Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday interacted with citizens from various districts during a public grievance redressal programme held at the premises of Gorakhnath Temple. The interaction took place as part of the state government’s ongoing outreach initiative aimed at directly addressing public concerns.

During the session, commonly known as Janata Darshan, the Chief Minister listened to complaints and requests related to civic issues, welfare benefits, and administrative matters. He instructed officials present to ensure prompt action and resolve the grievances within stipulated timelines.

According to officials, such public interaction programmes are regularly organised to strengthen communication between the administration and citizens and to monitor the implementation of government schemes at the ground level. Authorities said directions issued during the session would be followed up through departmental reviews.

The state government stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to governance with public participation and accountability. Officials added that feedback gathered during these interactions often helps identify gaps in service delivery and enables quicker policy response across Uttar Pradesh.

Observers note that the Chief Minister has frequently used these forums to review district-level administration and emphasise responsiveness among officials, particularly in matters involving welfare schemes and public services.

Officials said that several petitions received during the interaction related to issues such as land disputes, pension approvals, police matters, and access to government welfare schemes. The Chief Minister directed department representatives to coordinate with district administrations and submit status reports after taking necessary action, stressing that delays in resolving public complaints would not be tolerated.

Sources present at the event said that instructions were issued on the spot in some cases, with senior officers contacted directly to expedite urgent matters. The administration has also been asked to prioritise grievances concerning vulnerable groups, including senior citizens, women, and economically weaker families.

Authorities noted that the feedback gathered during such programmes is documented and forwarded to relevant departments for monitoring, ensuring that complaints are tracked until resolution. Officials added that periodic review meetings are conducted to assess compliance with the directions issued during these public hearings.

Mamata Banerjee: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced launch of the Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme 2026 from April 1. Applications under the scheme would open from February 15, 2026.

Mamata Banerjee Scheme Details

The Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme 2026 was announced in the interim budget of 2026 by the West Bengal government. The primary purpose of this scheme is to offer financial support to individuals in the age group of 21 to 40 years who have passed secondary school examinations. The applicants to the scheme must be a West Bengal resident to become a beneficiary of the financial assistance.

Under the scheme, individuals who are already availing advantages under other schemes of the West Bengal government (apart from the Medhasree, Swami Vivekananda merit-cum-scholarship, Sikhasree and Aikyasree) would not be eligible for this scheme. A financial support of Rs. 1500 would be provided to the eligible applicants.

How To Apply For The Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme?

The applications would be distributed and accepted at the assembly constituency camps of West Bengal from February 15 to 26. Sample application forms could be downloaded from the official website.

Interested applicants would have to submit photocopies of documents like class 10th certificate, ID proof, bank passbook, a passport size photo, among others.

Would This Impact TMC’s Election Prospects?

The move is seen by many in the political circles as an attempt to woo voters in the state of West Bengal ahead of the upcoming state elections.

In recent times, there have been many reports of misgovernance and crimes committed by TMC workers. The state has also seen a surge in crimes against women, a charge that has been vehemently denied by the state government.

In another development, the Indian National Congress has announced that it would singlehandedly contest the upcoming elections in the state. The party would complete in all of state’s 294 constituencies. Interestingly, Congress failed to win even a single seat in the previous state assembly elections.

Bhagwant Mann: Drug Smugglers Arrested in Punjab as Anti-Drug Drive Continues

Bhagwant Mann: The Punjab Police India on Thursday said it has intensified its statewide crackdown on narcotics under its ongoing anti-drug campaign, leading to the arrest of 76 alleged smugglers in coordinated raids across multiple locations.

According to officials, the operation was carried out with support from ANTF Punjab, during which police recovered approximately 3.9 kg of heroin, 526 intoxicant tablets and capsules, and ₹11,500 suspected to be drug proceeds. Authorities described the seizures as part of sustained enforcement efforts aimed at dismantling supply networks.

Anti-Drug Drive Continues

Police stated that alongside enforcement action, authorities are also focusing on rehabilitation. As part of the latest drive, 36 individuals were counselled and encouraged to undergo de-addiction treatment, reflecting what officials called a “balanced strategy” combining strict policing with social intervention.

