Did Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya break up? This question is doing rounds on social media after fresh reports claimed the couple may have ended their relationship. The rumours surfaced just days after Tara’s viral on-stage moment with AP Dhillon at his Mumbai concert grabbed headlines and divided the internet.

According to a report by Filmfare, Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya have “QUIETLY ENDED” their relationship. There is no official confirmation yet. Still, the timing of the report has surprised many fans. Online users were quick to link the alleged split to the recent concert controversy.

The buzz started after Tara joined AP Dhillon on stage during one of his Mumbai shows. A short clip from the performance showed the singer hugging Tara and giving her a peck on the cheek. Some viewers felt Tara looked hesitant. Others said it was just a friendly stage moment.

What added fuel to the fire was Veer Pahariya’s presence in the audience. Cameras briefly caught him watching the performance. Social media users zoomed in on his expressions. Many felt he looked “uncomfortable” and “awkward”.

Within hours, the clip went viral. It spread across Instagram, X and Reddit. Fans analysed every frame. Soon after, breakup rumours began circulating. Many people connected the viral moment with the reported split. However, both Tara and Veer have stayed silent on these latest claims.

Tara Sutaria And Veer Pahariya’s Breakup Rumour Sparks Online Debate

The internet reacted fast and loud. Netizens shared mixed opinions. Some people expressed shock, others dismissed the rumours as fake or staged.

Read some online user comments below:

“Inlog ka 3 mahine ka contract hota h kya …it’s so normal for them.”

“Tara Sutaria should focus on her career. Being in a relationship with a new guy every month is not good for her image.”

“Publicity stunt bs aur kuch nahi.”

“No idea how Veer even scored Tara, but I just know this is a lie to stay in the limelight.”

“Looks like a publicity stunt.”

“Ap Dhillon concert did it all.”

Couple Earlier Slammed ‘False Narratives’ After AP Dhillon Concert

This is not the first time Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya faced breakup rumours. When the concert clip first went viral, both of them strongly reacted to what they called misleading narratives.

Tara took to Instagram and shared a video from the concert. She openly criticised online trolling and edited clips. She wrote, “Loud and proud and in it together!!! @apdhillon FAV!!! What a night! Thank you, Mumbai for SO much love for our song and here’s to more music and memories together. P.S. – False narratives, clever editing and paid PR campaigns by folks won’t and don’t shake us up! In the end, love and the truth always win. So the joke’s on the bullies.”

Veer Pahariya also responded in the comments. He claimed his reaction video was misused. He wrote, “Not to mention the reaction footage of me was taken during another song, not even Thodi Si Daru. Jokers.”

About Tara Sutaria And Veer Pahariya’s Relationship

Tara Sutaria and Veer Pahariya reportedly began dating in 2025. Dating rumours started after they were spotted together on private outings. In March, they walked as showstoppers at a fashion event. This further fuelled speculation. Later, they went public during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

In an earlier interview with Travel + Leisure India, Veer spoke about their bond. He said, “I love that we have embraced our affection and love since our first date and have never shied away from expressing how we feel wherever we are.” He also shared, “It was probably our first date night, where I played the piano, and she sang until the sun came out.”

Ek Villain Returns actress added, “Sticking by each other through thick and thin as if we have known each other our whole lives.”

Farhan Akhtar Birthday: DYK? 120 Bahadur Actor Is Scared Of Cockroaches – It’s So Extreme That He Once Did THIS Shocking Thing Out Of Fear

Farhan Akhtar, who turns 52 on January 9, 2026, is known for his cool and confident persona. But behind the actor-director image lies a surprising fear of cockroaches. This phobia (called katsaridaphobia) is so intense that it has led to some dramatic incidents in his life. Read on to know!

Farhan Akhtar Once Did THIS Shocking Thing Out Of Fear From Cockroaches

Well, this phobia is not just a mild dislike but a visceral reaction that has led to dramatic real-life incidents. Farhan has admitted in interviews that his fear is so extreme that he has jumped out of moving cars when a cockroach has accidentally flown inside the vehicle.

The root of this intense fear reportedly traces back to a traumatic childhood experience. He once recounted an incident where he was sitting and realised only too late that he was surrounded by cockroaches. This singular event left such a lasting psychological mark that he cannot stand to have one anywhere near him to this day.

Interestingly, this real-life fear was famously incorporated into the script of his film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011). While his character Imran is shown afraid of skydiving, the real-life fears were swapped for the movie. Farhan (a certified skydiver) swapped fears with co-star Hrithik Roshan, who is afraid of water.

Farhan’s fear is a rare glimpse of vulnerability for an actor known for intense physical roles. In 120 Bahadur, he transformed completely to play Major Shaitan Singh. Despite mastering skills like solving a Rubik’s Cube for Karthik Calling Karthik or learning to ride a motorcycle as an adult, the sight of a cockroach still unnerves him. He often jokes that this “UN-COOL” trait contrasts sharply with his public image as the director of the Don franchise.

Farhan’s Professional Front

On the work front, Farhan was last seen in 120 Bahadur, filmed in the challenging terrains of Ladakh. He is now searching for the male lead for his next directorial, Don 3.

