The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 2: Prabhas Starrer Sees Huge 48% Drop Amid Largely Negative Reviews, Earns Less Than His Flop Film Adipurush

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 1: Expectations were very high for The Raja Saab. The film marks Prabhas’ return in a horror-comedy setup. It also comes after several delays, which only increased curiosity among fans. Directed by Maruthi, the film finally released in theatres on January 9 and opened to strong numbers on Day 1.

Prabhas’ star power helped the film take a flying start. Advance bookings were solid. Early shows saw packed theatres in many Telugu-speaking regions. However, the excitement did not last long. By Day 2, the film saw a sharp slowdown at the box office.

Mixed to negative reviews began to dominate online conversations. Audience reactions were divided from the first night itself. As a result, the second-day collections dropped heavily, raising concerns about the film’s long-term run.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 2

As per Sacnilk data, The Raja Saab earned Rs 27.83 crore on its second day. This is a steep fall of nearly 48 percent compared to its Day 1 collection of Rs 53.75 crore. It is important to note that Day 1 numbers included Rs 9.15 crore from pre-release screenings, which boosted the opening figures.

After two days, the total net collection of the film in India stands at Rs 90.73 crore. On Saturday, the film recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of around 44 percent. These numbers are decent but not impressive by Prabhas’ standards.

The film is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark soon. Even so, trade experts feel this performance is below expectations. Prabhas’ recent films like Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD delivered much stronger results in the same timeframe.

The comparison with Adipurush is also hurting the film. Despite being labelled a flop, Adipurush earned around Rs 65 crore on Day 2 alone. In just two days, it collected nearly Rs 152 crore net in India. Against that backdrop, The Raja Saab is lagging far behind.

Negative Reviews, Missing Scenes And Makers’ Response

Poor word of mouth appears to be the biggest reason for the drop. Many viewers complained about slow pacing and uneven humour. Some also felt the visual effects did not match the scale promised in the trailer. A major talking point was the absence of certain scenes that were heavily promoted before release.

As criticism grew on social media, the makers responded quickly. A press conference was held in Hyderabad on Saturday. Director Maruthi confirmed that new scenes featuring Prabhas would be added to the film. These scenes focus on Prabhas in an older look and are meant to improve the second half.

Explaining the decision, Maruthi said, “Keeping that in mind, I sat last evening to make the second half of the film sharper and include the missing scenes from the 6 PM show today. I am sure that the 8-9 minute episode will be mind-blowing. No film has depicted a fight scene taking place on the roof so far. Prabhas worked very hard for it.” He also assured fans that they would “definitely” be satisfied with the changes.

The Raja Saab tells the story of Raju, played by Prabhas. He travels to Hyderabad to find his missing grandfather for his grandmother Gangamma, portrayed by Zarina Wahab. She suffers from Alzheimer’s and believes her husband disappeared mysteriously. Raju’s journey leads him to a haunted ancestral mansion in the Narsapur forest. There, he discovers that his grandfather Kanakaraju (played by Sanjay Dutt) has become a powerful ghost.

The film also stars Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar. The supporting cast includes Boman Irani and Brahmanandam. Made on an estimated budget of Rs 400 to Rs 450 crore, the film features massive sets and extensive visual effects work.

Further transform second phase of ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ into mass movement: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann to party cadres

CM Bhagwant Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday attended a Lok Milni in Bathinda, where he urged party leaders, workers, and cadres to intensify their efforts to further transform the second phase of ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ into a mass movement, asserting that Punjab is leading the nation’s decisive war against drugs.

Interacting with party leaders, workers, and other cadres during a Lok Milni, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The state government has launched the second phase of Yudh Nashean Virudh with the clear objective of completely eradicating the menace of drugs from Punjab. Big leaders of previous regimes were part and parcel of this sin, but the AAP government has registered cases against 28,000 drug peddlers in the last one year with a conviction rate of 88 percent.” He said this decisive action had given fresh momentum to the war against drugs by winning the confidence of the people in this campaign.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The enthusiasm of the people reflects the fact that we are very close to winning the war against drugs. Only a mass movement, and not police or government action alone, can ensure success. Earlier governments patronised the drug trade, but we have cracked down on it.” He said the Yudh Nashean Virudh campaign is aimed at saving future generations and its results will be visible soon.

Stressing the need of the hour, the Chief Minister said, “We must make concerted and selfless efforts for a massive crackdown against drugs. This campaign is a form of war against drugs, and the state government is committed to saving the youth, farmers, water, and environment of Punjab.” He added that to make Punjab drug free, a comprehensive and multi-dimensional strategy has been adopted.

Detailing the action taken so far, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The supply lines have been broken, big players connected with the drug trade have been sent to jail, drug victims have been treated and rehabilitated, and bulldozers have been used on the properties of drug traffickers.”