The crackdown is part of the ongoing campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh,” under which statewide raids are conducted regularly. Police data shows that over the course of 349 days of the initiative, a total of 49,440 alleged drug traffickers have been arrested across Punjab.

The anti-drug push is a priority for the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, which has repeatedly pledged strict action against narcotics networks while expanding rehabilitation measures for users.

Officials said operations will continue in the coming days as law enforcement agencies step up surveillance and intelligence-based action to curb drug trafficking in the state.

Officials added that special teams have been deployed in sensitive districts and border-adjacent areas to monitor suspected trafficking routes and identify repeat offenders. Intelligence units are also analysing digital communication and financial trails to track larger supply chains and dismantle organised syndicates allegedly involved in cross-state narcotics movement.

Senior officers said coordination has been strengthened between district police units, anti-narcotics teams, and local administration to ensure faster response during raids and follow-up investigations. They noted that such multi-agency collaboration has helped authorities act on tip-offs more effectively and conduct simultaneous operations at multiple locations.

India US Trade Deal: Indian government data has revealed that the imports of Russian crude fell significantly by approximately 17 percent to $33.1 billion in April-December 2025 from $40 billion in April-December 2024. The data also disclosed that the country noticed an annualized jump of 65.6 percent in petroleum crude imports from the Donald Trump government.

USA had levied almost 50 percent tariffs on India for its continued approach to buy Russian crude oil. The Trump administration urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to stop buying from Russia and instead buy crude oil from it or Venezuela. Recently, the India US trade deal framework was finalized and the United States has decided to reduce tariffs on India to 18 percent on hopes that India would not buy crude oil from Russia.

The Reaction Of India

India has not confirmed that it would not buy Russian crude oil going forward. Interestingly, it has always repeated that the country would buy crude oil from any nation that offers it on competitive prices.

Out of the top five suppliers of petroleum crude for India – Iraq, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Russia, the United States and Saudi Arabia, annualized contractions were noticed only in the context of Russian imports. Russian imports dipped to $2.71 billion by 15.15 percent in the month of December 2025 in comparison to $3.2 billion in the month of December 2024.

Many believe that the fall in crude imports from Russia was primarily because USA imposed a punitive tariff of 25 percent on Indian products with an aim to deter the Asian superpower from buying sanctioned petroleum from Russia.

Previously, India purchased crude oil from Russia in large quantities after the Vladimir Putin government in Russia announced heavy discounts.

He was rumoured to replace Govinda in Bhagam Bhaag 2, but the part went to Manoj Bajpayee.

Now, self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan (KRK) claims Akshaye doesn’t have any projects at the moment.

In his recent tweet, KRK wrote, “Akshaye Khanna did leave #Drishyam3 for film Bhagam Bhaag 2 But Akshaye didn’t get that film. Manoj Bajpayee is in the film with Akshay Kumar! Director Raaj Shaandliya is directing the film. Narendra Hirawat is the producer! Means Akshaye Khanna doesn’t have any film right now.”

Reports say Akshaye left Drishyam 3 due to money and creative issues. After Dhurandhar and Chhaava, he asked for Rs 21 crore, which the producers thought was too high.

He also wanted to wear a wig for his character, but director Abhishek Pathak refused, citing continuity problems with the previous films. These issues caused Akshaye to quit just weeks before shooting. The producers even considered legal action for breach of contract.

Manoj Bajpayee Steps Into Bhagam Bhaag 2

With Govinda out, Manoj Bajpayee replaced him, joining Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Rawal told Bollywood Hungama, “It’ll make for a different and unique combination.” On Govinda’s leaving, he added, “I have no idea.”

The film will also star Meenakshi Chaudhary, known for Guntur Kaaram and The Greatest of All Time, marking her return to Hindi films after Upstarts (2019). Raaj Shaandilya will direct, taking over from Priyadarshan, who helmed the original.