Outside films, Farhan recently made headlines for a major business move. Universal Music India (UMI) acquired a 30% stake in Excel Entertainment, the studio he co-founded with Ritesh Sidhwani. The deal (announced on January 5, 2026) values Excel at around Rs 2,400 crore (approximately $266 million).

Even with his fearless on-screen image, Farhan’s cockroach phobia shows a relatable and human side. Fans are charmed by this quirky fear, proving that even a war hero on screen can have simple, funny vulnerabilities off-screen.

Arvind Kejriwal & CM Bhagwant Singh Mann meet Punjab’s traders & shopkeepers, assure them they will not have to run from office to office as AAP Govt will reach them to resolve their issues

Punjab News

During the maiden meeting of the Punjab State Traders Commission held in SAS Nagar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann marked the commission as a decisive step to end years of neglect and bureaucratic harassment faced by traders. The AAP Chief said shopkeepers would no longer be forced to run from office to office, as the AAP government has taken governance directly to markets.

Declaring the initiative as the beginning of a new era of business reform in Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal said the commission would simplify the tax system, end an era of tax terrorism, and remove needless procedural hurdles. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, echoing the sentiment, underlined that shopkeepers were the true patriots who drive the economy and expressed confidence that the commission would decisively safeguard the welfare and dignity of traders across the state.

Addressing the gathering, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Today, a new beginning is taking place for small shopkeepers, traders and markets, towards whom no one ever paid attention until now. All those who have been made members of these commissions at different levels and have been given this responsibility, I congratulate all wholeheartedly. Our government has completed four years, and a very beautiful scene caught my attention just now. All of you sitting in this hall are not our party workers. You are independent people. Some of you are presidents of market associations, some represent sector wise trade associations like textiles and tiles, and you come from different backgrounds. You are all independent individuals.”

Reflecting on public sentiment after four years of governance, he continued, “It is often said that after four years, strong anti incumbency sets in and people become angry for one reason or another. Before us, there was the Congress government, and before that, the Shiromani Akali Dal government. After four years, they would face such abuse that I do not think the Congress government would have had the courage to pass around a microphone in a public gathering and say, speak whatever you want. If the microphone had been passed around during the Congress government, they would have been showered with abuses. If it had happened during the Akali Dal government, the microphone would not have returned, so much abuse would have followed. I listened very carefully just now and heard people praising the work, that it has worked well over four years.”

Speaking about perceptions of traders, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Till now in our country, traders and businessmen have been viewed with a very negative mindset. No matter which governments came or which parties ruled, everyone treated traders as thieves. Every government thinks they are thieves and should be looted. The government extracts money through taxes. The entire Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime exists, and we cannot change it right now. I pray that one day our government is formed at the Centre and we free you from GST. There is a kind of tax terrorism going on. On one side, the government squeezes you through taxes, and on the other side, political parties squeeze you as well. They remember you only during elections, to extract money in the name of donations, and throughout the five years to take bribes. All governments consider traders to be thieves. But, we do not think like that.”

Sharing his personal connection, he added, “I come from a trading family. I understand the pain and suffering of a trader. You may remember how, as children, we used to go to the village during summer holidays. My uncle there, had a grocery shop at the bus stand. During summer vacations, many times I would manage the entire shop alone for days. I understand the pain of a shopkeeper. He works day and night, takes huge risks, earns very little, pays taxes to the government from that income, provides jobs to people, supports his family, and all charitable and social activities in the village or city are funded by his earnings. Despite all this, governments trouble him. I understand your pain.”

Linking trader welfare to national progress, the AAP Chief asserted, “I also understand that no country can progress until it protects even its smallest shopkeeper and provides him facilities. Governments talk about big investments everywhere. In Punjab too, like other states, there are initiatives like Invest Punjab. That is not wrong and should happen. They talk about industries worth ₹3,000 crore, ₹4,000 crore or ₹10,000 crore coming in. That is good and should happen. But no one ever paid attention to the small shopkeeper running a grocery store, a clothing shop, a bread shop, a tile shop, or shops in small markets. For the first time, a government has come where the small shopkeeper does not need to wonder whether to approach someone through recommendation or pay a bribe to get his work done. This has to stop.”

Explaining the new commission structure, he elaborated, “We are creating a system through which you will become part of the government. There will be a commission at the state level, then at the district level, and most importantly, at the constituency level. At the constituency level commission, there will be traders along with local police and administration. They’re responsible to approach every shopkeeper in markets and hold a meeting. The problems faced by shopkeepers will be discussed in these meetings. Individual shopkeepers may have personal problems, where someone says they have been running around for months and their work is not getting done. There may be market level problems such as broken roads, lack of toilets, drinking water issues, difficulties for traders and customers, and even law and order problems. Ninety percent of these problems will be solved at that level itself.”

Addressing policy level concerns, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Some issues will be at the policy level, which these committees will recommend to the state government and get fixed, including new policy suggestions. The OTS policy, for example, was made by previous governments, but they never intended to implement it. It was designed in such a way that it could never be implemented. If we make policies after talking to people, those policies will be implemented, and through these commissions, those policies will also reach you.”

Concluding, the AAP Supremo stated, “I am very happy that all these commissions are being launched by theAAP government. We hope that within the first three months, one round of meetings across all small and big markets in Punjab will be completed. Problems that can be solved on the spot will be resolved there, and those that need to go to the state level will be addressed at that level. After three months, the next round of meetings will be held.”

