Reports suggest that its worldwide gross collection currently stands at around Rs 234.93 crore, while overseas earnings are close to Rs 56.95 crore.

The steady performance has helped the film remain among the top-performing Hindi films currently running in cinemas.

Bhooth Bangla Holds Strong Despite Raja Shivaji Wave

Interestingly, Bhooth Bangla has managed to maintain decent collections even after the massive success of Raja Shivaji, which is dominating theatres across Maharashtra. The film’s family-friendly horror-comedy genre and Priyadarshan’s nostalgic style are helping it attract repeat audiences. Although the collections have slowed compared to its opening weeks, the drop has remained controlled.

The movie has also achieved another major record. It has reportedly become the highest-grossing non-franchise horror-comedy film of all time in Bollywood.

However, crossing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s lifetime collection looks difficult. Kartik Aaryan’s blockbuster had earned around Rs 180 crore in India net collections. Bhooth Bangla still needs more than Rs 30 crore to beat that number, which trade analysts believe is unlikely at this stage of its theatrical run.

She claimed that the men stared at her throughout the trip and later started chanting slogans after the plane landed. Videos shared online reportedly showed passengers shouting slogans like “Jai Shri Ram” and “chor chor TMC chor.” The men were also seen recording inside the aircraft before the passengers got off. The TMC leader said the recording happened without her permission and described the incident as intimidation and harassment during her travel. 

Moitra Demands Action From IndiGo and Aviation Ministry

Following the incident, Mahua Moitra called on IndiGo and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu to take strong action against those involved. So far, IndiGo has not issued any official statement about the issue. The incident has sparked conversations online about passenger behavior, privacy, and political hostility in public areas.

At the trailer launch of Kartavya, Saif opened up about working with producer Shah Rukh and revealed why the actor never visited the sets during filming.

The revelation quickly grabbed attention because SRK is known for being deeply creative and involved in filmmaking. However, Saif explained that SRK intentionally avoids interfering in a director’s process and believes filmmakers should have complete creative freedom.

Saif Ali Khan Opens Up About Producer Shah Rukh Khan

Produced under Red Chillies Entertainment, Kartavya marks another collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan after cult favourite Kal Ho Naa Ho. The two actors have also famously hosted the Filmfare Awards together several times.

Speaking about his bond with Shah Rukh Khan, Saif said, “I’ve had a lovely and long association with Shah Rukh. He’s someone I look up to in many, many ways. I had a short meeting with him. He said there’s a lovely script and that he’d like me to hear it and do the film.”

Saif further shared that their interactions during the shoot remained limited. “I went through the process of listening to it and meeting the director (Pulkit). Once we finished the shoot and Shah Rukh watched it, he said it’s a lovely film. He’s very happy with it. That was pretty much the limit of my interaction with him.”

Shah Rukh Khan Believes Directors Need ‘Freedom To Operate’

During the media interaction, Saif Ali Khan revealed that Shah Rukh Khan never came to the sets of Kartavya. According to him, SRK believes too much producer presence can sometimes become overwhelming for a director.

Saif explained, I didn’t meet him on set because he’s one of the producers who believes that a director is free to operate and make the film that he wants to make. Sometimes, some kinds of presence can be overwhelming on sets, and he understands that,” Saif explained.

He continued, “He gave us a lot of room to make the film that we wanted to make. So, that was his involvement. I felt like I was working for his production with his sensibilities. But for that, an everyday involvement wasn’t required.”

All About Kartavya And SRK’s Upcoming Films

The upcoming crime drama Kartavya is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15, 2026. Directed by Pulkit, the film stars Saif Ali Khan as a police officer and devoted “Mahadev ka bhakt” who faces a moral crisis after his family becomes the target of dangerous threats. The film is backed by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently preparing for King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand. The action thriller is expected to release during Christmas 2026 and will reportedly feature SRK as a ruthless international don opposite daughter Suhana Khan in her big-screen debut.

Apart from King, Shah Rukh Khan also has Pathaan 2 and the highly anticipated crossover film Tiger vs Pathaan in development.

TCS Nashik Case: The Maharashtra Police arrested Nida Khan on Thursday. She is one of the main suspects in the TCS Nashik conversion and harassment case, which has received significant attention. She was taken into custody in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after apparently evading capture for several days. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) reported that Nida Khan was found staying in a flat in Kaiser Colony with family members. Police had been watching the location before conducting the arrest operation in cooperation with the Crime Branch and local police. After her arrest, she was brought before a Judicial Magistrate for a transit remand and was later taken to Nashik for further questioning. 

What Is the TCS Conversion and Harassment Case?

The controversy began when a woman employee at the TCS Nashik office filed a complaint against her colleague Danish Sheikh. She claimed that he entered a relationship with her by falsely promising marriage while already being married. Police reports state that Nida Khan, Danish Sheikh’s sister, pressured the complainant to change her religion and made disrespectful comments about her faith. Another accused, Tausif Akhtar, was also involved in concealing the truth about Danish Sheikh’s marital status. As the investigation continued, several more women reportedly came forward with claims of mental harassment, sexual harassment, and negligence by the company’s HR department. 

TCS Responds to Allegations

TCS Nashik Case: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) clarified that Nida Khan worked as a process associate and did not have any HR or recruitment role. The company also said it had not received any formal complaints through its internal channels before. Reports indicate that Khan was suspended after the issue became public. Her access to company systems was revoked while the investigation is ongoing. The case keeps attracting public attention as police look further into the allegations.