He said the campaign would continue in the coming times and he would not rest until Punjab is completely free from the menace of drugs. He urged party cadres to actively seek the support of the common man so that the results of this decisive war against drugs surpass those of Phase I.

Highlighting governance achievements, the Chief Minister said, “The AAP government in Punjab has taken several pro-people decisions. For the first time, canal water has reached villages at the tail end of the state, resolving long-pending irrigation issues.” He said several closed canals and distributaries were reopened, and in some areas water flowed again after 37 years.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann further said, “Farmers are now receiving daytime electricity, and 90 percent of households are getting free power, reducing financial pressure. More than 61,000 youth have been given government jobs transparently, without recommendation or corruption.” He added that the state government had closed 17 toll plazas, saving the people of Punjab around ₹64 lakh daily in toll fees.

On healthcare, the Chief Minister said, “To provide accessible healthcare, 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened across the state, offering free treatment and medicines. The Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna will soon be rolled out, enabling cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh.” He added that revolutionary steps taken in the education sector have attracted national praise.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “A total of 118 Schools of Eminence are being established, which are being seen as a crucial step toward securing a bright future for underprivileged children.” He said students are being provided free uniforms, and the free bus service for girls ensures that no girl is deprived of education. He added that special coaching is being provided for entry into the armed forces and competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, CLAT, and NIFT.

Expressing pride in the outcomes, the Chief Minister said, “As many as 265 students from Schools of Eminence and other government schools have qualified for JEE Mains, 44 for JEE Advanced, and 848 for NEET.” He added that teachers and principals from Punjab have been sent to world-acclaimed institutes to upgrade their teaching skills.

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Sadak Surakhya Force constituted by the state government has been widely praised across the country and even in the Parliament of the nation.

Thanks to the Maan Government’s Digital vision, Easy Registry sets a record with over 3.70 lakh Registries recorded in just 6 months

Hardeep Singh Mundian

Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Friday said that the Easy Registry initiative has emerged as a game-changer in Punjab’s property registration system, delivering strong and consistent outcomes across the state.

Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that from its inception in July 2025 till December 2025, a total of 3,70,967 property documents were registered, marking a major push towards transparent, corruption-free and citizen-friendly land services. “The response to Easy Registry clearly shows that people trust a system that is transparent, time-bound and free from harassment. In just six months, more than 3.70 lakh property documents have been registered, which itself proves the success of these reforms,” he noted.

Sharing month-wise figures, the Revenue Minister said that 64,965 documents were registered in July 2025, followed by 62,001 in August, 55,814 in September and 53,610 in October. He said the momentum strengthened further with 58,200 registrations in November, while December recorded the highest figure with 76,377 documents. “This steady rise in registrations reflects growing public confidence in a simplified and technology-driven property registration framework,” he said.

Explaining the structural reforms, He said that Easy Registry has introduced online pre-scrutiny of documents, significantly reduced procedural delays and improved accessibility at Sub Registrar offices. “Unsigned copies of sale deeds are now scrutinised online within 48 hours, which has effectively closed avenues for harassment and corruption,” said the Minister, adding that all objections raised during scrutiny are monitored by Deputy Commissioners and SDMs to ensure accountability and action against frivolous practices.

The Revenue Minister said that the implementation of the First In First Out principle has ended queue-jumping and favouritism, thereby dismantling the VIP culture in property registration. “Citizens now have the freedom to register documents at any Sub Registrar office within their district. This has broken monopolies and ensured fair and equal access to services for all,” said Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian.

Highlighting the citizen-centric nature of the initiative, Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that applicants receive automated WhatsApp updates at every stage of the process, including scrutiny, payments and appointment scheduling. He said a direct complaint mechanism has also been put in place to report any demand for bribes, with immediate redressal ensured at the district level.

Detailing additional facilities, Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said that citizens can draft sale deeds through the ‘Draft My Deed’ module, avail services at Sewa Kendra counters established in every Sub Registrar office, or opt for doorstep drafting and registration through helpline 1076. “Online payment of stamp duty and registration fees through 25 banks in a single transaction has further simplified the process and enhanced convenience for people,” he said.

The Minister said that an Integrated Token Management System has also been implemented to prioritise citizens with scheduled appointments and complete documentation. “This has reduced waiting time and ensured uniform service delivery across both urban and rural Punjab,” he said, adding that upgraded servers, trained staff and standardised processes have strengthened public trust and improved revenue collections for the state.

Anurag Dhanda Highlights Public Health Concerns as Delhi Pollution Becomes a Political Flashpoint, Check Details

Anurag- Dhanda

Delhi’s worsening air pollution has once again moved beyond an environmental issue to become a major political flashpoint. Senior leader Anurag Dhanda has strongly highlighted the growing public health concerns, questioning accountability and policy responses as air quality continues to impact daily life in the national capital.