Addressing the gathering, Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “This is a unique programme taking place in Punjab, something that never happened under previous governments. The sky is the limit for the progress and prosperity of every individual, and this path-breaking initiative has been launched especially for the welfare of small shopkeepers. The AAP was constituted by Arvind Kejriwal not to indulge in politics, but to change politics itself and to teach the country the meaning of value-based politics.”

Highlighting the people-first approach of his government, the Chief Minister said that the sole objective behind assuming charge was to serve the people, a commitment clearly reflected on the ground. “More than 61,000 youth of Punjab have been given jobs purely on merit. We have closed over 17 toll plazas, saving nearly ₹64 lakh every day from the pockets of common people. To further facilitate citizens, the vacant offices at these toll plazas will now be converted into Aam Aadmi Clinics,” he said.

Drawing a contrast with previous governments, the Chief Minister said that while politicians of traditional parties amassed massive personal wealth, traders and shopkeepers were left struggling with meagre earnings. “I urge shopkeepers to prepare a detailed roadmap to boost the state’s development and strengthen the economy. Government revenue has already increased manifold, and every rupee will be spent judiciously for the development of Punjab and the prosperity of its people,” he stated.

Speaking on Punjab’s social ethos, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the sacred land of Punjab has always stood at the forefront of helping people in distress. “Punjabis never step back when it comes to serving the needy. Those who have usurped money meant for religious purposes or offerings made before the Almighty will not be spared. Exemplary action will be taken against such sinners,” he said, adding that the state government is making continuous and strenuous efforts for the welfare of every section of society.

Terming shopkeepers as the true patriots of the nation, the Chief Minister said, “Traders serve the country in the real sense by driving the economy. Those who sold the country and are holidaying in obscure foreign destinations have put Arvind Kejriwal behind bars because he worked honestly for the welfare of the common man.” He further said, “The Union government is working day and night for its industrialist friends, while depriving the poor of food by discontinuing schemes like MGNREGA.”

The Chief Minister said that while the Punjab Government is committed to paying salaries to poor workers, the Union government must release the legitimate share of funds pending with the Centre. “I had promised that governance would be run from villages and towns, not confined to offices. That promise has been fulfilled,” Bhagwant Singh Mann said, congratulating all commission members on their new responsibilities and expressing confidence that they would act as catalysts in Punjab’s development.

Addressing the gathering, senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia said that the prosperity of traders depends directly on the intent of the government. “Traders are the backbone of Punjab’s economy, yet for years they were forced to run from pillar to post to get their work done. To address this, the state government has constituted this commission. For the first time in the country, traders are truly being empowered,” he said.

Manish Sisodia said that traders have now been given the authority to help set the system right. “The members of this commission understand the problems of traders because they come from the same background. This initiative will give a major boost to trade and commerce in every nook and corner of Punjab, with traders’ issues being resolved at their doorsteps,” he said, adding that this model would pave the way for trader welfare policies to be implemented across the country.

Manish Sisodia said, “The Punjab State Traders Commission has been constituted, and this commission will get work done for the people directly from within the markets and for the traders. It will improve the condition of the markets and ensure that even the small, day-to-day issues of local markets are addressed. There are many routine works related to local markets that need attention, and shopkeepers often face problems for which they earlier had to run around. Now, they will not have to go anywhere, because the government itself will reach them. The condition of local markets will improve, and their overall picture will change.”

Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Cabinet Ministers Aman Arora, Harpal Cheema, Sanjeev Arora and others.

Mamta Banerjee Gears Up for Another Controversy, ED Approaches High Court Over Alleged Probe Obstruction

Mamta- Banerjee

Mamta Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, is once again at the centre of a political and legal dispute after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a motion in the High Court accusing her of obstructing an ongoing investigation. The development has sparked new discussion about the relationship between state governments and central investigative agencies.

What’s Alleged?

The ED claims that while performing official duties pertaining to a financial investigation in West Bengal, its officials encountered opposition and obstruction. The agency sought judicial intervention to guarantee that the investigation proceeds unhindered, claiming that its officers were unable to conduct legitimate searches and inquiries.

Why Did the High Court Get Approached by the ED?

The ED petitioned the High Court for guidance to guarantee efficient investigative procedures as well as protection for its officers. Such obstruction, according to the agency, undermines the rule of law and creates a concerning precedent for upcoming investigations into politically sensitive cases.

Tensions and Political Reactions

Tensions between the central government and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) have increased as a result of this action. Particularly in the run-up to elections, the TMC has frequently charged that central agencies like the ED and CBI are being used as political tools. However, the ED insists that it is adhering to due process and operating strictly within the law.

Mamta Banerjee’s Position

Mamta Banerjee has continuously defended her government, claiming that state authorities are assisting with investigations and accusing central agencies of overreach, even though she has not released a comprehensive statement regarding the most recent High Court ruling. She has frequently characterised such acts as an assault on democratic principles and federalism.