Netflix’s Kohrra Season 2 has arrived, and it is being praised for its gripping storytelling and strong performances. Starring Mona Singh and Barun Sobti, the 6-episode season explores the dark underbelly of Punjab, combining crime, human drama and social commentary.

The season opens with a shocking murder that sets a tense tone. NRI influencer Preet Bajwa is found dead in the barn of her family home in Dalerpura. What seems like a simple crime soon spirals into a web of secrets, lies and family tensions.

Kohrra Season 2 Climax Twist Revealed

Barun Sobti returns as Amarpal Garundi, now quieter and more reflective, carrying guilt from past mistakes. Mona Singh’s Inspector Dhanwant Kaur leads the investigation with calm authority. Their on-screen dynamic drives the story forward as they try to uncover the truth behind Preet’s death.

Suspicion initially falls on Preet’s closest contacts (her estranged husband Tarsem, brother Baljinder and alleged lover Johnny). With property disputes, family ego clashes and financial tensions, the case seems like a classic crime of passion. But as Garundi and Dhanwant dig deeper, the investigation exposes a larger system of exploitation.

Preet had reportedly uncovered forced labour practices linked to the powerful Atwal family. Even Jaideep Ahlawat makes a cameo to increase the suspense.

In the finale, the actual killer is revealed to be Rakesh, a former migrant labourer traumatised by years of bonded work. His confrontation with Preet causes her accidental death, showing the tragedy stemmed from human suffering rather than malice. The series ends on a sombre note, emphasising that systemic injustice persists even when individual cases are resolved. The “kohrra” (or fog) symbolises societal silence and denial.

Season 3 Speculations

Season 2 has been praised for its mature storytelling and complex character arcs, making it more sophisticated than the first season. The show prioritises social issues over cheap thrills, resulting in an unsettling but thought-provoking conclusion.

Fans are already speculating about Kohrra Season 3. Will Dhanwant Kaur and Garundi face new challenges? Can the show maintain its balance of crime, family drama and social critique? Netflix has not confirmed the next season yet, but anticipation is building for the series’ return.

The spinner added that stepping away and not playing any shot could rattle the mind of Tariq. This could force him to make a quick change to his rhythm in one of the biggest games in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup.

Usman has taken 11 wickets at an average of 7.90 in 4 T20 matches. His bowling action has come under the scanner of many as he bowls with a sidearm action and delivers the ball after taking a brief pause. Many believe that Tariq throws or chucks the ball, which is not legal in cricket.

Cricket experts believe that batters should play Usman’s deliveries with clean contact as well as strike rotation. Inside-out over extra cover shots are recommended if Usman overpitches. Sambhal Viral Video: Mahashivratri, an important Hindu festival, would be celebrated on February 15. On this occasion, many members of the Hindu community bring water from the Ganga River from Haridwar to participate in the Jalabhishek ceremony.

Tamanna Malik, a Muslim girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, was recently seen carrying an earthen Kanwar (Kanwar Yatra) to her village from Haridwar. Wearing a burqa, the girl was greeted with a shower of flowers by the devotees of Lord Shiva everywhere she went.

Who Is Tamanna Malik?

A resident of Sambhal’s Badanpur Bassi village, Tamanna had visited Haridwar with Aman Tyagi, a fellow villager, and would perform the Jalabhishek ceremony at her native village on the pious occasion of Shivratri.

In a now viral video, Tamanna can be seen reaching Amroha on foot. She received a grand welcome on February 13 in Sadat. She was welcomed by a huge crowd of Shiva devotees with garlands and flowers. In the video, Tamanna could be seen putting Tilak on her forehead as a mark of respect for the Hindu culture.

On social media platforms such as X and Instagram, Hindu community members described the Kanwar Yatra of Tamanna Malik as a great symbol of goodwill. Many others remarked that this is nothing but a publicity stunt to get into the limelight.

Three years back, Tamanna married Aman Tyagi and has two children, Aryan and Yaksh. It was explained that a group of about 5 devotees accompanied them initially but now hundreds of enthusiastic devotees are now walking with them.