Delhi Pollution: It’s Not Just an Environmental Problem

Delhi‘s air pollution issue is no longer transient or seasonal. Rising AQI readings put youngsters, the elderly, and those with respiratory disorders at risk for health problems every year. Polluted air has grown to be a major public health concern, causing everything from respiratory problems to long-term health issues. Anurag Dhanda emphasized that pollution is a catastrophe that affects millions of lives every day.

Public Health Concern Raised by Anurag Dhanda

Anurag Dhanda discussed the topic and emphasized how public health is directly impacted by declining air quality. He noted that anytime pollution levels rise, hospitals see a substantial increase in cases of lung infections, asthma, and breathing difficulties. He underlined that public health is seriously jeopardized by disregarding the issue of clean air, which is a fundamental right rather than a privilege.

Pollution Becomes a Flashpoint in Politics

Political tensions have increased in tandem with the worsening pollution levels. Anurag Dhanda questioned the efficacy of current pollution-control measures, amplifying the concerns expressed by AAP lawmakers. He denounced the government’ constant cycle of assigning blame, saying that prompt action reduces pollution rather than political debates.

Effects on Delhi’s Everyday Life

Delhi‘s daily life is still disrupted by pollution, from health advisories to school closures. Masks are reinstated, outside activities are prohibited, and vulnerable populations are urged to remain indoors. Anurag Dhanda emphasized that many individuals, particularly daily wage laborers, cannot afford to stay indoors, making pollution a social and economic problem in addition to a health one.

Demand Long-Term Solutions and Accountability

Anurag Dhanda advocated long-term planning and accountability over short-term fixes. In order to address pollution at its source, he emphasized the necessity of coordinated action including federal and state authorities. He claims that Delhi will continue to have the same crisis year after year in the absence of consistent policy execution and stringent enforcement.

Gut Health Lies You Still Believe Are Silently Wrecking Your Body – Harvard Doctor Busts THESE 5 Common Myths

Gut Health Myths and Truths

We all want a healthy gut, but sometimes, what we think is good for digestion might actually be harming it. From fibre myths to overhyped probiotics, there are plenty of misconceptions that quietly affect your overall health. Harvard-trained doctor Saurabh Sethi recently shared some common gut health myths on Instagram that many of us still believe and revealed whether they are true.

Common Gut Health Myths You Must Stop Believing

One of the biggest myths is that all fibre works the same. Dr Sethi explains that different fibres feed different gut bacteria. Simply consuming more fibre isn’t enough. Your microbiome thrives on variety. Another misconception is that daily bloating is normal. Chronic bloating isn’t something to ignore as it often points to food intolerances, gut imbalances or inflammation.

Many people also believe that avoiding fats will improve digestion. The truth is the opposite: healthy fats actually support bile flow, nutrient absorption and overall gut health. Then there’s the hype around probiotics. While they can be beneficial, they aren’t magic. Without fibre, proper hydration and lifestyle changes, the effects of probiotics fade quickly.

Finally, just because digestion feels fine doesn’t mean your gut is healthy. Dr Sethi says, “Your gut impacts far more than digestion.” It plays a crucial role in immunity, hormone regulation and even brain health. Ignoring these aspects can silently affect your well-being over time.

MythTruth
All fibre works the sameDifferent fibres feed different gut bacteria. Your gut needs variety, not just more fibre.
Daily bloating is normalRegular bloating is a warning sign. It often points to food intolerance, imbalance or inflammation.
Avoid fats for better digestionHealthy fats help bile flow, improve nutrient absorption and support gut health.
Probiotics fix all gut problemsProbiotics are not magic. Without fibre, hydration and lifestyle changes, they don’t work well.
If digestion feels okay, the gut is healthyGut health affects immunity, hormones, mood and brain health, not just digestion.

How To Support Your Gut

Understanding these myths is the first step, but taking action is what truly matters. To support your gut, focus on variety in your diet, including different types of fibre from fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Incorporate healthy fats like olive oil, nuts and seeds, which help your body absorb essential nutrients.

Hydration is equally important as water aids digestion and keeps your gut moving smoothly. Pair this with probiotics from fermented foods like yoghurt, kefir or kimchi, but remember they work best alongside a fibre-rich diet and active lifestyle. Regular exercise, stress management and adequate sleep also have a strong influence on gut health.

By busting these common myths, you can make smarter choices for your digestive system. A healthy gut doesn’t just prevent bloating or discomfort. It improves immunity, mental clarity and overall energy.

Your gut deserves more than assumptions. Know the facts, eat mindfully and let your microbiome thrive.