Centrum Multivitamin Lab Test: Pass Or Fail? Here’s What Was Found In Accuracy And Safety Check

Centrum Multivitamin Lab Test

When you take a daily multivitamin, you trust the label. You trust that what is claimed is actually inside the tablet. But how often do we really know the truth? That is exactly why the Centrum Multivitamin Lab Test has caught attention online. A blind testing platform, Trustified, recently shared its independent lab results, and the findings are worth a closer look.

Trustified tested Centrum Multivitamin to check two key things. First, whether the vitamins and minerals match what the company claims. Second, whether the product is safe when it comes to heavy metals. The results offer clarity for consumers who rely on this supplement every day.

How The Centrum Multivitamin Lab Test Was Done

The lab test was conducted on a 100-gram basis. However, Centrum clearly mentions on its label that one tablet weighs 1.44 grams. The serving size is also one tablet, and this weight is fully disclosed.

To make the results practical and easy to understand, Trustified recalculated the lab data. They converted the 100-gram lab report into values for one tablet, which is 1.44 grams. This helps consumers see exactly how much nutrition they get per serving.

A simple comparison sheet was created. On the left side were the company’s claims per tablet. On the right side were the actual lab findings. This side-by-side format made it easy to check accuracy without confusion.

The results for vitamins were clear. As per the lab report, the vitamin content matched the claims made on the label. In short, the product fully passed the vitamin accuracy check.

Minerals And Safety Check

After vitamins, the focus moved to minerals. Once again, the same comparison method was used. The minerals claimed by the company per tablet were compared with what the lab actually found.

Here too, the outcome was positive. The minerals present in one tablet were found to be in line with the label claims. This means the product also passed the mineral accuracy test without any major deviation.

The third and most important step was safety testing. The lab checked for heavy metals, which is a key concern for supplement users. Mercury, one of the most harmful heavy metals, was found below the allowable limit.

Other heavy metals were detected as well. However, all of them were within safe and permissible limits. This means the product did not raise any red flags from a safety point of view.

So, what does this mean for consumers? The Centrum Multivitamin Lab Test shows that the product delivers what it claims, both in nutrition and safety.

War against gangsters will be launched on lines of Yudh Nashean Virudh; All gangsters & their networks in Punjab will be eliminated: Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal

In a strong political message, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met newly elected Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members and asserted that Punjab has decisively broken away from the era of fear, goondagardi and manipulated elections, while announcing that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will now launch a full-scale war against gangsters on the lines of the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’.

Citing AAP’s sweeping victory of over 70 percent seats in the Panchayat polls as a mandate for clean politics and honest governance, the AAP Chief said Punjab had witnessed the cleanest local body elections in its history, with not even a single vote shifted, while CM Bhagwant Singh Mann underlined that pro-people governance had forced traditional parties to rewrite their manifestos.

Will appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as a humble Sikh, its command supreme above all else: Bhagwant Singh Mann

On the issue related to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he would certainly appear before the Takht with all facts and requested that the proceedings be telecast live on all channels. “I will appear there not as a Chief Minister, but as a humble and devout Sikh. Sri Akal Takht Sahib is sacred for every Sikh and is the highest temporal seat of our community. Even though the President of the country will be visiting Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, I will still ensure my presence before Sri Akal Takht Sahib,” he said.

He unequivocally asserted that for him, Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji is above everything. “Any order received from there will be obeyed in true letter and spirit. The command of Sri Akal Takht Sahib was, is and will always remain supreme for me and my family. It is a highly revered place from where Sikhs derive divine peace and strength,” Bhagwant Singh Mann said.

Addressing the gathering of the elected representatives in Ludhiana, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, “First of all, I congratulate all of you who have been elected in such large numbers as members of the District Councils and Block Committees. You must be happy today because the people have entrusted you with a new responsibility. It is a matter of great pride that in these elections, the AAP has won more than 70 percent of the total seats. These are your party’s seats.”

Recalling the past, the AAP Supremo said that traditionally, Panchayat elections were won by the ruling party through force and manipulation. “In 2013, Panchayat elections were held one year after the government was formed. In 2018 as well, elections were held one year after the government came to power in 2017. Despite that, there was rampant booth capturing, goondagardi and coercion, and only then did they win,” he said.

Contrasting that with the present, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “Today, after four years of our government, elections for Block Committees and District Councils were held and not even the slightest coercion was done. Look at the results. There are more than 600 seats where candidates won by less than 100 votes. Out of these, more than 350 seats were won by the opposition. There are many seats where Congress or Akali Dal candidates won by just one vote. Have you ever heard that a ruling party candidate lost by one vote?”

He added that if the AAP wanted to misuse power, it would have been very easy. “If we wanted to indulge in coercion, we could have just called the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and got our candidate declared elected. Shifting one vote here or there is not difficult. But we did not do that. We did not come into politics for this. The AAP was not formed to do coercion, corruption or goondaism. If that was the goal, then what difference would remain between us and Congress, BJP or Akali Dal? We came to change politics, to clean politics, to fix politics, and to end coercion and goondaism.”

Speaking on the deep-rooted problems Punjab had faced, the AAP Chief said, “They spread drugs all over Punjab. Who sells drugs? Whether it is one party or the other, it is their uncles, brothers, sons-in-law who are selling drugs, indulging in crime, and running gangs. They openly give tickets to gangsters. We did not come to do this. We came to clean this system. We have put our lives at stake, sacrificed everything. They even sent me to jail for raising my voice against them. They thought Arvind Kejriwal would stop speaking. I came out and roared even louder.”

