Party General Secretary and Media In-charge Baltej Pannu said the proposed legislation is being carefully drafted to uphold the dignity of all religious texts, irrespective of faith. He added that the government is making sure the law is robust, constitutionally sound, and capable of delivering strict punishment to those found guilty of sacrilege-related offences.

According to AAP Punjab, the objective of the law is not only punitive but also preventive, ensuring that such incidents do not disturb social peace and communal harmony in the state. The government believes that a clear and stringent legal framework will act as a strong deterrent against attempts to hurt religious sentiments.

Distributes Blankets and Food Amid Cold Wave

As part of the outreach, CM Yogi Adityanath distributed food and blankets to those residing in the shelters, reaffirming the government’s commitment to protecting the underprivileged during harsh weather. Officials accompanying the chief minister were instructed to maintain regular monitoring of shelter homes and ensure that no needy person is left exposed to the cold.

Emphasising the state government’s humanitarian approach, the chief minister said that service, compassion and security remain the guiding principles of governance. He added that the “double-engine government” is fully committed to the welfare, safety and dignity of every citizen of Uttar Pradesh.

The state administration has intensified efforts to combat the cold wave by expanding shelter capacity, arranging warm bedding, ensuring regular meals and deploying teams to identify homeless individuals in urban and rural areas.

Officials informed the chief minister that round-the-clock monitoring teams have been deployed in all districts to identify homeless individuals and bring them to nearby shelter homes. Special instructions have been issued to district magistrates and municipal bodies to ensure uninterrupted power supply, clean drinking water, sanitation facilities and medical assistance at all night shelters.

The state government has also directed health departments to remain on alert to prevent cold-related illnesses, particularly among senior citizens, children and daily wage workers. Medical teams are conducting regular health check-ups at shelter homes, while ambulances have been kept on standby for emergency situations.

A source from the production team said, “The unit is currently on a scheduled year-end break. This was locked months ago. Bhansali films are mounted on a massive scale, so any pause is immediately seen as a delay.”

Another insider explained that the remaining shoot involves “patchwork and VFX because it is a period film, select scenes, and musical portions.”

The source also addressed rumours of a rift. They said, “These are long, demanding shoots. Ranbir, Alia and Vicky are fully on board and committed. They plan to resume by mid-January until March, with post-production moving along in parallelly.”

Sahu later issued an apology, but the damage had already been done.

Amid the ongoing controversy, fresh drama unfolded on Saturday night at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. As reported by TOI, Neha Singh Rathore arrived there with her husband, Himanshu Singh, to record her statement in connection with an FIR lodged against her earlier this year. Her sudden appearance caused a stir, drawing media attention and senior police officials.

ACP Hazratganj Vikas Jaiswal clarified that Neha came on her own. However, he stated there is no legal provision to record a woman’s statement during night hours under the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. Her statement was later recorded by the investigating officer. The ACP said, “She will be called again during the daytime if needed.”

From January 3 to January 31, train No. 04827 from Bhagat Ki Kothi while the return train No. 04828 from Bandra Terminus will offer services from January 4 to February 1. This will help working professionals, traders, tourists travelling between Mumbai and Jodhpur and more. The decision was taken by Indian Railways keeping in view the growing count of passengers, especially during the festive and holiday season.

Schedule and Stoppage Details

Train will depart every Saturday at 11:30 am from Bhagat Ki Kothi and reach Bandra Terminus at 7:27 am the next day. In contrast, the return train no. 04828 will depart Bandra Terminus at 10:30 am and will reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 4:30 am the next day. Stoppages will remain unchanged.

The Guardian spoke to many experts that remarked that the United States has violated the UN charter terms. As per article 2(4), states should refrain from the use of military force against other states while respecting their overall sovereignty.

Geoffrey Robertson KC, a founding head of Doughty Street Chambers and a former president of the UN war crimes court in Sierra Leone, remarked that the US attack on Venezuela was contrary to the UN charter’s article 2(4). He added that the Trump administration has committed the supreme and the worst crime.

Elvira Domínguez-Redondo, a professor of international law at Kingston University, termed the US operation as unlawful use of force and a crime of aggression against another country. In contrast, Susan Breau, a professor of international law and a senior associate research fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies remarked that the US attack could have been termed lawful if Trump was acting in self-defence or got a resolution passed from the UN.

The five permanent members of the council – the United States itself, China, Russia, United Kingdom and France – have a veto. Interestingly, the UK and France are USA allies, meaning no action is likely against the United States.

What Precedent Could This Set Globally?

If USA escapes without sanctions, it would encourage Russia and China to do similar things against Ukraine and Taiwan or even Japan. While some of Vijay’s fans defended the use of artificial intelligence in film production, the majority expressed disappointment. Netizens called it a lapse in post-production quality control and a sign of unnecessary reliance on AI for a shot that could have been filmed practically. Observers noted that the trailer editor likely forgot to remove the watermark before release.

The trailer (launched on Saturday) features Vijay as Vetri Kondan, a cop seeking vengeance. The scene in question follows a moment showing someone cocking a shotgun, but a brief sliver revealed the Google Gemini logo. Though the makers removed the watermark after it was noticed, the damage on social media was done.

One user wrote, “#JanaNayagan movie ka budget 300 crore hai, fir bhi Gemini ka istemal.”

Another tweeted, “EMBARRASSING – #JanaNayaganTrailer at 0:23 they did not remove the Gemini logo from the bottom! This is the level of detailing present in a 300Cr Kollywood Sankranti release, which people think can cross 1000Cr? While the use of AI in films is still debatable. This is just Shameful.”