As seen in a clip shared by SonyLIV, the entrepreneur approached Namita and said, “Aaj tak is aquarium mein aap jaise sundar aur paise wali shark nahi dekhi. Ye dil, ye haath aur ye ring sirf aapke liye. Will you accept my proposal?”

Namita, clearly surprised, replied, “My God, of course, I do. By the way, proposal kya hai? Bina jaane, I accept. Diamonds ke liye kuch bhi.”

Anupam Mittal joked, “Chal bhai. Love it. Tera kaam ho gaya. Tu usko leke ja. Wapis mat laiyo.”

After the proposal, the pitchers presented their brand, True Diamond. They highlighted their unique designer diamond rings. “Mam, ye ek regular diamond nahi hai. This is a Portuguese ka true diamond. Isme teen guna zyada shine, sparkle aur fire compare to regular diamonds. Iske bolne ka tarika shayad soft ho, but ye ring genuinely bahut hi solid hai,” they explained.

Founders Parin Shah and Majnu Darash said their brand focuses on luxury and customisation. They offer titanium rings, black diamonds, champagne-coloured gold, and rare Kashi 108 cut diamonds. Customers can personalise lab-grown or natural diamonds with 18-carat gold and yellow diamonds using their Build Your Own Ring bar.

Adding another twist, one of the pitchers said, “True Diamond mein hamara ask hai 1.08 crore for 1% equity. But Namita ji ek confession hai. Sorry, you are not my first.”

Curious, Namita asked who had accepted before. The pitcher revealed, “That is Kunal. Accept kar chuke hain matlab hi is an investor. Yes. Ok. Uski baat ho hi gayi, to kitne mein invest kiya tha? Sir, first round mein 40 crore ka post-money valuation tha, aur second round mein 108 crore ka post-money valuation tha. Total first round mein 8.35 crore raise kiya aur second round mein 25.92 crore.”

Shiva Kachhi, chairman of the minority rights organisation Pakistan Darawar Ittehad, condemned the killing of Kailash and termed it as brutal and cold-blooded murder.

Many human rights and Hindu minority groups led massive nationwide protests, especially in Sindh, against the Pakistani local and federal government. The groups are demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. They have also demanded a case to be registered against the accused under the charges of terrorism and murder.

In a post on X, Kachhi said the blood of Kailash demands complete justice. Kachhi added the cold-blooded murder is an attack on humanity, fundamental rights, justice and the safety of Hindus in Sindh.

The murder of Kailash came a few days after India was lectured by Pakistan foreign minister on minority rights. Pakistan FM criticized the demolition drive near Delhi’s Turkman Gate area. In reply, India had rejected the remarks calling them “abysmal.”

The Thar coal supply route and the primary road connecting Badin to Hyderabad via Tando Muhammad Khan was blocked by demonstrators. They were protesting to arrest Sarfaraz Nizamani who killed Kailash. The deceased was shot dead on January 4 in a village near Talhar.

Three talk rounds were held by Deputy Commissioner Yasir Bhatti and Senior Superintendent of Police Qamar Raza Jikani with the protestors. After the administration’s assurances, the protestors agreed to call off the protest but issued an ultimatum of one week for the accused’s arrest.

Minority rights activist Sodhi Kolhi strongly criticised the Pakistan police and said the murder reflected the vulnerability of poor communities.

Bhagwant Mann Opens Newly Built Railway Overbridge in Bathinda, Improving Connectivity and Supporting Local Development

Bhagwant-Mann

Bhagwant Mann News: A significant step toward enhancing urban connectivity and reducing daily traffic congestion in the city was taken when Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the recently constructed Railway Overbridge on Multania Road in Bathinda. Residents, commuters, and traders who frequently encountered traffic bottlenecks due to railroad crossings had long anticipated the project.

A Long-Standing Request Fulfilled at Last

Multania Road continued to be one of Bathinda’s busiest and most congested thoroughfares for many years. Traffic stoppages brought on by frequent train movements resulted in delays, fuel waste, and commuter annoyance. The opening of this railway overbridge has improved traffic flow and saved time by allowing cars to travel freely without having to wait at closed railway gates.

Enhancement of Safety and Traffic Management

It is anticipated that the recently opened ROB will greatly lessen traffic congestion in the neighborhood. The overbridge improves road safety and reduces the likelihood of accidents by removing railroad crossing disruptions. Uninterrupted mobility will also help emergency vehicles like fire engines and ambulances, guaranteeing quicker reaction times.

Increasing Punjab’s Urban Infrastructure

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to bolstering Punjab’s infrastructure during the project’s launch. He underlined that development initiatives like this overbridge are intended to directly benefit the general public by enhancing everyday transportation, increasing economic activity, and updating urban infrastructure.