He noted that Punjab witnessed completely clean elections. “Not a single vote was shifted. After four years of governance, despite the enormous challenges of running Punjab, people still voted for us. When we took over, there was no money. Punjab had been drowned in debt. They looted everything. Salaries were not paid on time earlier. In our time, not even one month has passed when salaries were delayed. Everyone gets their salary on time. We are running the government honestly, saving every penny, and delivering results.”

Listing achievements, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Big works are happening. Electricity has become free. Earlier, wherever I went during the last election, people would sit with electricity bills saying they had one small house, one fan, yet received bills of ₹10,000. Today, people are getting zero electricity bills. If this is not a miracle, then what is? Old bills have been waived.”

He said the electoral mandate reflected performance. “After four years in government, if we win over 70 percent seats with 38 percent vote share, that 38 percent is a vote for our work, not for coercion or corruption. It is a vote for honesty and decency. Our party is a party of decent people.”

Calling the newly elected representatives crucial to the future, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Now it is your responsibility to take this 38 percent vote share to 45 percent in the next election. Less than 45 percent is not acceptable. You must go village to village, meet people with folded hands, without arrogance. Arrogance destroyed Akali Dal and Congress. If you become arrogant, the same will happen to us. Go to people’s homes, work for them in their joys and sorrows, not only in official matters but also in personal difficulties. Be their brother, their son.”

The AAP Head emphasised AAP’s commitment to ordinary citizens. “The AAP is the party that gives tickets to ordinary people. It is the party where an ordinary person becomes the Chief Minister. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s father was not a politician. None of his relatives were politicians. Yet he became Chief Minister. In my family too, no one was a politician, yet I became Chief Minister. More than 90 percent of you also come from families with no political background. If you work well, you can become MLAs, ministers, purely on the basis of your work.”

Issuing a clear warning against complacency, the AAP National Convenor asserted, “Do not think that Arvind Kejriwal sitting in Delhi does not know what is happening in Punjab. We know who is working and who is not. You do not need to flatter anyone or come to Delhi or meet Bhagwant Singh Mann. The person whom the people love, whose work they admire, Arvind Kejriwal will go to his house and give him a ticket. You do not need to ask for it.”

Urging service over self-interest, he said, “Serve the people. God has given you this opportunity, and very few get such a chance. These opportunities exist only in the AAP. Other parties give tickets to gangsters or their relatives. We have never given tickets to our children or relatives. Only those who serve the people get tickets.”

Reflecting on the atmosphere before 2017, Arvind Kejriwal said, “During Akali Dal and Congress rule, Punjab lived in fear. False cases were common. People were scared. We ended that atmosphere. The culture of jhoothe parche (false cases) and goondagardi has been finished. Earlier, newspapers were routinely filled with reports of brutality against the Dalit community. Today, we have successfully curbed such incidents. Today, no one is afraid of the government because people know the government is there to serve them.”

On the fight against drugs, AAP National Convenor said that the ongoing war against drugs in Punjab is a result of the AAP government’s political will and courage. “People ask where this anti-drug campaign has come from. Who spread drugs in Punjab? It was their people. Their uncles and relatives were selling drugs. One of their biggest leaders is sitting in jail today. Earlier, neither the police nor the administration had the courage to even touch him. When we said he must be sent to jail, it was only the AAP government that had the resolve to do it because we had decided that Punjab’s youth must be freed from drugs,” he asserted.

He said that the government has taken firm action against drug traffickers. “With courage, we have sent big drug smugglers to jail. More than 28,000 cases have been registered and over 400 drug traffickers are currently behind bars. The government has now launched the second phase of the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’. From tomorrow, go to every village and every household and tell people clearly that if they vote for these parties again, drugs will return to Punjab, and this time they will destroy the state completely. Do not vote for these parties even by mistake,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal said that pulling Punjab out of the drug crisis has been extremely difficult. “With great courage and effort, we are bringing Punjab out of drugs. Go door to door and explain that if these people come back to power, electricity bills of ₹10,000 will return. We have stabilised Punjab’s finances with great difficulty. We have managed the state budget and are providing facilities to the people,” he said.

Referring to public welfare infrastructure, Arvind Kejriwal said, “In Delhi, I built Mohalla Clinics to provide free healthcare. Now the BJP government has come to power there and they are shutting down Mohalla Clinics one by one. You must have read it in newspapers. If they are voted to power, they will shut down all Mohalla Clinics. If they are voted to power, they will shut down schools which we are repairing with so much effort.”

Highlighting employment generation, he said, “Today, jobs are being given in Punjab. Earlier, not a single government job could be obtained without bribery or recommendations. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has given 60,000 jobs. Show me one person who says he got a job by paying a bribe. Show me one person who says he got a job through recommendation. Today, children of poor farmers and labourers are getting government jobs purely on merit. They are being recruited in the police and administration. For the first time, people are getting jobs honestly.”

He recalled how earlier protests had become routine. “Earlier, when Bhagwant Singh Mann and I used to tour Punjab, we would see teachers and employees sitting on water tanks everywhere. Teachers should be in classrooms. Today, you will not find a single employee sitting on a water tank. We have fulfilled everyone’s demands,” he said.

