Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the most followed active politician on Twitter. The development comes after Twitter suspended outgoing US president Donald Trump’s account permanently.

Until a few days ago, the distinction was held by Trump, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter account was only the second in the list of most active politicians with the most followers on Twitter.

Before the suspension of his account, Trump had 88.7 million followers. PM Modi currently has 64.7 million followers.

US President-elect Joe Biden has 23.3 million followers, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah has 24.2 million followers on Twitter. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is also close behind, with 21.2 million followers on Twitter.

While former US President Barack Obama is still the most followed politician on Twitter with 127.9 million followers, US President-elect Joe Biden has 23.3 million followers.

On Saturday, Twitter had permanently suspended the account of Trump due to “risk of further incitement of violence”. The unprecedented move by the California-based social media platform came two days after his supporters stormed the Capitol, bringing disgrace to the country and its democratic institutions. Five people, including a woman and a police officer, died.

Row over racial abuse gets bigger with Ashwin and Harbhajan’s comment

India vs Australia, Racial Abuse, Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah,

The row over the racial abuse in Australia heats up, Ashwin said – We need to deal strictly with the audience.

The case of racial abuse came during the Sydney Test in Australia. On the fourth day, crowd made a racist comment against fast bowler Mohammed Siraj. Meanwhile, India’s off-spinner R. Ashwin has given a big statement. He said that this is not the first time such behavior has happened in Sydney, it has been happening before.

During the press conference after the end of the fourth day of play, Ashwin said that as a society we have developed a lot and in this way such behavior is quite wrong. We should deal with this issue strictly and take care that it does not happen from the future. I was also a victim of 2011 racial comment.

Earlier, star spinner Harbhajan Singh also wrote on social media that this has happened to him many times as well. He was targeted for religion. Bhajji wrote in tweeting, “I have personally heard a lot from the audience about my religion and color while playing in Australia.” Bhajji further wrote by tweeting, ‘Many things were said against me on the field in Australia. This is not the first time the crowd of spectators in Australia is being insolent. How will you stop them?

DRDO develops products to help Indian army

With over 50,000 Indian troops are deployed in Eastern Ladakh to fight against China, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed multiple products such the Him-Taapak heating devices and snow melters to help the soldiers fight the enemy in form of the extremely low temperatures.

DIPAS, which conducts physiological and biomedical research to improve human performance in extreme and wartime environment has also developed ‘Alocal cream’ that helps in preventing frostbite chilblains and other cold injuries to soldiers deployed in extremely cold areas.

DRDO’s Defence Institute for Physiology and Allied Sciences Director Dr Rajeev Varshney said that the Him Tapak space heating device (Bukhari) has been developed for the Indian Army deployed in Eastern Ladakh, Siachen and high altitude areas and it has placed an order of more than Rs 420 crores for these appliances.

He said device will ensure that there are no deaths of jawans due to backblast and carbon monoxide poisoning.

“The Indian Army has placed orders worth Rs 420 crores to the manufacturers of this device and they would be deployed in all new habitats of Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), where the temperature is low,” Varshney was quoted as saying by ANI.

“We have developed one improved space heating device named Bukhari. It has three improvements. First is oil consumption in this device is almost half and as per our calculation, we will be able to save almost Rs 3,650 crore in a year. Very soon it will be deployed all the deployment point of Army,” he said.

“Second, as high altitudes with high wind speed there is a backblast. With this design, there is no backblast. Even if some air is coming to this, the device has three horizontal double-layered plates which can cut the air, so there be no blast. It is a blast-proof Bukhari. The third is that the device is 6 litres capacity device, and combustion is 100 per cent. So, there is no chance that it will produce carbon monoxide and other hazardous gas,” he added.

Sydney Test: India in trouble after Australia sets a massive target of 407

The Indian team is in trouble in the Sydney Test. Australian has set the target of 407 runs in front of the visitors with the heroics of Marnus Labuschagne, Steven Smith, and Chris Green.

In the last innings when the Indian team came out to bat then the openers gave a good start with 71 run opening partnership. Rohit Sharma went on scoring a half-century and by the end of the day, India lost two wickets at 98 runs.

“It is very important that we play a good first session tomorrow,” he said in the presser. “A very ideal and a good first session will be to not lose a wicket. And these two gentlemen have proven through their careers about how good they are in this format of the game and how important they are. Ajinkya got a century at MCG. Puji (Pujara) got a fifty in the first innings. We are all hopeful that they will put a good performance,” he added.

“Sometimes, when you play to the merit of the ball. You put yourself in a situation where in the last session, where you can take a dash at it. You don’t go in the morning and say ‘chalo, hum log 300 bana lenge’. Last time, when we got it at Adelaide (2014), everybody got off to a good start and the game paced that way and we did believe that the score was in our range. Tomorrow also, the batsmen walking in will believe they can do it. That belief is very important when you walk out to the park tomorrow morning.”

The Indian team will miss the likes of Ravindra Jadeja as the all-rounder will not come bat in the second innings for the Indian team after suffering an injury.

Can India make a statement against Australia in Day 5?

India vs Australia, Rahane, Pujara,

The Indian team is without is Ravindra Jadeja as he won’t be coming out to bat again in the final innings after suffering an injury in the first innings.

As of now, Chateshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane are on the crease and they will have the choice of taking the team towards draw or win. The safe choice is definitely taking the team towards a draw.

Well, Rishabh Pant will come to bat and it will also be a good opportunity for Hanuma Vihari as well to showcase his talent and stay on at the crease as much as he can on the final day.

The Australian team is leading in this game till now but anything can happen all the three possibilities are still possible as we have seen it happening in the past as well which is the beauty of Test cricket.
