Be informative on National cancer awareness day

National Cancer Awareness Day is observed every year on 7 November in India to spread awareness about cancer symptoms and treatment. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cancer is the second-deadliest disease globally, leading to death. In 2018, there were around 18 million cases globally, of which 1.5 million were in India alone. In 2018, there were approximately 0.8 million cancer deaths in India, out of a total of 9.5 million deaths globally.

This day was first observed in 2014 after the announcement by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister. The day marks the birth anniversary of the scientist Marie Skłodowska Curie, winner of the 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics.

Experts believe that cancer is not incurable, just need to know it at the right time and the right treatment. It may be an incurable disease for a common man, but its expensive treatment makes it feasible for rich people. It is very bad for the society that even diseases like cancer see the difference between rich and poor.

According to the report, similar symptoms can be seen in both men and women when they get cancer. A person dies of hunger in depression or flu. Cancer can do this by affecting your metabolism. In the stomach, pancreas, large intestine or ovarian cancer, stomach pressure is felt, due to which you do not feel hungry.

Experts say if you want to avoid cancer, do not ignore its symptoms. If you see any change in the body, then seek medical advice.

IPL 2020: Virat Kohli blamed RCB batsmen for defeat in Eliminator

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has blamed his batsmen for the 6-wicket defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator. He said that he failed to put pressure on the bowlers and score enough. RCB scored 131 for 7 wickets on being invited to bat first. AB de Villiers scored 56 runs from his side.

Sunrisers reached the target in 19.4 overs with an unbeaten 50-run knock from Kane Williamson. Kohli said after the match, “If you talk about the first innings, I don’t think we scored enough.” We lost by a small margin and if we had dismissed Kane (Williamson) then the result would have been different. Overall, we let their bowlers bowl freely and did not keep them under pressure.

He said, “The last four matches were very strange for us. We played shots directly into the hands of fielders. Some of our players performed well and it was a good season. Devdutt (Padikkal) and (Mohammad) Siraj are among those players. Yuzi (Yuzvendra Chahal) and AB (de Villiers) have always done well.”

Women T20 Challenge: Supernovas crushed Velocity by 5 wickets

After the brilliant bowling from left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht (3 wickets for 22 runs), South Africa’s Sunne Luce scored an unbeaten 37 from 21 balls to help defending champions Supernovas to win by 5 wickets against the velocity in the first match of the Women’s T20 Cricket Challenge.

Batting first, Supernovas could only score 126 for 6 wickets. In response, Velocity scored 129 runs for 5 wickets with one ball remaining. Luce played an unbeaten 37-run knock in 21 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six.

Earlier, Velocity had a poor start and their three batsmen were dismissed for 38 runs in the 9th over. Shefali Verma returned with 17 and captain Mithali Raj scored 7. After this, Veda Krishnamurthy and Sushma Verma handled the innings.

Veda scored 29 from 28 balls and Sushma scored 33 from 34 balls. After Veda was dismissed in the 13th over, Luce added 51 runs for the 5th wicket with Sushma.

Steve Waugh warned Australia not to get in ‘Word War’ with Captain Kohli in Border-Gavaskar series

India tour of australia, Border GAVASKAR TROPHY,

Former Australia captain Steve Waugh has advised his team not to get into a ‘word-war’ during the upcoming four-Test series against India. He says that this will give Kohli and his team the ‘extra motivation’ to perform well.

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will begin from a day-night match at Adelaide Oval on 17 December. After this, matches will be played in Melbourne (from 26 December), Sydney (from 7 January) and Brisbane (from 15 January). The tour will begin from November 27 through a series of three ODIs.

Waugh echoed similar sentiments while conversing with ESPNcricinfo, “Sledging is not going to worry Virat Kohli, it doesn’t work against the great players and you’re better off leaving those guys alone. I think any extra motivation will make them dig in more and get more runs. So, you’re better off not saying much to him “.

“He wants India to prove himself away from home to justify the number one ranking. He has taken them to a level that maybe they didn’t get to before,” he added

IPL 2020: Another year, another disappointment for RCB

IPL, IPL 2020, RCB, SRH,
IPL, IPL 2020, RCB, SRH,

Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their eliminator match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets and two balls to spare. Virat and company batted in the first innings and only managed to score 132 runs.

While chasing the target SRH crumbled in front of RCB bowlers at first instance but and the match went pretty closer. But later Warner and his company got their upper hand in the match and seized the game for Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will play against the Delhi Capitals in the Qualifier 2 and the winner of that match will directly head to he finals.

Royals captain Virat Kohli went emotional after loosing the match. RCB have never won the cup even then they have tremendous fan support which many dreams still dreams.

Virat at post-match presentation

“If you talk about the first innings I don’t think we had enough runs on the board. We made one helluva game in the second half, the positions we got ourselves into in the second half.. It is a game of margins and if Kane was taken there then it is a different ball game. Altogether they put us under a lot of pressure in the first innings. Few soft dismissals, few fortunate ones for them as well and we just didn’t have enough runs on the board. Maybe a bit of nerves, maybe a bit of hesitation, we need to be more expressive with the bat. We didn’t have any phases in the game where we got away from the opposition. We just allowed bowlers to bowl to the areas they wanted to and didn’t put enough pressure on them. In the last 2-3 games we have hit it straight to the fielders, lot of good shots going to the fielders. It has been a strange kind of phase in the last 4-5 games. Couple of people have stood and had a good season, Devdutt is one of them and Siraj has had a good comeback. Yuzi has been solid as ever, AB has been solid as ever. Couple of positives for RCB and Devdutt is one of them, he stepped up nicely and getting 400+ runs is not easy. He has played with a lot of class and efficiency for the team. Very happy for him. The others contributed but just not enough. That also tells you the strength of the teams in the IPL, no team is run away favourites as such and every team has strong players, one of the other reasons is playing in only three venues and there’s no home and away advantage. Similar conditions for everyone and that’s the reason this has been one of the competitive IPL this year. It was amazing to have had this opportunity to come out and play. There’s a bigger picture going around here and we are all contributing to that. To all our fans who have supported us like every year, we just want to thank them.”