Speaking about infrastructure development, Arvind Kejriwal said, “Look at the roads being built today. Excellent roads are being constructed in every village. About 19,000 kilometres of village roads are being built. Out of Punjab’s total 64,000 kilometres of roads, 42,000 kilometres are currently under construction. Roads in villages and cities will all be completed within six months. You will see it yourselves.”

He also spoke about the pilgrimage initiative. “We have started pilgrimage tours. From every village, one or two buses are going for pilgrimages. Buses are going to Darbar Sahib, Durgiana Temple and Wagah Border,” he said.

On law and order, the AAP Chief said that after drugs, the government will launch a major campaign against gangsters. “Just like we started a war against drugs, we will start a war against gangsters as well. All gangsters and their networks in Punjab will be eliminated. We will not spare them,” he said.

Calling upon the newly elected representatives to shoulder responsibility, Arvind Kejriwal said, “It felt very good to meet all of you today. As I said earlier, we have only one target. The 38 percent vote share that we have must be taken to 45 percent. This responsibility is now on your shoulders. The people have given you an opportunity. Many of you have entered politics for the first time. God has given you this chance.”

Issuing a stern warning, Arvind Kejriwal said, “If you become arrogant, if you start focusing on making money or indulge in corruption, your political life will be finished forever. But if you dedicate yourself to service, God will take you far. It is possible that after Mann Sahib, the next Chief Minister of Punjab is sitting in this very hall today.”

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, said that the vision and dynamism of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has compelled traditional political parties to rewrite their manifestos and rethink their priorities.“The politics of this country has changed because of Arvind Kejriwal. Education, health and electricity have come to the centre of political discourse only because of AAP. Before this, no political party ever bothered about these sectors, even though they matter the most to the common man,” he said.

Congratulating the newly elected representatives, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that they had won these elections by building a direct rapport with the people, adding that local body elections are far more challenging than Assembly or Parliamentary polls. “You have emerged victorious by working among the people. This victory should be used to scale new heights in politics. I am confident that many of you will contest Assembly elections in the future,” he said, while noting that this stood in sharp contrast to other parties where dynasty politics prevails and tickets are distributed hereditarily.

Taking a dig at the Akali Dal, Bhagwant Singh Mann remarked that the party was struggling to find speakers for the upcoming Maghi conference at Sri Muktsar Sahib. “They do not have leaders left to address people,” he said, adding that the recent elections were conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner. “That is why the victory margins at many seats were very low. People are joining AAP in large numbers because of its pro-people policies, while several parties could not even find candidates as the public is fed up with their divisive politics,” he added.

He said that raising one’s voice for the people and winning amid intense competition was truly commendable. “Congress and Akalis have no agenda. They are merely waiting for their turn to return to power. But their dreams will never be fulfilled because people are fully aware of their dubious role against Punjab and its people,” he said.

Addressing the gathering, senior AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia said that the newly elected members had been chosen by the people and entrusted with a huge responsibility. “The mandate reflects people’s faith in the pro-people and development-oriented policies of the Punjab Government,” he said.

Manish Sisodia noted that the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members had participated enthusiastically in the second phase of the Yudh Nasheyan Virudh campaign, making it a major success. “The soul of Punjab lives in its villages, and I am confident that you will make every possible effort to ensure their development and prosperity,” he said.

Assuring full government support, Manish Sisodia said that there would be no shortage of funds for rural development. “The Punjab Government will stand firmly with you. I urge you to work in coordination with panchayats to ensure that health cards of all families are prepared without any delay,” he added.

Anurag Dhanda Takes a Tough Stand on Alleged Insult to Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, Targets Minister Kapil Mishra

Anurag Dhanda

A political storm erupted during the Delhi Assembly proceedings as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda strongly raised the issue of an alleged insult to Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, directly targeting Delhi minister Kapil Mishra. Dhanda has demanded Mishra’s immediate dismissal, calling the matter deeply sensitive and unacceptable.

Amid loud disruptions and heated exchanges in the Assembly, AAP legislators accused Kapil Mishra of hurting religious sentiments. Lending strong support to these demands, Anurag Dhanda accused the minister of serious misconduct and said such actions have no place in public life.

Anurag Dhanda: Demand for Kapil Mishra’s Removal

Taking to social media, Anurag Dhanda shared a video of AAP MLAs protesting inside the Assembly and made sharp allegations against Kapil Mishra. He claimed that Mishra had circulated a fake video and alleged that the minister had earlier played a role in instigating the Delhi riots, adding gravity to the controversy.

Dhanda stated that insulting Guru Teg Bahadur Ji is an attack on the faith and sentiments of millions, and asserted that Kapil Mishra should be removed from the Assembly without delay.

Issue Dominates Assembly Proceedings

The matter led to intense uproar in the Delhi Assembly, with opposition MLAs repeatedly raising slogans and demanding accountability. The controversy has further escalated tensions between the ruling dispensation and the AAP, turning the Assembly into a battleground over religious respect and political responsibility.

