

Earlier, Dhurandhar also created history by becoming the first Hindi film to cross Rs 100 crore in its fourth week. Its Week 4 collection stood at Rs 106.5 crore. In comparison, Pushpa 2 earned Rs 69.65 crore in Hindi, Chhaava collected Rs 55.95 crore across languages and Stree 2 managed Rs 36.1 crore.

About The Film

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar (2025) is a high-stakes spy thriller based on Operation Dhurandhar. The story is set against real geopolitical events such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Parliament attack.

Ranveer Singh plays Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a prisoner recruited by IB Chief Ajay Sanyal to infiltrate terror networks in Pakistan. Operating under the alias Hamza Ali Mazari, he enters Karachi’s underworld and rises within the Lyari gang.

R Madhavan stars as Ajay Sanyal, while Akshaye Khanna delivers a chilling turn as crime lord Rehman Dakait. Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi round out the ensemble cast.

Neuralink: Elon Musk, the founder of Neuralink, has remarked that it is now possible to restore full body functionality in individuals diagnosed with physical disabilities.

Musk went on to add that high-volume of Neuralink devices will start soon. He added that they would move to an almost entirely automated and streamlined surgical procedure in 2026. Previously, Musk has claimed that more than 1,000 implants would be achievable by 2026.

What is Neuralink?

Neuralink represents a groundbreaking brain-computer interface (BCI) technology leap. It is capable of translating neural signals directly into actionable command that can help restore full body functionality for individuals with physical disabilities, bypassing damaged muscles or nerves.

It helps in decoding thoughts to control devices, limbs or prosthetics by implanting ultra-thin threads into the human brain. In short, Neuralink offers hope where traditional medicine falls short.

Restores Mobility and Independence

The implant helps in empowering paralyzed individuals so they can quickly and easily regain control over their bodies via thoughts alone. For those with severe spinal cord injuries, the device would read motor cortex signals before routing them to robotic limbs or exoskeletons, enabling grasping objects or walking.

This would help in restoring physical freedom while fostering social reintegration and emotional resilience while combating isolation at the same time.

Enhances Communication

For non-verbal people with health conditions such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or locked-in syndrome, the implant can be used for translating the activities of the brain into speech or text at near-neutral speeds. It will help users to “type” messages or exercise control over virtual keyboards by thinking.

Some possible use cases of Neuralink would include the treatment of neurological disorders such as epilepsy, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease or depression. It can also be used to dismantle communication barriers, help artists create digital works mentally, or assist stroke survivors dictate emails.

Indian fans watching Stranger Things 5 are not holding back. The final season of Netflix’s hit show has triggered strong reactions online. Memes, jokes, and sharp criticism are flooding social media.

This time, the buzz is not only about the ending. It is about one scene that instantly reminded viewers of Bollywood’s much-criticised film Adipurush. For many Indian fans, the similarity felt impossible to ignore.

As soon as the episodes dropped, comparisons started trending. Vecna’s scenes were linked to Om Raut’s 2023 mythological movie. The result was a mix of humour, trolling, and disappointment.

Stranger Things 5 Scene Sparks Adipurush Comparisons

The biggest talking point is a specific abduction scene in Stranger Things 5. In the sequence, Vecna captures Holly and walks away. She floats unconscious behind him.

Indian viewers quickly linked this moment to Adipurush. In Om Raut’s film, Saif Ali Khan’s Ravana abducts Kriti Sanon’s Sita in a very similar floating pose. The visual match became instant meme material.

One user sarcastically wrote, “Visionary Om Raut.”

Fans shared side-by-side clips online. Many added jokes and captions mocking the creative choice. For Indian audiences, Adipurush has become a pop culture symbol for poor visuals. That made the comparison spread even faster.

Why Fans Are Unhappy With Vecna’s New Look

The criticism goes beyond one scene. Many viewers are unhappy with Vecna’s overall design in the final season.

Earlier seasons relied more on practical effects. That gave Vecna a darker and scarier presence. In the new season, the character appears in a CGI-heavy form. His body now looks like twisted vines and tree bark.

Fans were not impressed. Several called the visuals “cheap” and “flat.” Others said Vecna now looks like a generic monster. Many directly compared the effects to Adipurush, which was widely trolled for weak VFX.

Some memes even compared Vecna’s textured skin to onion pakoras.

Fans also questioned how Vecna was handled as a villain. Many felt he was weaker this time. Some joked that even a typical Bollywood villain puts up a better fight.

Stranger Things 5 Finale: How It Ended

The finale is titled Chapter Eight: The Rightside Up. In the final battle, the Hawkins group defeats Vecna and destroys the Upside Down.

Eleven and Will attack Vecna inside his mind. Their friends fight the Mind Flayer in the real world. It is revealed that the Mind Flayer is an ancient force that controlled Henry Creel.

Joyce Byers delivers the final blow by beheading Vecna with an axe. A massive explosion destroys the interdimensional bridge. Eleven stays behind to seal it forever. Her friends believe she is gone.

The story jumps 18 months ahead to 1989. Hopper and Joyce get engaged. Jonathan heads to NYU. Nancy joins the Boston Herald.

The series ends with Holly Wheeler and her friends starting a new Dungeons & Dragons game. The final shot shows Eleven walking through a calm, distant place. Her fate is left open.

Pallavi Dharamshala Ragging Case: The heart-wrenching viral video of Pallavi, a second-year-student at a government college in Dharamshala, has sparked massive outrage in the country.

What’s the latest on the Pallavi Dharamshala Ragging Case?

Himachal Pradesh has registered a case against Ashok Kumar, a college professor, and three female students (Harshita, Aakriti and Komolika) on allegations of sexual misconduct, ragging and physical assault. As per Vikram Kumar, the father of the deceased girl, alleged that the three girls had physically assaulted and harassed his daughter while the professor subjected his daughter to inappropriate behaviour.

In her dying words, Pallavi said the professor used to do dirty things with her like groping and inappropriate touches on private parts. She also said she used to be beaten brutally by bottles.

Police have registered a case against the four accused under sections 75, 115 (2), 3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Educational Institutions (Prohibition of Ragging) Act, 2009.

The viral video of the girl’s dying words is not shared here as it is highly disturbing for everyone.

Pallavi’s Untimely Demise

The deceased’s father, who resides in Sidhbari near Dharamsala, said the significant mental distress was caused by the alleged incidents for his young daughter. He added that the incidents started affected her physical health. His daughter received medical treatments at the state’s different hospitals. Pallavi was transferred to Ludhiana’s Dayanand Medical College and Hospital where she passed away on December 26.

Eat Citric Fruits And Vegetables

You need to include fruits and vegetables that are citrate rich in your diet, such lemon, oranges, mausami, and kiwi. In addition, cut down on eating oxalate rich foods, such as spinach, beetroot, sweet potato, sweetened drinks, etc.

Hydrate Yourself

For this, drink at least 2.5 liter of water in a day. This will prevent the formation of kidney stones.
