Rajasthan News: The Rajasthan government has announced that residents of the state would face no challenges to get LPG or PNG supplies starting from Akha Teej (Akshaya Tritiya) that falls on April 19, 2026.

Sumit Godara, the state’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister, commented that the state government is in full action mode to ensure that no wedding in the state is hampered due to non-availability of LPG or PNG supplies.

The decision was taken after a high-level review meeting on the supply system of commercial and domestic Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) cylinders in Rajasthan. The meeting was also attended by senior officials from representatives and departments of oil & gas marketing companies.

Rajasthan News-What’s Special?

Godara remarked that the average delivery time for Liquefied petroleum gas cylinders in the state would be maintained at approximately 4.5 days. The Minister also ordered officials to make sure that there is sufficient availability of commercial LPG cylinders for wedding functions in both urban and rural areas. In urban areas, three 19-kg cylinders and two 19-kg cylinders would be provided in rural areas as per the minister’s directions.

How To Avail? Step By Step Guide

Interested applicants are required to submit a request to the concerned District Supply Officer (DSO). A copy of the wedding invitation card needs to be submitted. Thereafter, the DSO would reach out to the local gas agency to ensure timely supply.

The Food and Civil Supplies Minister also focused on accelerating the expansion of PNG connections in the state of Rajasthan. Godara directed gas companies and officials to speed up the process of laying PNG pipelines, increasing new connections and raising industrial and public awareness about the advantages of PNG connections.

The Minister also instructed that no LPG cylinders in the state should be delivered without the successful completion of electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) so that complete transparency is maintained and benefits only reach the eligible consumers.

The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model followed by the UP government would mark one of the most ambitious transport infrastructure upgrades in recent history of the state under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. The initiative that also includes free land for Narora (Bulandshahr), Tulsipur tehsil (Balrampur) and Sikandrarao tehsil (Hathras) would help in modernizing public transport in Uttar Pradesh.

At its core, the PPP model would help in attracting private investment into the redevelopment of state’s bus terminals. This would help in reducing the fiscal burden on the state government’s exchequer while accelerating growth and development in Uttar Pradesh. During his performance, Samay said, “Gunde aa chuke the, Habitat main tod phod chal rahi thi, police aa gayi. Wahan pe kuch 20-30 police wale aa gaye, Apoorva ko rape threats aa rahe hain, uski family ko death threats aa rahe hain. Ranveer ki mom, bechari ka ek clinic hai, wahan pe gunde ghus gaye hain, she had to run from the back gate.”

He added, “Usko (Ranveer Allahbadia) death threats aa rahe hain. Uski family ghabraayi hui hai. Everyone’s messaging me, ‘Bhai, what happened?’ I was feeling so guilty that morning, looking at all this, something that I had uploaded had caused all this… Then I saw one video that Balraj’s wife sent to me and that broke me completely. That was the final nail in the coffin.”

The moment that affected him the most was seeing Balraj’s elderly parents pleading with the police. He said, “Habitat ke andar, Balraj ke maa baap, who are in their 70s, unki koi galati nahi hai, they just run that comedy club jahan hum shoot karte the. Andar voh jawan jawan policewalo ke paeron (feet) main gire hue the, ‘Sir, please hume jaane do, humne kuch nahi kiya hai.’ I fucking broke down looking at the video, and I was just crying.”

Samay also admitted he felt “scared to death” and didn’t know how to handle the situation. He avoided speaking openly to his mother, but when she noticed something was wrong, she reached out. Seeing her worried made him emotional.

How Life Changed After The Controversy

Before the controversy, Samay said his life was going well. He recalled, “I sometimes wonder if I should’ve edited that video. I had such a great life going on till January 2025. Every YouTube video of mine had 5 to 6 crore views. Every reel, every podcast is talking about me. I’m in all their thumbnails. Every celebrity wants to meet me. All other comedians are jealous of me. They were struggling to make similar content. It was so much fun. I was king, man,”

He had also planned a big stand-up tour in the US and sold over 50,000 tickets. But the controversy changed everything. He experienced anxiety attacks backstage but still performed.

The pressure was not just emotional but financial. Samay revealed that legal issues could have forced him to cancel shows, risking nearly Rs 8 crore, his life savings.

He added, “I swear to God I felt like it was a dream, it wasn’t real… It’s called psychosis.”

To cooperate with authorities, he deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent. Despite the stress, Samay continued performing and used the experience as material for Still Alive.