Dhanda’s Earlier Criticism of Assembly Actions

This is not the first time Anurag Dhanda has spoken out strongly on Assembly matters. Earlier, he had criticized the suspension of AAP MLAs, urging Speaker Vijender Gupta to revoke the action. Dhanda had argued that AAP legislators only wanted a discussion on Delhi’s pollution crisis, but were instead suspended, which he termed undemocratic.

He had then accused the government of suppressing voices raising public interest issues, a stance that continues to define his confrontational approach in the current controversy as well.

Political Temperature Rises in Delhi

With allegations, counter-allegations and demands for resignation gaining momentum, the issue is expected to further intensify political tensions in Delhi. As the debate over religious sentiments and ministerial accountability grows louder, Anurag Dhanda’s remarks have firmly placed Kapil Mishra at the center of a fresh political flashpoint.

AAP Alleges Opposition Unity to Stop Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal, Vows to Push Ahead

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has launched a sharp political attack on its rivals, alleging that the Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are working together behind the scenes with a common agenda — to stop Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP Alleges Opposition Unity to Stop Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal, Vows to Push Ahead

In a strong statement shared by AAP Punjab, the party claimed that traditional political forces, despite their public differences, are united internally to obstruct the governance and reform-driven politics of AAP in the state.

“Rivers Cannot Be Stopped,” Says AAP

Using a powerful metaphor, the party said that just as rivers cannot be blocked, the political momentum of AAP cannot be halted now. The message reflects the party’s confidence in its public support and its commitment to continue pushing forward with governance reforms in Punjab.

The statement emphasized that despite sustained political pressure and opposition tactics, the AAP government will not slow down or compromise on its agenda.

Bhagwant Mann Reaffirms Resolve

The post was endorsed by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has repeatedly maintained that his government remains focused on people-centric policies, transparency and accountability. Party leaders argue that growing public trust in AAP has unsettled opposition parties, leading to what they describe as coordinated resistance.

Political Climate Heats Up in Punjab

With Punjab’s political atmosphere becoming increasingly charged, AAP’s remarks signal a more assertive stance against opposition parties. Analysts believe such statements are aimed at consolidating the party’s support base while projecting confidence ahead of future political challenges.

As political narratives sharpen, AAP has made it clear that it sees the coming period as a test of resilience — one it believes it is fully prepared to face.

Budget 2026: Inclusive Growth, Better Security, Streamlined Freight, End To Cross-Subsidy Confusion And Efficiency In Overdrive, Here’s What To Expect In Rail Budget

Budget 2026

The transformation of Indian Railways must begin by balancing equity with economics. Importantly, infrastructure ownership must remain sovereign while reform measures must be introduced to target service delivery and commercial viability.

Budget 2026: As the Union Budget 2026 approaches, Indian Railways commands the centrestage in the growth story of India. Railways drive mass connectivity, economic cohesion and freight logistics. It seamlessly anchors the export ambitions, urban expansion and sustainability goals of the country.

Yet despite unprecedented capital infusions, performance lags. Execution delays multiply, operating ratios climb stubbornly high, private capital stays tentative and freight market share erodes against road and other forms of transportation. These persistent shortfalls arise not just from funding gaps but also from structural rigidities that have long undermined competitiveness and accountability.

Budget 2026 presents a pivotal moment. This is not only to inject more resources but to recalibrate Indian Railways for inclusive prosperity, freight dominance, operational excellence, pricing clarity and ironclad security.

Budget 2026-Inclusive Growth

Railways need to evolve significantly from an urban-centric carrier to a true inclusion engine. Presently, tier-2/3 cities and rural feel and remain underserved. Furthermore, passenger services on branch lines tend to suffer from chronic underinvestment while freight access remains elusive for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Budget 2026 may prioritize regional equity corridors. Targeted capex for 50-75 new Amrit Bharat-style stations in aspirational districts, multi-modal logistics parks near tier-2 industrial clusters and viability gap funding for socially vital uneconomic lines could be a good start to the financial year.

Better Security

There is no denying the fact that safety remains the biggest unresolved imperative of Railways for too long now. Despite track renewals and Kavach deployment, security incidents expose a series of systemic vulnerabilities such as ageing assets, fragmented oversight and overburdened staff.

Budget 2026 may bring institutional reforms and an Independent Rail Safety Authority with statutory powers over forensic incident analysis, crew rostering and anti-collision systems. Mandatory AI-driven predictive maintenance, phased rollout of Kavach 4.0 across 10,000 km Golden Hour routes and zero-tolerance certification for all locomotives may become realities.

Streamlined Freight

For long, freight underperformance of Indian Railways has drained its economic vitality. Presently, modal share languishes below 30 percent as road transport captures the biggest volume via flexibility. Small and medium-sized enterprises face opaque booking processes, private operators hesitate and dedicated freight corridors operate under capacity.

Budget 2026 may bring a freight platform authority. Other possibilities may include standarized slot contracts, transparent path auctions on operational Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFCs) and digital integration with Gati Shakti to ensure seamless SME access.

Railways could possibly focus more on real-time Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs), exceptional and reliable transit speeds and dynamic pricing that can claw back market share of Indian Railways.

End to Cross-Subsidy Confusion

Undeniably, cross-subsidies tend to distort every decision. Politically-capped passenger fares inflict massive losses, internal accruals stagnate and freight rates compensate via inflated tariffs despite ₹2.5 lakh crore capex.