Chitrakoot node of Defence Industrial Corridor gains momentum, 75 hectares of land allocated to Bharat Electronics Limited

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday handed over the land allotment letter for 75 hectares in the Chitrakoot node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor to Bharat Electronics Limited Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain.

This initiative is being seen as an important institutional step towards the systematic and phased development of the Chitrakoot defence node, which will strengthen defence manufacturing infrastructure in the state and give fresh momentum to the expansion of the industrial base in the Bundelkhand region.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said, “This initiative will play an important role in establishing Uttar Pradesh as a strong and reliable identity in the field of defence manufacturing, while also accelerating the overall economic and industrial development of the Bundelkhand region.”

Strategically located in central India, the Chitrakoot node is emerging as a major centre for defence production due to its excellent logistics connectivity and geographical suitability, and in the coming time it will become a key driver of investment, employment generation and high technology based industrial development.

Chief Minister added, “Under this project, Bharat Electronics Limited will establish an advanced manufacturing unit for the production of state of the art radar and air defence systems with an investment of approximately ₹562.5 crore. This initiative will not only strengthen high technology based production in the defence sector but will also provide a new direction to the expansion of industrial efficiency and technical capabilities in the state. As a result, there is a possibility of generating more than 300 direct employment opportunities, while large scale indirect employment will also be created in ancillary and allied sectors, opening new avenues for local youth.”

Chief Minister also said, the establishment of this high technology unit in Chitrakoot will create quality employment opportunities for local youth, significantly reducing the need for migration to other regions for jobs. This project will not only strengthen the regional economy but will also institutionally promote the development of technically skilled human resources, research and innovation, thereby strengthening the creation of a modern industrial ecosystem in the state.

He further informed, “This initiative will provide a strong foundation to the resolve of Atmanirbhar Bharat by decisively strengthening indigenous production capacity in the defence sector. It will reduce dependence on imports and enable the creation of a strong, self reliant and integrated defence industrial ecosystem in the country. At the same time, the project will accelerate the development of ancillary and MSME based industries and create new opportunities for advanced technological collaboration, innovation and knowledge transfer, which will help establish the state as a major hub in defence production.”

Chief Minister also mentioned that Chitrakoot, which has so far been known for its rich cultural and spiritual heritage, is now moving towards establishing a new and strong identity in the field of defence manufacturing as well.

He added, “The proposed advanced industrial unit here will not only give new momentum to regional development but will also concretely realize the vision of balanced, inclusive and multidimensional development of the state, creating a strong synergy between traditional heritage and modern industrial progress.”

Immediate relief for every affected farmer and sharecropper, no delay in compensation: Chief Minister

Expressing deep concern over the damage caused to rabi crops due to unseasonal rain, hailstorms, and incidents of fire in some areas, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure swift, transparent, and sensitive action.

Chairing a high-level review meeting on Wednesday morning, the Chief Minister said, “It is natural for farmers to feel worried in such adverse circumstances, and the state government stands firmly with them with full commitment.”

The Chief Minister directed that an accurate, fair, and time-bound assessment of losses for every affected farmer and sharecropper be conducted, and immediate compensation be ensured.

He instructed that effective coordination be established at the district level among revenue, agriculture, and other concerned departments, and that surveys be completed quickly and reports sent to the government without delay, so that relief distribution is not held up.

He also directed officials to maintain active coordination with insurance companies to ensure quick settlement of crop insurance claims.

Officers have been instructed to directly reach out to farmers and ensure they receive the benefits of insurance schemes, so that maximum relief can be provided.

Directing the Revenue Department, the Chief Minister said, “Adequate funds should be immediately made available to each district from the State Disaster Relief Fund. District Magistrates must ensure that assistance is provided to affected farmers in a prompt and transparent manner. Relief camps should be set up wherever required, and mandi committees should also extend all possible support to farmers.”

Taking a sensitive approach towards fire incidents, the Chief Minister directed that in cases of loss of life and livestock, relief funds must be provided within 24 hours.

He also instructed that eligible beneficiaries be promptly covered under the Krishak Durghatna Bima Yojana. Additionally, families whose houses have been damaged or destroyed should be provided housing on priority under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana.

The Chief Minister warned that any negligence in relief and rehabilitation work will be unacceptable, and accountability of concerned officials will be fixed.

The Chief Minister said, “In this time of disaster, the state government stands firmly with every farmer, farming family, and sharecropper with full sensitivity, promptness, and commitment, and providing all possible assistance to them is the government’s highest priority.”