The budget could focus on legislating explicit subsidy architecture. Direct budgetary support for concessional travel replaces hidden distortions to free freight P&L for competitive pricing; it may be encouraged.

Efficiency in Overdrive

Chronic execution failures betray ambition. L1 procurement breeds corner-cutting, project launch sans clearance and department silos tend to fragment delivery. The Budget 2026 could mandate pre-tender readiness certification – land acquisition, statutory approvals and Detailed Project Report (DPR) validation before bid invitation.

All in all, Budget 2026 requires no radical departures but decisive signals that structural reform eclipses incremental allocation. Inclusive growth, bulletproof security, freight resurgence, pricing sanity and efficiency dominance could form Railways’ new mandate – guiding India’s next growth decade.

Noida International Airport Nears January 2026 Launch, Telecom Connectivity Still in Limbo

As the much-anticipated Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar moves closer to its scheduled January 2026 inauguration, a major concern has emerged around telecom connectivity, raising questions just weeks ahead of the airport’s launch.

The issue stems from an ongoing dispute between Noida International Airport authorities and telecom service providers over network deployment and usage fees. While airport operations are progressing on schedule, uncertainty over mobile and data services could impact passenger experience if the matter is not resolved in time.

Noida International Airport: Fee Dispute Between NIA and Telecom Operators

According to industry sources, NIA has deployed its own telecom infrastructure through a third-party vendor and has asked telecom operators to pay fees to use this network. However, telecom companies have opposed the move, stating that only licensed telecom operators have the legal right to deploy networks, and that no separate Right of Way (RoW) fee is payable.

Telecom operators have termed the charges demanded by NIA as arbitrary and exorbitant, and discussions are currently underway to find a mutually acceptable solution.

Similar Pattern Seen at Navi Mumbai Airport

The dispute mirrors a similar situation at the Adani-backed Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), where operators were reportedly asked to pay ₹92 lakh per month per operator, amounting to nearly ₹44.16 crore annually for four operators. Industry experts fear that such high costs could set an unsustainable precedent for telecom deployment at large infrastructure projects.

Tech Mahindra to Manage Network and Cybersecurity

Despite the telecom standoff, NIA has taken steps to strengthen its digital backbone. In December 2025, the airport partnered with Tech Mahindra to set up and operate an integrated Network Operations Centre and Security Operations Centre (NOC-SOC).

Under the agreement, Tech Mahindra will provide 24×7 monitoring and management of the airport’s critical IT infrastructure, including applications, databases, servers, networks, storage systems and digital platforms. The integrated NOC-SOC will enable proactive detection, analysis and response to network and cybersecurity threats, ensuring operational resilience.

CM Yogi Adityanath Confirms January 2026 Inauguration

In December 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed the state Assembly that the Jewar airport will be inaugurated in January 2026. The airport is being developed and operated by a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, marking one of India’s most significant public-private aviation projects.

Passenger Experience at Stake

While construction and operational readiness remain on track, experts warn that reliable telecom connectivity is critical for airport operations, passenger communication, security systems and digital services. Any prolonged delay in resolving the dispute could affect the overall launch experience.

As negotiations continue, all eyes are on whether NIA and telecom operators can reach an agreement that ensures seamless connectivity when the airport opens its doors to the public.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Construction work on the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway has resumed after months of delay, bringing the key infrastructure project closer to completion under the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government.

Officials confirmed that work has restarted on the only pending stretch of the expressway in the Sarojini Nagar area of Lucknow, which had earlier stalled due to technical hurdles.

Pending Section Cleared After Transmission Line Shift

The delay was caused by a 300-metre stretch near Scooters India Chauraha, where high-voltage transmission lines needed to be shifted. Authorities have now completed the line relocation, clearing the way for uninterrupted construction.

With this obstacle removed, agencies have accelerated work to ensure the expressway is opened within the stipulated timeline.

Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway Work Resumes as CM Yogi Adityanath Govt Targets March 15 Completion

The state government has fixed March 15 as the new completion target for the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway. Officials said close monitoring is being done to ensure that the remaining work is completed without further delays.

Boost to Connectivity and Urban Mobility

Once completed, the expressway is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Lucknow and Kanpur, easing traffic congestion and improving daily commute for thousands of people. The project is also expected to strengthen economic activity and regional connectivity.

Focus on Timely Infrastructure Delivery

The resumption of work reflects the Yogi Adityanath government’s emphasis on resolving bottlenecks and delivering infrastructure projects on time. Authorities have been directed to maintain construction quality while adhering strictly to deadlines.

The completion of the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway is being seen as a major step towards improving road infrastructure and mobility in Uttar Pradesh.

Boost for AAP in Punjab

The meeting comes at a time when AAP has emerged as a strong force in Punjab’s rural politics. Political observers see the Ludhiana interaction as a morale booster for newly elected representatives and a signal of the party’s intent to remain closely connected with its grassroots workers.

Leadership Presence Strengthens Party Cadre

The joint presence of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal underscored the importance the party attaches to local bodies and decentralised governance. Party sources said such engagements help align vision, governance priorities and public expectations.

The Ludhiana meet reflects AAP’s continued emphasis on empowering local institutions and building a strong organisational structure across Punjab.
